I brought my Subaru to Subaru Clinic (New Way Auto Solutions) for a full brake replacement before a long road trip. About 4,100 miles later, another shop discovered that both front brake calipers were not secured with bolts and had separated from the vehicle. The technician told us we were "lucky to be alive." Without the calipers mounted, the car cannot stop correctly, and a loose caliper can fall into the wheel and cause an immediate lock‑up and catastrophic accident. Zak at Subaru Clinic admitted the bolts had been installed but never tightened and fell out -- a major safety failure. Despite acknowledging this negligence, they refused to refund the defective work and also refused to provide their liability insurance information. I later learned this business is not listed with the Better Business Bureau. I'm sharing this so others understand both the safety issue and the shop's response. A brake job should never leave a vehicle in a life‑threatening condition, and a shop should stand behind its work when something this serious happens. read more

I'm a DIY mechanic and usually do my own work, but when my 2010 Legacy started showing the ABS/Brake warning light, my consumer grade scan tool was unable to give me any information. I called Alex at Subaru Clinic to get a quote for a diagnosis. Alex said he would scan the car free of charge and we arranged a time to meet. Not only was Alex able to get the error codes, but in just a few minutes, he was able to clear/reset them and correct the issue. Alex was knowledgeable, professional and courteous, and it's obvious to me that these guys are the real deal. In this case, I believe the faults were originally caused by a corroded battery connection, which I have since fixed, but in any case, I can't overstate the value of honorable mechanics like Alex. I noticed I was leaking oil but couldn't figure out from where it was dripping from so I took it in. It took about 35 minutes for the guys to find out what it was and let me know. Ended up being bad oil cooler gaskets. They also fixed the ball joints in the front end and also two belts, the AC belt and the alternator belt. All for a killer price. They're super friendly and awesome here. However a week later my Forester started smoking again and I took it in. Super friendly again. They were actually concerned about it, not like some mechanics who just don't care. They took it in on the spot and lifted it up. Can't find the exact spot where it's leaking from but they believe it could be the valve cover. I could either pay to have it done, or keep checking the oil and go with the flow because the leak wasn't nearly as bad as it was before. Meaning that it was the oil cooler gaskets to some extent but also the valve cover gasket. The service here is super, and the prices are excellent too. I'll be back to get more done to the car that I can't do myself. read more

I show up they tell me that they're going to get me handled I come back to find that they don't do alignments and the general inspection which conveniently they forgot to mention they don't have a hybrid checking system's so not even a full inspection was charged $70 for an inspection where absolutely nothing was done. When I brought the car in Dennis worked with me and was super nice. He called about 30 minutes later and told me how long the repair would take and how much it would cost. When I came back to pick up my Suburu the repair was completed and the price was exactly as discussed. There was no pushiness and I never felt like anyone was trying to take advantage. My clutch went out, they got me in immediately and back on the road the next day & explained everything to me very well. A few weeks later I experienced another issue with the clutch. I brought it back in. They went over the possible issues with me first. After diagnosing it, they informed me that something failed from the repair. Edit: finally took my car in to get the noise fixed, and the diagnostic was incorrect and would have cost a ton of money. Thankfully I went somewhere and got a second opinion. Cost me $21 to get it fixed, vs $800. Took my car in for a diagnostic, and have never appreciated a mechanic so much. Oleg listened and took a look at the car to let me know what the grinding was, and then explained exactly what was wrong. Does anyone know how to get a hold of anyone that works at this garage? I we gut ro pick up my cat twice during business hours and it's closed. They have my house keys also. My bill is paid but they say my head gasket needs to be replaced. I just want to move my car until I decide what to do. No answer when I call, no return calls from all my messages I left. No return emails I sent. The police went over there too. They said no answer. If you ever need a reliable car shop, this is the place to go! My husband and I have been bringing our cars here for repairs several times and each time they have done a phenomenal job! We've taken our cars to other shops to do alignments and brakes and for whatever reason, the car always drives funny afterwards. My 2006 WRX was coming up on its 60,000 mile maintenance and being new to the Denver area, I was looking for a good shop. I love my car and am very particular about who does the maintenance. Being so, I was going to take it to a dealership. Once I started researching, I found the Subaru Clinic. It is close to where I work, so I figured I might as well check it out. Driving up, I was somewhat skeptical. It is in an odd corner of an office park near Commerce City. This feeling went away as soon as I pulled up to the garage door. Just inside, there is a table set up with lemonade and cookies with a sign that reads "Toady we will wash your car because WE LOVE YOU"! I thought that was a nice touch. As soon as I got out of my car, the shop owner, Oleg, greeted me with a big smile an a handshake. We stepped inside to talk about what I was needing and he was very straight-forward with everything that he would be doing. I asked about his past work and came to find out that he had previously worked for a nerby Subaru dealership, which gave me confidence that he knew Subarus and would be the right man for the job. He also told me that he has his children help out with things around the shop and washing cars and that his wife works the front desk, so it is the epitome of a family business. I would MUCH rather give my business to a small family operation than one of the large dealerships. Once Oleg researched what all would be needed, he called me to let me know EXACTLY what the cost would be for parts and labor. Everything sounded great (his cost was about 1/2 of what the dealership would charge!) and he was able to get me on his schedule the next day. I told him what my schedule was like and he assured me that he would have everything finished by the time I was off work. As promised, everything was finished by 5:00! When I arrived to pick the car up, it was sitting just outside the door and was in the process of being meticulously cleaned by Anna (Oleg's wife) and their children. I stepped inside the office and Oleg gave me a run-down of what all he did, let me know of a couple things to expect in the near future, and sent me on my way. Everything is running great and I couldn't be happier with the service that I received. I have already scheduled my next appointment for some brake work! Subaru Clinic is a great shop that is run by an incredibly kind family. Oleg does great work for extremely reasonable prices and I would recommend his work to anyone. Even if you have to go out of your way to get there, it is worth it. Us Subaru owners love our cars and you can definitely feel the same love when you walk into the shop. read more

Since my last mechanic moved out of state, I've been looking for a new shop to take my Forester to. And i think i found it. I recently fixed a oil leak with my car, but it was still smoking and i didn't have time to look for another leak so i brought it to Olag. He cleaned the engine and confirmed that everything was fine, also didn't charge me a dime. They helped me out and gave me a great deal for 20 bucks. They work with you and don't try to over price you on anything. They did some diagnostics on it and discovered some issues. In my 25 years of driving cars have I ever met nicer mechanics? I have not. I brought in my ancient Subaru Outback for a diagnostic check and the mechanic explained to me exactly what needed work and was very up front about how much work he would recommend putting into such an old vehicle. Although I know the needed repairs exceed the value of the car at this point, I keep it for sentimental reasons. It was very nice to be spoken with honestly about the car's condition, and I knew the mechanic wasn't just out to make a profit from me. Oleg is such a great mechanic and for someone that has continually had bad experiences with subaru mechanics in denver I feel relieved and lucky to have found him. He recently did a lot of work on my 2007 impreza. I was really nervous about all of it but he totally put me at ease. He made me feel really confident and gave me a better deal than I ever could have dreamed of. Since then there have been a few problems, but he got me in right away and foxed them within a day, all under warranty. He is a rare find. Very honest and reliable. I don't know how many good things to say about him. He really knows what he is doing with subarus! On top of everything, he washed my car and engine.
