I've been a customer of Stumptown DTLA since 11-12 years before and so sad that it has been closed. I visit Pasasena store whenever I visit Pasadena ans this place provides good quality Stumptown coffee. Interior is unique and cute. Location is too isolated though. read more

Stumptown... I hate to say it, but my experience was disappointing. Despite my high hopes, I felt like I had descended into some version of a handmaiden's tale upon walking in. It was like all employees were indentured servants, doing only what was necessary to fulfill their obligation. While the place is aesthetically pleasing and clean, the lack of warm greetings, introductions, name tags, or any attempt to engage with customers left me feeling unwelcome. They would be better off having a kiosk to place orders than wasting money on the quality of staff they are employing. I had to initiate conversation, ask about their offerings, and inquire about basic information such as their hours and whether they had an app. I literally walked here and as someone hoping for a simple and pleasant coffee experience to support a local business, I was let down. Instead, I found myself considering going to McDonald's, where I am greeted with smiles and genuine enthusiasm from the staff . Do better or you won't last here. read more

Great new coffee shop in a growing area full of new places to try. They give a small discount if you get your drinks for here since it cuts down on to go cups which is nice. Great barista very friendly and welcoming and most of all great coffee would definitely go back. read more

Showed up for the first time, but only because they had a Coraline theme. The place is very welcoming and the interior design is beautiful. However, the drinks were honestly not that good. I ordered the limited edition coconut cream drink and it wasn't good in my opinion. They made the drink too fast so maybe that's why. I also ordered a mocha drink and it also came out bad. I like their punch card and that they give an extra punch if I bring a personal cup, but the staff are SO rude. They are so snobby and pretentious, and give off very arrogant vibes... Even when they make mistakes (wrong amount of milk, no syrup when I ordered it, etc.), they are rude about it. I've given them so many tries, hoping that the staff would be nicer, but it seems to be a culture there. I have decided I will never go back again. It's not worth being disrespected and having my day ruined. There are many other cafes in Pasadena that are better and cheaper, and more respectful. This place charges twenty five cents extra if you order your drink iced... I was told this cost was for the plastic cup that the iced drink comes in. For a drink thats already close to $7 i thought it was crazy that they charge even more for the cup. read more

If you are going for the Coraline themed experience I would say it's not worth driving more than 1hr. I visited with my family last week and they were out of Coraline merch which was ok we understood. The Coraline Cold Brew drink I thought was a bit overpriced. The small sized cup was $7 and you need to make sure to grab a cup holder because that's the only Coraline thing they have for the cups. The drink itself was ok, although I was expecting more. It's nice if you can sit inside and have your drink because they do have a few Coraline decorations up on the walls. However, I went on a Saturday around 11pm and of course it was packed. The line took like 20 minutes with no hopes of sitting inside unfortunately, not to mention it was hot outside. The idea is cute but again at the end of the day if you're driving for more than 1hr know that you're probably just going for a $7 small sized drink which is ok at best in taste and the only real Coraline thing you'll be taking away is a cup holder and maybe a few nice pics. I would recommend making a trip out of the day, if you do decide to visit this cafe, and just making this one quick stop. Oh and you will need to find street parking. Sorry I don't mean to crush anyone's hopes this was just my sincere experience. read more

Went to Stumptown today for the Coraline collab and was disappointed to say the least. Zero Coraline merch whatsoever. They didn't even have vanilla or caramel syrup which is so basic!?! How are you only gonna have honey, simple syrup and hazelnut?? Be for real, how do you not have the simplest coffee ingredients? The coraline collab began mid July so it's been well over a few weeks by now so why are you not prepared? Tik tok is crazy of course you're gonna sell out.
