I left the salon very unhappy. I showed Amy a reference photo, to keep my hair long with layers, she took ONE hour to cut my hair! I've never sat in a chair for that long. Mind you, it was just a cut. No shampoo wash or styling after. While she was cutting, she asked me to stand up 3 times and she was using a straighter even tho my hair is naturally straight so I I was confused. She just kept going after she told me to stand up the first time. I don't see any layers, any texture to my hair. I found this place from a great review of Danny on TikTok. My longtime hairstylist retired and I haven't found my go to yet. I just needed a toner for my highlights that had become a bit brassy and a haircut - and he did a great job! I'm not a fan of constant chit chatting throughout a hair appt so I appreciated Danny's calm, quiet, and efficient work style. I was in and out in just about an hour and 15 min. Came into Style Salon seeking a cut and color. I brought in a reference photo and showed it to Danny and let him know I really wanted a dark root and for the blonde to melt into the ends of the hair, he agreed and I also told him for the cut I want it layered similar to the photo. He said he was going to bring some pieces to the top and I assumed he meant in the front so I said okay. Through out the foiling process he kept speaking with the other hair dresser in their language and it seemed like she was guiding him through it which made me uneasy. Also, he grabs a brush from his drawer, pulls hairs out of it and then proceeded to brush my hair... EW!!! After washing out the bleach and dye I instantly knew this is not what I wanted. I told him how I was unhappy with how highlighted it looked and how it was brought up all the way to the root which I didn't want and there's no darkness to the roots. Immediately the other hairdresser switches with him and begins to do a smudge root. She then takes me to the bowl, washes out the root, tells me she's going to do a deep condition and leaves me there for 25 minutes. Danny then takes me back to the chair, cuts and blow dried my hair. He left my roots wet and the whole back of my shirt was soaked. It was so uncomfortable and so sad to walk out of that salon with a head of hair I'm not proud to wear. I explained to him how I was unhappy with my hair and how it looked NOTHING like the inspiration photo & all he said was he thought he could do it. One time she was worried about her son and she was in the middle of doing my hair. I said she could leave and do it some other time. I misunderstood the text she sent to me regarding the schedule. Danny is the best for haircuts! I've tried so many other places and I often walk away disappointed. I have long, layered hair and he cuts it nicely every time. I literally will wait until he's available or else I'm not getting it cut at all. He takes his time and clearly cares about the quality of his work and perfection. He has never once cut it too short and periodically checks in to make sure I'm liking how it looks. My sister gets her hair cut by him also and she too loves his work. I found this salon on Groupon and decided to get my hair done for my birthday, and I left extremely disappointed and had to go straight to a beauty supply store to re dye my hair. Vicky was the one who did my hair. I specifically told her I don't want it bright and that that was my fear and it came true. She even showed me pictures of her own how it would turn out and it was NOTHING like it. She was a nice lady but really ruined my hair. I told her in detail how I wanted it and it didn't come out nearly as close to the pictures. I have been going to Style for years now. They do a great job and they are so accommodating when you desperately need a cut/color. Used to go to the same location when it was the OK Salon. Back in those days it was about half guys haircuts, kids, etc. Due to inertia, I guess, I tried to go back there. Went back once "Mary" gave me a great haircut. Tried to go back again called last weekend, nothing. Called yesterday, a Friday, and asked if they could see me on Saturday they said come in at 11:30. Blew half of my morning to wait around and get ready went in at 11:30 and they acted like they had never heard of any such thing, acted like I was invisible. I've been wanting to cut my hair and my daughter's hair for some time and had been looking for an inexpensive salon that would give me a great cut. I have curly hair and my daughter has straight hair. I contemplated on a long a line bob due to the texture of my hair. After reading the reviews I decided to give this place a try. I walked in on a Thursday afternoon a little before 1230. There was a couple regulars getting cuts and the atmosphere was so fun. I immediately felt at ease when I walked in. I was told I'd have about a 15 minute wait but within 5 minutes they had both my daughter and I in the chairs. I explained my daughters cut and then told them I wanted to cut mine a line and she immediately knew what I was talking about. She explained what she was gonna do based on the layers I had already in my hair and chopped away. I am in love with my new cut and my daughters was amazing as well. Not to mention the price! This review is way overdue, about 6 months overdue. I was initially going to buy a Groupon for this salon and was very hesitant because, well, HELLO, it's my hair! But, after speaking with Susan over the phone and reading a few of the reviews, AND seeing the pictures, I took a chance. Susan immediately told me over the phone that I didn't need the Groupon b/c she honors the price in store and this is the price she will always charge me as long as I come to her (Awesome!). From the get-go, she was very friendly, very personable and gave me her honest opinion when it came to picking my hair color. Now, I am an EXTREMELY picky person when it comes to my haircut. My own sister is a hairdresser and after she failed one time cutting my hair, never again. But, Susan listened to exactly what I said, didn't cut too much, which usually happens b/c I have long hair and it came it perfect! I couldn't have been more happy. This is the second time Vicky has given me a cut, color and highlights in one sitting. Unfortunately, the cut was not as precise as her last cut. I get it, sometimes we have off days. I was happy with the color and highlights, but not completely satisfied with the cut when I got home. I tried to work with it the day after but, it needed to be blended more so I called to ask if she could clean it up. She got me in with in the hour! I really liked this salon throughout my appointment, but it was the end that killed it for me unfortunately. I initially came here because of a Groupon that offered a shampoo, cut, and style for $21 which is a steal. However at the end of the appointment I went to pay to give them the tip, and she got irritated that I had a Groupon, and said I should have told her, why? How should that effect a cut, maybe how good of a job you do? Shady. She applied a gloss to my hair after the blow dry, and maybe 10 minutes after the application my scalp started burning! NEVER COMING HERE AGAIN! I purchased a groupon for all over color, cut and style (worst purchase EVER!) and called to book an appointment. They have a designated stylist they have assigned for Groupon, Asian dude. I wanted a long bob for the summer even showed him a picture! He ruined my hair! I met Vicki through a Groupon for $41. She said "You no worry, I always give you Groupon price". Then it went up to $65 when she saw my car. My last trip, she raised the price to $95 when she saw that I had a new car. She said the boss told her to do that because they got some new paint and chairs, although you can still see the cockroaches in the ceiling lights.
