Not only did he wreak of cigarettes and clearly did not wash his hands before putting them all in my clean hair and scalp, but the products smell old and musty! As the wind blew the smell was incredibly strong I couldn't hold my stomach anymore and had to run! I left the salon halfway thru STINKING! I cannot escape the thick smell of musty old perfume and cigarettes my car is full of it now! SO GROSS! As another stylist walked by and asked "what did you put on your stye?" (Not really what I wanted to think about at the salon) he replied "I peed on it." and paused looking at him for his reaction???? His technique was pressing my hair down flat and blow drying it against my head not lifting from the roots He completely ignored that I mentioned I have a cowlick. I try small talk and gave up since she didn't wanna say much. She did an ok job on my hair. My hair color bled and stained my clothes..and itched for 2 days My ick of this salon and I hope they fix this fast is the hair station is always filthy. They should clean after each customer. Hair all over the counter. Majority of hair products are empty. I have to go to other stations to find what I need. The combs and brush drawer are mostly unsanitized. Karen convinced me to wax my upper lip and chin for the makeup and made me break out! I don't know why she went all way to my neck but it was the WORST wax of my life! She was pulling on my skin really hard as she was applying the wax. The wax was way too hot. The make up that she put on me was sooo heavy. I showed her my dress which was a light green and white. It was way to dark and the lashes were not placed well. It looked like it was coming off my eyelid. My hair didn't even stay curled for the short drive home. When I got home I had to recurl my hair and try to fix my makeup. She had an apprentice doing my daughters hair which she didn't mention until she had already started my daughters hair. Her hair is curly and I wanted simple curls. She put NO heat protection on her hair. She blow dried her dry hair briefly and sprayed her hair with hairspray as she curled her hair. The front of her hair was very frizzy and when I mentioned it she kept passing the curling iron on it. She left my daughters hair smelling burnt and frizzy. Her curls did not last either. It took days to get the smell of burnt out of her hair. I paid $350 for horrible service! I will never come back here again or recommend anyone come here! I am not a difficult client to please. I am NOT a customer that is never satisfied. I have had my makeup and hair done other places without issue. To brush me off and say I am just never satisfied is not taking ACCOUNTABILITY for your POOR work!! Please look elsewhere ladies!!

I've been to this salon five times. On two separate occasions, I drove from Arlington to Gaithersburg for scheduled appointments, only to arrive and be told that Diane, the tech I was booked with, was not in that day. No call. No text. No heads-up. The first time, management said they didn't have my phone number, and the second time, I specifically gave it, but still wasn't contacted. I continued coming back because this was clearly a management issue, not Diane's. To avoid further problems, I began confirming appointments directly with Diane. That's when things became even more troubling. During a visit, I was asked to take down a negative Yelp review, which I explained I had never left. Later, when I called to make an appointment, the man at the front desk said Diane "refused to do my nails" and that I needed to contact her directly. Diane told me she never refused and had no idea why that was said. When I called back, the man was rude, dismissive, and hung up on me, instructing me not to book through the salon again. I asked Diane to clarify this with management, but she said it was about a negative review I supposedly posted--something I had never done. She even mentioned the review listed another person's name and photo, which she had told management, yet the issue kept coming up. After I requested she follow up with the man, she stopped responding entirely. At no point was I rude or unreasonable. I simply expected basic professionalism, communication, honesty, and respect. Instead, I was blamed for something I didn't do, misrepresented, and dismissed repeatedly. This experience was about far more than nails, it was about how easily a loyal customer can be treated with disrespect.

I love that she also shared her life stories with me. I told her I had a date later in the evening, and she knew exactly what hairstyle would look good on me! She washed my hair and blowed dried it into these curls. I'm usually a little tender headed, and she made sure I was comfortable at each step! When I inquired about her experience, Aleyda mentioned she has been doing this unprofessionally for 10 years, ended up working at a salon for someone else, and decided to pursue her passion of creating her own business. She informed me she studied artistic styling in California, has done hair styles for wedding, and hopes to venture more into lash application and sugaring.
