Located in downtown, this studio offers three types of classes currently, Interval (consists of rotating between treadmill, rower, and floor exercise with weights kind of like Barry's but with extra rotation of rowers), 3x3 (mat style HIIT class that rotates through three different exercises that focuses on body parts and mostly using weights), mat heated Pilates, and Hi Def (more heat and cardio compared to 3 by 3). As of last time I went they currently do NOT offer cycling any more (unsure if they will bring it back). The studio itself is gorgeous - glass windows everywhere overlooking downtown Austin. The interval class is a low lights kind of club vibe with music while the 3 x 3 classes are held in glass rooms so very light and airy. For the classes requiring mats they do provide mats and towels and the room has labeled numbers where to put your mat down but know that the spacing is very tight and in a full class you're on top of each other. I have found the instructors to be incredibly friendly and personable and even in a big class they do try to get your name if they can. My favorite so far is Al Cairns and Carla Jian as they focus on form but also go around and check on everyone. Parking wise they offer 90 minute validated parking at 400 San Jacinto Ave but the parking can get full so there is another lot $5 at Littlefield. I never had trouble getting parking for the morning and noon classes, but evening is definitely more difficult. Cost wise I take the classes through Classpass but the cost usually range from $25-35 a class based on package you get. There Black Friday sale is very good and can get it down to $20-$22 a class. Amenity wise they provide showers with nice shampoo/conditioner/body wash and Dyson hair dryers and towels! read more

Since August of 2025, I've now taken 261 classes at Studio Three. The entire team is amazing from the friendly front staff to the talented, motivating instructors. A huge shout out to Al, David, Wes, and Josh for teaching my favorite class, Interval. I used to be afraid of jogging on a treadmill. Now I can jog at a decent pace without fear. The other strength training classes (like HiDef, 3x3) are also fantastic in addition to their hot mat pilates and yoga classes. I can lift heavier weights thanks to Studio Three. One of my absolute new fav spots for a workout class! I absolutely love coming in Friday mornings, there's usually a class on the second floor that has the entire three walls as windows and it's the nicest workout studio I've been able to workout in downtown (which is a bold statement!). I absolutely love how much light was coming in as well as the views surrounding as were absolutely beautiful. And of course the best part- the workout! Have had the best instructor on Friday mornings, she's motivational and super fun! The workouts I go to are called 3X3 and I love how it incorporates weights as well as HIIT work. Studio Three was my go-to gym during the 2+ years I lived in Austin, and it never disappointed. The workouts are always solid--Jessica, Clara, and Mackenzie seriously know how to kick my a$$. The themed classes make it even more fun--shoutout to the Rufus & Miley Cyrus session, definitely my favorite! I'm giving it 4 stars mainly because the area outside has gotten a bit sketchy. There's been an increase in homeless activity, so just stay alert when parking and be aware of your surroundings. It's available on ClassPass as well as with a regular membership, which makes it super accessible. read more

This is one of my favorite studios to go to. I go early in the morning, where parking is always free. When you walk into the place, it's such a nice vibe! The front desk is very accommodating. The instructors get you hype. I love the quality of this studio. You don't have to worry about bringing anything but your water. You will always have a reserved spot. I don't love how close the spots are to each other, but I get it. It is nice though you can space out afterwards if there is room. The music also is always great. You have lockers to put your stuff. The heat of the studio is pretty bearable. Overall, this is a nice studio with a really cool vibe. My favorites are 3X3 and Hi Def! read more

I have been a member of this club for almost 2 years, and I would rate the trainers excellent -- with one exception. For the last 3-4 months I don't understand what is happening with the classes. A new trainer, Al, arrived who clearly has no idea what he is doing. He cannot protect the women in his class from aggressive men, and then behaves like a 5-year-old child, getting offended when told the truth to his face. His classes are terrible, but he is the only one teaching interval training at this club now, so if you don't like his classes, you have no choice. Local management doesn't care and does not respond to complaints. I don't want to take the hot room classes because I cannot work out in a sauna environment -- and even when I attend those classes, the trainers constantly bring up Al's name. I don't understand what is going on. Did this guy buy Studio 3 and now everyone is supposed to love him? Was turned away for being one minute past the 5 minute entry - it literally turned to the next minute as we were talking. The front office person was rude and it left such a bad taste in my mouth. I fought horrible traffic and pouring rain in the middle of downtown to get there. I was so excited and given the fact that it was torrential down pouring outside and it was my first session, I'd hoped for a bit of understanding or at least friendliness. (Not that he asked or cared - but I had experienced low blood sugar on my way there and had to stop to stabilize my blood sugar - I'm type 1 diabetic and it's a struggle that I have to deal with every day. The front office worker didn't even give me an opportunity to explain and it was so disheartening.) I don't think this place values customer service or kindness. This was the place I was most excited to visit - but now I'll encourage others to choose different places. read more

I was traveling in town on business and caught a class at studio three. The instructor was incredibly welcoming, and the class was amazing! The studio itself has a gorgeous aesthetic, is super clean, and is within walking distance of a bunch of hotels and restaurants. Gorgeous studio in the heart of downtown Austin. Of course with it being located downtown that means parking is a hassel - they offer complimentary 90-min parking for class attendees at the 4th/San Jacinto Parking Lot. Parking is available on a first come first serve basis and it is quite small so chances are you will end up using the $5 validation at Littlefield Garage. Don't forget to validate parking at the front desk before you leave. We took a cycling class and really enjoyed how high energy and choreography packed the class was. Their bikes are a little different than other ones I've used in the past (Cyclebar, Love and Ride) but the instructor did a great job walking around before class started helping everyone set up. The locker room is also very nice and well equipped for if you want to shower and get ready for work/school there. If you live downtown and could walk to the studio I would recommend more than if you have to commute in. Overall I can't wait to come back for another class :) read more

THE BLACK AND WHITE: Beautiful big space with three rooms: Yoga, Interval, and Cycle. I came here with the wife with the S3 intro pack for the Austin opening. 3 classes for $60! We did the interval training with Hans, great workout splitting time between tread, weights and row. Reminded me of Barrys. Then Cycle with Alana. And finally Hot Yoga with Michael. Great workouts with great instructors Locker rooms are nice and clean with towels. I wish they had a hairdryer and some hair gel, but otherwise decent amenities THE FINAL BAMBOO: If you're looking for a good workout with the three flavors, I'd say check this out. Studio Three is slowly becoming one of my favorite fitness studios in Austin! The "Three" in its name represents the three types of workouts that the studio provides: (1) HIIT-style workouts with treadmill, weight floor, and rowing rotations (similar to studios like Orangetheory and Barry's); (2) Cycling; (3) Heated Yoga Flow and/or Heated Strength Training. My favorite type of class that they offer is called the HI DEF 60 (they also offer 45-minute classes). All the workouts are done barefoot in their heated yoga room on a yoga mat, and there's the option to incorporate bands and dumbbells into the different exercises. I love this class because it's a combination of some yoga techniques with strength training and cardio throughout the 60 minutes. If you've never taken this before, I highly recommend taking it with Coach Cassidy because she does a fantastic job of describing and demonstrating each exercise/technique and is very encouraging throughout the entire class (and has EDM-remixed song versions to help pump you up!). The "cheery on top" for this studio is the fact that they already provide yoga mats, an abundant amount of lockers, towels for class, and even towels for their newly-renovated shower rooms! :) read more

A very nice studio that has many amenities to a nutrition shop and showers and locker rooms. The class was great and tough and will definitely be a place I will go back to. This is the best studio in Austin! I first discovered studio three on a spring break trip to Chicago in 2020 and I knew that studio was special. We got our own slice of special in Austin. The three studio concept under one payment is an amazing deal but really you're getting more than three types of work outs. Spin, interval,yogo, 3x3 (weights upper body, lower body, and core), and HiDef (weight in a heated room with a Tabata style workout). There's not an instructor that isn't amazing here! There's three garages that they pay for but I end up street parking most classes as it's more affordable and a lot of street parking usually by the studio. read more

New gym right under the Thompson hotel. Multiple types of classes and friendly welcoming staff. Attended two different classes during a weekday, 4:30 rhythm cycle, and 5:30 heated yoga flow. The first class was quite empty but the instructor (Carla) brought the energy as if the class was completely full and didn't slack not one bit.The cycling room holds up to 55 people which is quite big compared to the other studios in the area. The heated yoga class was completely full but the instructor (Michael) guided the class with several different variations for beginners to elite. Unsure if they validate parking but there is plenty of street parking and parking garages nearby. Inside there is also a smoothie/coffee shop, a spin off from the restaurant Well on 2nd Street. Large amount of lockers for personal belongings and women and men locker rooms with showers. read more

I have struggled for years to find a gym that combines hard yet fun classes with VARIETY (not just a cycling studio, or just hot yoga only). Studio 3 has EVERYTHING you could want to keep your workouts interesting, well-rounded to create a solid physique, and the friendliest instructors/staff! I was by no means a gym rat, but I find myself craving coming back to this gym with this community 5-6 days a week. I really like that studio three has multiple workout options. I try to do a combo of cycling, HIIT, and yoga every week and was excited to see that they do all three! The studio is very nice and the classes are challenging. My biggest complaint is the parking. Studio three only fully validates parking for the outdoor lot down the street which only has a few spaces and is full most of the time. They partially validate for the garage across the street (which is generally my back up option) but you still have to pay $5 to park there. I think I would consider signing up for the $199/month membership if parking wasn't such a hassle. read more

Started at studio three in March and I go every morning before work. I like how many different class options there are and times. Parking is free on the street in the morning and they also have validated parking for 90 min. The classes are challenging and it's super easy to sign up for them through the app. They have a U27 unlimited membership option which has been great. Would definitely recommend! read more
