Ended up getting the serpentine belt done and front joints on 4WD done. Recent reviews concerned me but my experience was great, they got everything done in time, and the long trip was flawless. Brad Smith and his team are great. They are knowledgeable, professional and friendly. They were able to get my Lexus in and change the timing belt, water pump, spark plugs, brakes and more in short notice. Brad didn't try to talk me into anything extra, he just made some recommendations and explained everything thoroughly as to why it was necessary and a good idea to do while it's already apart. This place does not operate in good faith. I want to start off with I did try to handle this…read moreprivately with them. I went in to speak my concern with brake work that had been done and what I was charged for. They took pictures and stated that I would hear from someone on Monday (this was early Friday). I took my 3500 truck in to have a vibration looked at. Told them to inspect the suspension and brakes. They called and told me the front rotors were warped and the rears were glazed. They recommended to replace front and rear pads/rotors. I asked if the calipers were fine, Alexis stated they were fine. This is the first time I spoke with her, I started with Philip the manager. I agreed to have them do the front and rear pads/rotors. First thing the next morning I get another call from Alexis stating that all 4 calipers need to be replaced. I asked what changed since the inspection the previous day where I was told they were fine. She stated that they were all seized. They stated an additional almost $1800 for the calipers only. I declined and stated to just put it back together and I will pick it up early afternoon. Shortly after hanging up I received another call back from Alexis. She stated she was still going to have to charge me for the front and rear pads/rotors since I authorized this the previous day and that the work had already been performed. I acknowledged and was ok with this since I did approve the work. I arrived at the shop at 1:05, early afternoon like I stated. My truck is on the lift with rear and front tires off. I go in to ask for my truck, she stated that I said early afternoon for pick up. 1:05 is early afternoon to me. I asked why there is still old rotors on the back when I was told on the phone that the front and rear pad/rotors were already replaced. Alexis told me that they took the new stuff back off and put the old back on. I inquired about the logic behind this. The manager, Philip stepped over. I said to put it back together and I will pay for the work that had been done. I ended up paying for front pads/rotors. She stated they were having a hard time getting the calipers back on the front since there is new pads. I went to Art's auto and picked up all four calipers to change them out the next morning. When I took the front calipers off, I was shocked to see the lack of work performed. On the invoice I was charged 269.98 for pads/rotors which "includes cleaning and lubrication of brake components." They put brand new pads on, did not replace the shims with the new ones, nor did they clean or lubricant the old existing. They did not clean the slide pins at all. I went in and spoke to Alexis about this. Philip was off that day. I brought the old calipers in to show this lack of work that I was charged for. When I came in, I was polite, asked to speak about my bill and a concern I have to work that was done. I asked to speak in private so the waiting room people would not hear about the kind of work that was done. I was told that I would hear back from either Philip or his boss Dan. I did not hear back from either about my concerns of doing honest, good faith work. I 100% will not trust this place to do work again, nor would I recommend anyone else use them unless it's just putting tires on. I attempted to allow them to make it right and hear my concerns, which they chose not to do either. Disappointed to say the least. I wish this would let me post the pictures of how nasty the shims and slide pins were.

My car became undrivable before their loaner was available, so I had to bring it in early. At drop-off, I spoke with Mary Jean, who agreed over the phone that I could pay the repair balance in installments since I needed to use my savings to purchase a temporary beater car. Based on that agreement, I went ahead and bought an inexpensive vehicle and waited for the repairs. Once the work was completed, the entire agreement was suddenly denied. I was then contacted by Deb, who immediately began pressuring me to either pay the full balance upfront or sell my car to them at an extremely low and unrealistic price. When I refused, she informed me they would start charging $100 per month just to keep my repaired vehicle on the lot--something never disclosed in advance. She repeatedly referenced a supposed "normal" rate of $100 per day as if it were a threat, even though none of this was part of the original conversation with Mary Jean. The behavior felt strategic and manipulative, designed to corner me into selling them my car. When I arrived with the $2,000 I had borrowed from a friend, the visible shock on Deb's face said everything--she clearly expected I'd have no choice but to give in. The entire situation made me feel like they were taking advantage of someone they assumed couldn't push back. The store manager refused to speak with me by phone and insisted on email only, adding to the frustration. Throughout the ordeal, I received dismissive remarks, including being told I "couldn't be trusted" to pay--even though their last-minute changes were the only reason the situation escalated. I genuinely cannot understand how a business operates this way and stays open. Between the shifting terms, undisclosed fees, pressure tactics, and lack of basic professionalism, this was one of the worst experiences I've had with any repair shop. I would strongly advise others to avoid Olsen's entirely.
