It's been a while since I've been to this location, but I did always like their subs. I can't speak much about their ambiance how it was to sit down and eat because I always got my subs to go. A lot of people complain about their food, but I'm not sure why because all my experiences were great. I never experienced staff that were bad... I'd say perhaps I just hit them on good days but I went so many times and didn't have a bad experience, I'm not exactly sure what the complainers were going on about. My grilled chicken sandwich was very good. However, my husband had a grilled chicken salad. There were four squares of chicken and some cheese. He asked for no tomatoes. This location supposed to close at 8pm. Despite 8pm being posted online and on their door, they stop serving before 8pm. I have gone there several times with the doors open and open sign on only to be told that they are closed. When I asked the staff what time they close, they said 8pm. I told them it's not 8pm. The food here is absolutely delicious, I am completely 100% focused on the food in this location, they have always had a amazin, Food, and the atmosphere has always been fantastic It's more of an opportunity just to sit down and chill and relax get a quick order and enjoy every moment of the food that you take. Good sandwich. I was hesitant based on appearance from outside, in an old unassuming strip center. Sanitation was 97. Super cheap subs... Had the Italian for under $5 (small size). Workers were all friendly and attentive. Clean interior. I would be back if ever on that side of town. read more

Although this place doesn't look like much their subs and salads are really good. I've always had great customer service here and like subway you tell them what you want as they are making it fresh in front of you. It can get really busy at times but they seem to work pretty fast and efficiently. The salads are big enough for two people (or two meals) and reasonably priced. read more

First time ever at this place including location l. To find a NY style shop in the south was awesome. I looked at the pictures and lots of meat, and I saw the prices and figured I would give it a try. Walking up to the place it's nothing pretty but it's clean ! Walking in, looks clean and smells clean. Everyone is extremely friendly and treats you like a regular. Service is fast, and I got the daily special for 5.39 which is a half sub, chips and drink and a side pickle. Where else do you find deals like that these days ? Especially in Charlotte they price gauge the heck out of people for food that is supposed to be cheap. The sandwhich was a good size, plenty of meat. Veggies are fresh, I'll admit she was a bit heavy on the mayo and mustard( probably a southern thing lol) but no complaints. It was a delicious sub and tasted fresh. We decided to try sub station on Monday, weren't quite ready to cook at home. Unfortunately what we found was a restaurant in total disarray. In order to try to meet the social distancing rules they were rerouting customers all around the store. Don't get me wrong, I have been a customer since they opened and plan to be for the distant future, but they need to rework their thought process especially when they are really busy. Because they were busy, they were running around and halfway putting sandwiches together. I ordered a 19 all the way and there were several items missing from my sandwich. Placed an order over the phone, when I receive my sandwich it was not correct. My flatbread sandwich had not been grilled like I asked or the onions had not been grilled well done like I asked. I was told the only way they could help me was if I bring my sandwich back. I explained to her that I was on my lunch break so I could not bring it back and I was told there was nothing they could do. I purchased substation often and so does my family, I was very disappointed. I will not be returning to a place that has no regard for the inconvenience they put the customer in when they mess up! Not your average sub place! Sometimes I come for the food and sometimes I come for the guest service! Every single time we eat here the food is fresh and delicious. Sub Station II in Gastonia, NC is well worth stopping by if you're in the mood for a fresh sub, be it hot or cold. But if you don't want a sub, you can always get a delicious sandwich such as their Pastrami on rye (or on an onion roll), or their traditional Reuben w/swiss and sauerkraut, etc. The menu is quite large but, thankfully, is posted online. This makes it convenient for me to pull the menu up ahead of time so I'm not taking a half hour in trying to figure out what I want to eat once we get down there. (I already spent that time in front of my computer. Lol.) The meat and cheese are cut only after your order has been taken. This way, the flavors stay strong, and nothing dries out while sitting in a refrigerated case.. Plus, the lettuce, tomatoes, and onions are always fresh...ripe...and delicious! While I'm not crazy about oil, vinegar, and oregano on my subs/sandwiches, it's available for all of you who absolutely love those things. :) Oh...and let's not forget the mayo, salt & pepper, and those wonderful jalapenos! THOSE items ALWAYS have a place on my subs! Lol, Almost forgot: with each sub we've ordered so far, we have always received 3 good-size dill pickle spears that taste HOMEMADE. Now, I doubt they are homemade but they sure TASTE like it...VERY enjoyable! Great sub. We got it catered at our commercial shoot yesterday and I was blown away by the flavors. Soft and chewy bread with a nice helping of meats, veggies and cheese. This is a good clean sub shop. The people are friendly and will fix your sub anyway you want it. The ingredients are a much higher quality than Subway. My only complaint is that they use chopped onions instead of sliced onions. Chopped onions belong on a Hot dog, not a sub sandwich. read more
