I have been going in to see Ferra for almost a year now to get my eyebrows threaded. She is awesome! I an Italian/American so I have eyebrows that are lustrous to say the least. Most people do not know how to work with them, and they usually rip them off with no shape. Sri is amazing! I came in at 6pm as a walk In for a trim. I wanted to kill some time before heading home in traffic from Santa monica. Sri was busy but they put me down for 7, and I came back at 7. It wasn't bad because I went to Starbucks and then came back. At 7, she was with another customer finishing up and I was in the chair by 7:05. I only wanted wanted a trim and to fix my layers and she was very accommodating. She provided some suggestions and opinions, but throughly made sure to cut only what I wanted. Since my hair gets oily easily, she washed it first and then started the trim. She is very friendly and I loved the finished product. I think I found my new hair salon in Santa monica. read more

Friends of ours recommended Sri back when she worked at The Yellow Balloon in Santa Monica. We needed someone skilled and gentle to cut the hair of our toddler daughter. Sri gave our child her first hair cut.... and many after. Sri is very fast, skilled, and a lovely person. Due to geography we have had a few different people cut our daughters hair... but we keep coming back to Sri as she does a great job, and the haircut grows out the best, so it looks the best the longest. Sri has been cutting my hair for over 25 years now and she's the best in history. With every cut she knows exactly what I'm looking for. In the '90s when I loved layers she knew how to do them so perfectly. When I was bold and went for the bob she taught me how to style and shape it myself at home. Now that my hair is getting thinner she knows exactly how to angle my cut but keep the length that has taken me so long to grow. I hate washing my hair....its curly, thick and freezie and needs to be styled (straightened or mouse and hairspray...its a process) after every wash. I went in to see Sri for a hair cut, which she is great at. We got to talking and she mentioned a keratin treatment she can put in my hair to help with the freeze. I always have doubts about my hair but I got it done. I took a shower this morning put nothing in my hair, waited for it to dry and holy crap my hair is straight without any freeze! I love my hair this morning, I love the cut Sri gave me and especially the keratin treatment. This is going to make my life a little easier!!! read more

Sri, who owns Studio One, is a gifted hair stylist. She has been cutting my hair since I was five. Twenty years later, she now cuts not only my hair, but also my mom's and dad's. She even cut my grandmother's hair! I know that I can always count on Sri to do a wonderful cut - she is creative, thoughtful, and quick. She has great judgement and an impeccable sense of style. When I lived in New York, I used to spend a fortune on my hair...and it was never nearly as wonderful as what Sri does. Simply put, Studio One is a great spot. I found Studio One about a year ago. It was recommended that I use Sri to cut my hair. As far as I'm concerned I found the best in the business. My first session she used her iPad to take before and after photos and really listened to what I wanted done. She is always very nice as is her entire staff.
