- I think i paid good money for cutting these trees $1,750 ( i will attached pictures ) and i expected a good job based also on jose talking during the estimate. jose never showed up during the service nor after to see the end result and i couldn't talk directly with him either. - when the crew first showed up they didn't want to cut the little tree in my backyard, they simply said not on the order, why i have now to trouble myself to call their office and find out what happened?? i just told them they can leave right away then, so they finally took care of the paperwork - the little tree in the backyard was just cut at the base of the trunk, roots were not grind, i could have done that myself if jose would had told me that they cannot grind the roots, i just assumed they would, so ask for detailed explanation from jose and make sure he writes on paper - little bush on the side of the house was removed but also in this case i found lots of roots under the surface, i removed them myself, they also broke 2 fence stakes, i fixed them myself see pic - big tree in front of the house was removed as expected but they didn't grind roots near the concrete, they said they couldn't but i didn't believed them and called them back, they grind them just fine without problems, i don't know why they didn't do it right the first time. They also left a mess including little branches which i cleaned up they said the barks and extra dirt will go down but so far after a month with rain too, nothing change. I recently tried to restore the sprinkler now under the barks and found out it was completely broken when i told them to be careful of that sprinkler and they assured me no problems - customer support; apparently she is sooo busy she cannot answer to your text for days, but if you call then she takes a look, also long time to get back to you, i had to keep calling, this is the customer view of their support, if they are soo busy why don't get some help? - final thought; i won't use their service anymore ever, also because compared with same job performed by other companies at 2 of my friends i would rate stumpman service barley 2 stars, they failed in all aspects of the business, this is my experience with this specific crew they sent to my house and jose for the estimate and cynthia at the customer support I had to hire another company to finish their job see pictures a lot of small and big roots left just under the surface, that's not a professional job read more

Outstanding service! I cannot recommend Stumpman enough. They were so informative and accommodating. My consultation was great, scheduling was easy and they worked with my work schedule. The team showed up on time every day as it was a two-day project and they worked non-stop. They cleaned everything up and I mean they cleaned up, even what my rotten gardner's never clean up. They were so fantastic!!! Now about the trees. We went over what we wanted with them a couple times just to ensure they got it. Took pics and all. They pretty much nailed it. Our back yard looks so clean and there is so much more light coming into our house now. But most importantly the trees look good. Not a hack job at all. They are beautifully manicured and look attractive. Basically how they should have looked. They also cut our pieces of wood down to one foot portions and stacked it for us. We paid an inordinate amount of money just a couple of years ago to another company and it just looked awful. Unfortunately here we are having to have it done again way too soon. We were new to this whole process (new homeowners)so we didn't know any better. Lesson learned. The Stumpman team knows what they are doing and they were willing to walk us through all of it. A couple things to note: 1. Contact them to confirm their arrival time. Mine changed the day before but I hadn't picked up their message. 2. Be prepared for a change in scope of work if crew boss does not agree with estimator. My scope changed but they offered only a little less as a result. I agreed, but in retrospect, it was a good deal less work. You need to be present and discuss change in the price. 3. Double check neighbors' yards to ensure all branches are picked up. The following morning my neighbor deposited several large branches in my yard. 4. Crew boss has annoying habit of addressing women as "hon". Other than that, the crew was fast, efficient, neat, and careful. They cut my tree as requested and left chips. Nothing went to the dump. read more

These guys came out and removed our 100 foot tall pine needle tree in the front yard. Jose and his crew did an amazing job. Many big branches were hanging over the house and they used great caution in getting those down without risking any damage to the house. The price we got from these guys was much more reasonable than all other places. They even cut up some firewood for me to use this winter and for winters to come. After the tree was down they did a thorough cleanup after removing the stump and raked and blew our entire front yard and concrete so it looks good as new. I've used Stumpman twice, once last year to trim a tree and again this December to remove a really giant tree. They were excellent on all accounts. Jose, the owner, is easy to communicate with. The team showed up on time both times and were efficient. They cleaned up after the job and made the process totally painless. Stumpman was by far the most reasonably priced quote we got for removing the tree. We weren't able to get scheduled until a month after we initially called, but Jose had offered to come by and do minor trimming to remove any branches in case the tree got out of control during a windstorm while we were waiting for our appointment. We had a giant, 80 year-old plumb tree growing into our eves, as well as our neighbors, and these guys had it cleaned up beautifully in about an hour. I asked that they leave large branches cut and stacked and chip the rest of the smaller branches. Not a problem at all. They asked at the end of the trim how it looked and they took another large branch off at my request.
