Wedge salad with added shrimp. I probably wouldn't get this again because there were other options that I preferred.

We came here for a girls dinner (plus my 1 year-old son) because my 5 year-old niece wanted to try a new place, and being self-proclaimed foodies; my sister, mom and I obliged. We were sat immediately even though the restaurant was fairly crowded. It was hard to choose what to get because there were lots of delicious sounding options. My sister got an appetizer - fried spinach and artichoke sticks. They were delicious! We enjoyed our dinner and our time together. Our waiter was wonderful, and the restaurant was very comfortable during our time there. The restaurant was busy, but didn't feel overly crowded and it wasn't too loud to have a conversation. It's not a huge place, but it's not cramped. We all agreed that we would come here again.

A decent place for a wide beer selection and bar food. Atmosphere is dark and mostly clean. Service is good -- not great. We arrived here after the typical Friday afternoon lunch hour; there was still some business happening. The manager was our server ... at least initially. Another dude took over until we had an issue with our appetizer (restaurant's fault, and they owned it, though the issue pretty much caused me to lose my appetite.) Food here is cooked fresh to order. Fish & Chips and Chicken Fried Steak were worthy. Fries were also served hot and crisp. Never did get the malt vinegar, but oh well. Would I come back? Sure. But I cannot give this joint high marks after my first visit.

After stopping at and leaving one of our favorite lunch spots, J.Henry's came up first in my Yelp search. Located in a strip center, this place is pretty low key, but does have a growler fill drive through! Can't beat that! We sat at the bar, as usual. After a couple of small samples, hubs and I selected a beer from the many, many brews on tap. Most beers were from Texas breweries, which I really like. I had a salad with grilled chicken which was delicious. The veggies were cold, fresh and crisp. The chicken was warm, tender and juicy. Hubs had a fried fish sandwich which he said was excellent; perfect breading, tender and hot. French fries were thick cut and delicious. Excellent place for a beer, lunch or casual dinner. Our server was great, available as needed.

Beer selection/prices are definitely a 5. Service is a 5 as well. Waiters were friendly and efficient. They weren't annoyed when I needed a couple samples before settling on a beer. Food is a 4. The energy here is always good. Never too loud and usually never much of a a wait. But never empty.

My friend and I needed food after having a few drinks at The Davenport. Luckily, J. Henry's is practically next door. It literally took less than a minute to drive over. When we arrived, it wasn't busy at all. It was open seating so we grabbed a booth, and the bartender came over quickly to take our drink order. I wasn't sure what I wanted so I told the bartender the types of beers that I like and he suggested the Altstadt Kolsch. It was really good and smooth! My friend had the 3 Nations Blue Raspberry Sucker Punch. They have 51 beers on draft and most of them are from Texas breweries. You can also purchase growlers: 64 oz. for $10 or 32 oz. for $7 plus the cost of beer. The food didn't take long at all to be brought out to us. My friend had the coconut shrimp. She subbed the fries with mashed potatoes. I ordered the herb crusted salmon. It was seasoned well, but was a tad salty. The flavors were delicious though. The veggies (carrots, squash, zucchini, asparagus) were prepared al dente and were very flavorful. I really enjoyed my meal!

Yum yum! Beers and food so good! Legit menu with more than just bar food. Wonderful service by Louis too. Hidden gem. Check it out!

This place was a great find. It's been here a while but we just recently tried it and the food is excellent (sorry we are not beer people, we are just here for the food). Staff and service is excellent. Fish and chips is EXCELLENT . I do wish the larger tables would remain separated and only be pushed together when needed for larger groups. A few times we've been and there's minimal seating so two tables pushed together only have 2 people at them but if separated could be better utilized for 2 groups.

I noticed the smash-fried potatoes were with some of the gluten-free pairings - same with the green beans. I subbed the sides that come with the salmon for those, and they were amazing. My friend got the chicken Milanese and said it was the best chicken she's ever had. It was also a huge piece of chicken. I didn't have any gluten reactions after eating my meal, which is always nice. Street parking is free after 6 pm. Parking in the area is tight if you can't get the street. Overall, I'd absolutely come back. I love venturing to a Hearsay because of the vast amount of gluten-free options. (I wish they'd add bread for the burgers.)

The food came in a very timely matter the waitress and anyone working there seem to be very nice and respectable. The ambience is giving very sexy mode, not rowdy, but you can tell this is definitely a hang out spot for adults. It is dark in there they do have table lamps, but I love it. My child did come with so this kid friendly. The food was definitely a nine out of 10 And not so much of just the taste I'm factoring in the presentation as well. The sticky rice was amazing. I mean the shrimp had the perfect type of heat mind you I did Houston restaurant week. So I got three course meal for $39. My first course was the sticky rice 9.5 out of 10 My second course was the fried chicken smothered with gravy and mushroom mashed potatoes and kale greens .. I'm gonna give it a eight out of 10 because I did not like the mushrooms. This gravy wasn't seasoned very well, but it was still very good. My last course was the brownie and oh my God it was absolutely delicious I think that was like my favorite part. I really wanted to order another brownie because it was really good. Overall, I have to get this place at nine out of 10. I'm definitely coming back to try some other meals.

There is a small amount of seating inside, but I wouldn't recommend it if you're more than a pair and don't like tight/loud spaces. It also gets pretty busy on Thursday-Saturday evenings to the point where there's no seating or parking so I'd recommend hitching a table a bit earlier (8-9pm). The service has always been good aside from them getting a little backed up at times. Their cocktails are always interesting since they do rotate the menu (my favorite is the holiday season). However I do remember their espresso martinis being pretty below average the past few times i've had them, and one time there wasn't even any foam on top. Maybe it was a bad day for the bartender? Considering the recent shutter of other places (#2) within the hospitality umbrella, it's not too big of a surprise that Wooster's would also be in the crosshairs. The space was always a nice mix of indoor and outdoor seating, which combined with its dedicated parking lot made this an easy drinking outlet for all kinds of occasions. The intimate indoor space was lovely and well ventilated, and it felt like there wasn't ever a moment where the bar wasn't slammed. The outdoor space was much of the same, with lots of tables and chairs, and even the trendy swing chairs facing the city. The only thing that was a little bit of a liability were those open flame heaters; it would only take on person to accidentally walk into one or trip onto it. For libations, the drinks were well priced, well made, and always potent. I appreciated the aesthetics, as well as the bartenders who made them. The only part that wasn't exciting was the limited food menu, which did its part as munchies for the drink heavy crowd, but was mediocre otherwise. The space is already undergoing the new facelift of a separate concept, one of which I hope will do the area justice, just as much as Wooster's did. ____________ (#1) The Kirby Group. (#2) R.I.P.
