IT took a few days before I got a quote. They couldn't give me a quote when I walked in and stated they needed to call the distributor. I find that odd that they couldn't give me a price list on the spot. Also the request was something very simple and we weren't looking for fancy toilets. I finally got the email quote a few days later. It would of been close to $800+ for a toilet. When I selected the toilet, the rep tried to up sell me and asked many questions about toilet supply line connection, etc. We ended up with Build with Ferguson (showroom in Bellevue) and was able to get the same toilet spec for around $600. A little over a year ago Bellevue plumbing came out to jet my side sewer line. The line was old and the jetter busted through the side sewer pipe. The technician kept jetting through the dirt burying his jetter head and hose far beneath my driveway and under my garage floor, never trying to occasionally pull back the hose like he should have been doing. When jetter was buried beyond Hope and he couldn't retrieve it he said it was my responsibility to pay for it. Like avfool I did, over $2000. I later found out that the customer is not responsible for damages done to the plumbing company's equipment. I tried to get my money back , but they refused to pay me back. This company is a rip off. Don't give them your business. If there was a zero rating I would give them that. read more

Bellevue Plumbing fixed a drainage leak in our crawlspace and ran a new waterline to our house. I looked over the work, and it was first-rate. Yay! Higher water pressure! It only took two mornings. They used a hydraulic ram/ water jet to drill the hole from the meter to the crawlspace, which was fast and fun to watch. They also did a very clean job digging down to the water meter connections. I've been using Bellevue Plumbing for numerous calls since I moved here, but this weekend, after a much more serious plumbing emergency, I have to give a huge shout out to Denver - off hours, late night, multiple follow up calls and texts with tons of patience. He couldn't take my initial emergency given the hours and the kind of gear he had in his truck, but did move things forward with not just a referral (Gene Johnson Plumbing), but multiple follow up calls and texts given that the problem was not being resolved. Denver did not need to offer that level of consulting service, but he did and I'm very thankful. I'm going with him and continuing to go with his company for future work. . . . In short, looks like a belly situation which that took hours and multiple plumber trips to diagnose, but not solve. Punched a hole through one of the pipes after TONS of snaking (which obviously didn't help with the belly) - raw sewage now in crawlspace. Non-trivial damage to the drywall in one of the bathrooms due to the equipment (flying snake tips) - but the priority here was to resolve the problem ASAP by doing high quality work. And the team from Gene Johnson were really, really friendly and spent so much time on this job, late into the night. Shame on you! My 79 year old, retired mom was charged $420 to replace a rubber stopper in her toilet. Is this how you want you mom or grandma treated? I understand plumbers provided a valuable and skilled service, but in my opinion this should have cost $200 max = $100-$150 labor + $50 for parts. Due to prior plumbing issues that pre-dated our purchase of the house, two of our toilets started coming out of the wall. We called Bellevue Plumbing and Lauren diagnosed that the toilets were installed improperly and were the wrong size for our frames. She explained everything and also diagnosed a sewage leak that had been occurring since the other plumbing work was done (in 2018!). She helped steer us towards what other work we needed done and the work of Lauren and her co-workers was fast and efficient. I had Bellevue Plumbing come out as a recommendation from my usual plumber who was overloaded. They were excellent! They unclogged one of my 2 house drains, also unclogged a bathroom sink, and solved a hot water leak in another bathroom. Nothing complicated, but they did it all very efficiently. I had requested they pay particular attention to keeping any mess to an absolute minimum, and they did exactly that! I also appreciated that they didn't try to upsell, seek any reviews, or try to raise the original quoted bid for the work (unlike a certain company that starts with "Rot__"). They were also very efficient, wore masks due to COVID-19, and wore shoe covers upon my request. I'd absolutely use them again, for both my home and my business. read more

We've been using Bellevue Plumbing for both commercial and residental needs for a number of decades. They are our go to plumber for our commercial property management company. Most recently we have had Lauren and Troy do work at my elderly mom's house replacing a water heater and some water & gas valves. They recommended wise solutions and we didn't spend any more than was needed. Then we had we had some emergency commercial building problems that took some real brainstorming. I have used Bellevue Plumbing for years and my last experience with them has been upsetting. For $250 an hour they came multiple times to fix a problem that their tech admitted to not knowing how to fix. I eventually called somebody else who fixed it quickly for 1/3 of the price. When I expressed dismay at the cost and the lack of knowledge, they sent me an invoice. I am in the service industry and I would never bill a client for something I couldn't do or was learning how to do at their expense. I have talked them repeatedly on the phone, they are not kind or customer oriented. While their team in the past have been exceptional, this last experience is enough for me to write this review, which I don't like doing. The whole experience with the company was a disaster! In Oct 2017 I have a leakage in my front yard and I used this company to fix it, they installed a valve and charged my $900 for it. Now it's only 1 year and 10 months, the exact same spot breaks again, I called several times and asked them to repair it. No one showed up in the first appointment and I had to call and found out they are too busy. Today a guy showed up and told me it's all my responsibility and they need to re-charge me to fix it. I really can't believe this, it's still less than 2 year, but I can't argue with since they said there was no warranty on their service at all. I'm not really sure where to start because the reason I needed the help of a professional plumber is a little embarassing. My roommate and I decided to go on an epic drinking binge while playing Cards against Humanity... as so many do in Seattle. One thing lead to another, and my roommate was getting sick in the bathroom. We have two cats and they were sitting outside crying. Apparently said roomie was so epically sick there was a toilet clog. I'm no stranger to those so I had brought a pot of warm water to try to flush down the upheaval of Wingdome and beer he let forth on our poor porcelain god. One of the cats got spooked at the sound of upchuck noise, got under my feet, and instead of pouring recently boiled water on my roommates head I tried to aim for the sink but lost my balance and the pot dropped and cracked the entire sink bowl. I'm not very handy and didn't trust myself to try to fix this by going to the hardware store so I called Bellevue plumbing. They were so nice, and understanding, and let me come in and pick out from a selection in a catalogue as well as some instore options a replacement. Two days ago one of the worst things one can imaging happening at your dinner table occurred - water cascading out of a ceiling light fixture onto the dinner table! I called Bellevue Plumbing (referred from my contractor friend) and spoke with Stan. His calming demeanor kept me at ease as he scheduled the appointment. Most plumbers have a waitlist of one or more weeks out. I did not have a long wait to have them come out. He scheduled the appointment within two days! Lauren and Troy were the visiting plumbers. Lauren is an extremely knowledgable, experienced plumber assisted by Troy who is pretty darn good too. Within minutes she was able to correctly diagnose the the problem - the diverter was broken - causing water from the bathtub faucet for showering to back up into and down the wall. The water followed the path of least resistance which took it to the light fixture opening. The replacement part is ordered, she'll return to install it. It was as simple as that for an experienced professional plumber! You can imagine if not resolved properly all the damage that could occur (not to mention, replacing drywall, painting, and possibly installing a new light fixture). Thanks Bellevue Plumbing! As a side note, I had been waiting to address some minor plumbing annoyances: dripping kitchen water faucet, a GRINDING garbage disposal, and a master bath sink that had a trickle of hot water coming out. All of these items were addressed and resolved! The kitchen water faucet does not drip (replaced cartridge, instead of water faucet), cleaned out garbage disposal (instead of replacement garbage disposal saving nearly $900), and diagnosed low pressure hot water (waiting for the replacement part) Note: All this and addressing the water issue from the light fixture was done in less than 1 1/2 hours! Our water shut off valve was leaking and I called Bellevue Plumbing.............Biggest mistake I ever made. They send Lauren and Troy out. After a short inspection they said they would have a company come out and locate the leak. That was Friday the 24th. Saturday i discovered it was the shut off valve that was leaking. i left several massages over the week end to let them know I found the leak. Not Bellevue Plumbing. I am 85 and my wife is 81. we were out of water, Friday night Saturday Sunday Monday until today at noon. Well Monday i called there office and talked to Stan. This is what he said. Lauren called in sick today!! And the other Plumber also called in sick. This was Monday Morning the 27th. Two main Plumbers call in sick................ In talking to a actual plumber, I was told that this is what company's do, when they don't want to do a certain job.. I am shocked that a company would treat senior's this way. My wife and I have been just miserable without water, and a company who knows this and acts this way should be penalized and have there license revoked. No one should do business with a company like this and what I'm told, by a former employee of Bellevue Plumbing, was that they SUCK. read more

Dealing with Bellevue Plumbing has been a nightmare. A new water heater was installed incorrectly in my 72-old mother's home, in the sense that the temperature controls were not accessible (a door from the closet where the water heater was installed has to be removed to set the temperature). A simple rotation of the heater would fix this. A plumber came to inspect, but said the rotation was not under warranty; he removed the closet door reset the temperature to what he thought was good, and then told my mom to not change the temperature again. This is ridiculous and unprofessional - my entire life we've regularly raised the water temperature in winter, and lowered it in summer to save costs. I disputed the no warranty coverage since Bellevue Plumbing installed the water heater - it's not our fault that they installed it incorrectly. After calling the office, explaining the situation, I was told that the rotation would indeed be covered under warranty. A couple days later the same plumber calls and says it's no longer under warranty, and that the person I talked to in the office was wrong. I'm not sure if it's plumber laziness, poor communication in their office, a dysfunctional business, or just plain greed, but I think it's criminal that they won't reorient their poor installation so that my senior mother can regulate her water's temperature. Avoid this company at all costs. UPDATE: Following the owner's response to my original review, I felt I needed to respond. I'm obviously not an expert of WA state code, but the owner's response "When the hot water tank was installed the temperature was set correctly" is mind boggling when my 72-year old mother was COLD when taking a shower and couldn't increase the temperature on her water heater due to the way Bellevue Plumbing installed the water heater. Furthermore, "The plumber responded that with modern hot water tanks/controls that the need to raise and lower temperature was not required" is again ludicrous since my mother was COLD during her shower. I again reiterate that this is criminal, and I let the readers form their own opinion, especially reading the owner's responses. Furthermore, as I mentioned in my previous review, there is a lack of communication at this office. I was completely forthcoming with Taylor (rep of Bellevue Plumbing) in that I told him that my mom just purchased her condo, and the previous owner had installed a new water heater a few months before, and no one had used it. I'm not sure who Camille is, but I was very respectful to any administrative assistants I spoke to. I will admit I was testy with the plumber who refused to fix his shoddy work, and was disrespectful himself. There are many excellent plumbing companies out there, and I've done business with many on the east side. I strongly suggest potential customers avoid this company and seek out other more respectable firms. I would recommend them here, but I don't think yelp allows it. read more

We needed to have the washing machine valves replaced for the person buying my Mom's condo. No problem getting an appt. but that's the only good thing I can say. The guy contacted my husband about arriving early so he went over there. He looked at it and said he didn't have the parts and would come back at the actual appt. time. He did and spent 90 minutes on it and charged us $702 (including tax)! Outrageous. How do you charge $158 for two valves that I see online for $25 each? I complained and they knocked off a small amount of the ridiculous labor cost. Never again. read more
