The salon, itself, was cozy and clean. I went in to get acrylic nails after taking a break from them for a little over a month. I walked in, Renee told me to sit down and began making suggestions. I agreed to one and was initially satisfied with the results. However, within a day or two my nails started breaking. Im a little disappointed how Renee acted towards me yesterday. I'm normally a regular. I used to live a block away from her shop but recently moved to Brooklyn park, I'd still make the commute to Renee just because I liked how she did my nails. Yesterday I had gotten a guy that I haven't seen before in the shop but I just assumed he was an extra set of hands there to help out with the New Years rush. I wanted my feet and hands done with gel polish. Before I picked a nail color for my feet ( because they started with my feet first) I showed the guy what I wanted done on my nails so hopefully I could find one of the colors in the pattern I wanted. He told me just to pick a color I thought would be similar which was okay. Once he started doing my feet he was extremely rough and I should have spoken up but I have anxiety therefore I get nervous in social interactions. He cut all my toe nails uneven but in my head I thought it's okay nobody will see my toes anyways lol. I proceeded to get seated into getting my nails done. The guy kept asking me to show the design over and over again. He then asked Renee something and Renee looks at me and says that he doesn't know how to do any designs ( I feel like she could have recommended someone else in the salon to do my nails because it wasn't a complicated design with just three colors on the nail) again I'm shy so I said it's fine but I was really disappointed because I wouldn't have picked the nail color I did if they couldn't do the design. I was cut multiple times on the skin and he used the drill on a high setting that made my nails burn. I kept saying " oww" to him until Renee had to say something to him. Moral of the story I was disappointed. I called later on to talk to Renee about it because again I didn't wanna speak up in front of people. And I tried explaining to her the reasons why I didn't say anything and she ignored me. Then I asked if I could come in possibly and get it fixed and she said yes in 2 weeks but you will be charged. It's sad to see that she doesn't value her loyal customers. She's actually a cool lady so I was surprised when she said that considering I've been going for a couple years. I have gone to this business throughout the last 13 years. it has changed ownership once before I found out it recently changed again. Today was by far the best service I have received. Karolin who did my pedicure gave the best foot massage I have ever had and she even placed a warm towel on the shins during the end without me telling her I was cold. The prices are very affordable. Similar to the previous: I went in with a GroupOn. Did the Shellac Manicure. It's nice enough. Location is pretty close to the Mall of America (5.2m or less) and in the heart of a shopping plaza down from the High School. Their patrons seemed to be loyal and I noticed when they know you they will cater to you. My nail design or paraffin dip was included but the manicurist didn't seem to know this. It's okay - the counter lady talked to her (in their native tongue) and then I guess she didn't know how to do the template design so the counter lady came over to handle it. I don't normally wear color on my finger nails but tried something new. Lots of choices for shellac gel but I went with red. As for the design: The lad y started and when I noticed she used silver - I asked for Gold. SHE SAID, "NO." I'm laughing now but Lord help me. I don't wear silver nor do I have anything against it but I'd like to get (1) what I want and (2) I'd like to coordinate my outfits for work. At any rate, we wrapped up. Tipped my lady and she genuinely seemed SHOCKED! So, I don't know if Groupon'ers aren't tipping or black folks just ain't tipping but I have to doubt both. Ladies that I know that wear acrylics always seem to have $$ for nail work and tips. I could care less for designs and etc. etc. I just want my cuticles taken care of. BTW: Place is clean enough. If I could give them a zero in their rating I would it was horrible service I was there for over 40 minutes my pedicure look like shit they refused to fix it in a timely manner and then force me to pay the entire amount I walked out with smudged toenails and was told I was rude I will never go to this place again and I would never recommend it to anyone read more

I just can't get over how cute my nails turn out here. Today I got dip on my natural nails, Truyen (Traci, I believe) did a great job. Renee is the manager, she's super personable (and does a great job, too). They're also always honest about whether they can take you or not, no false promises which is huge imo. Renee was very rude as I had mentioned the service I was getting is not how their empolyees use to do French nails. They did one coat and that is it, they use to do 3 coats previously as I have had my nails done on a regular basis prior. I got a mani pedi done here and I am very disappointed by the turnout. The polish bubbled when it dried (see pics) on my nails and toenails. It was supposed to be a flat dark purple color. The lady who did my nails said it was normal and because I was in a time crunch I had to leave. Now I have terrible looking nails and when I called to see if they could re-do the polish, they told me that they don't do that. I was willing to work with them. Dont come here! I asked for some roses on my nails the nail tech renee put a dumb sticker on them. I wanted my nails done for an event then the ombre was horrible even while i was getting them done i asked why are they so pink paid $60 for nails and design all she did was put stickers umm okay?? Purchased a Groupon for a luxury pedicure from Style Nails at half off the normal price. My pediure lasted 43 minutes and was very average. I wasn't the worst I've ever gotten, but it certainly wasn't what I would consider "luxury". My Groupon purchase also allowed an "optional nail design" which was never offered. The gal hurried through my pedicure and commented that they were too busy. Because I didn't pay the full price of their luxury pedicure, my experience was fine. DO NOT GO HERE. Rude as hell workers, especially one lady. I came in to get a nail fill and i got in right away, however I had gel polish on my nails so she removed it with a drill. Pretty typical and i've never been charged extra for that. When it got to the end my total was more than i was told. I asked why and she said "3 dollars extra for gel polish removal" and I said well you didn't tell me that so i'm not paying it. I had the most annoying experience. They ripped me off without giving me any information about the price and The woman who took care of my nails got some attitude problem. I wonder who all of these reviewers saw and had great experience with. Cuz the lady who took care of me clearly ruined my day.I only visited this place to take out my acrylic nails and I asked her for the glue off liquid since she just used force to take out my fake nails. I asked for nail hardener at the end and they put clear nails. And charged me for extra $14. They didn't mentioned anything about the price or any information that there will be extra charge.
