I had a recent appointment on…read moreThursday, July 31st and their office called to let me know they had a cancellation, and could get me in at 2:40 pm on Friday, July 25th. I showed at 2:30 in hopes they may get me in a bit early. They called me back at 3:00 to do some assessment testing, which lasted about 15 minutes. At 3:15pm took me to an exam room where I waited for an hour and 15 minutes with no communication from staff about delays or a long wait period. Never got a chance to see the doctor. I finally walked out at 4:30 with no communication to them. If they have no more respect for my time and no better appreciation for me as a patient, I'm happy to seek the services of a different Ophthalmologist. Make sure you plan plenty of additional time when visiting this clinic."

Yet, no one caught the signs and symptoms for her specific diagnosis until she went to Dr. Tran. It took me couple months to convince her to get her "annual" eye exam after at least 2-3 years of not having one. Right away, Dr. Tran suspected something concerning and referred her to more testings. Long story short and without going into too much details, because of his suggestion, we discovered several of her health issues and complications that must have happened over the past couple years. I have not had to get an eye exam since learning about my mom's issue, or else I would have started coming here. However, I have referred a friend of mine here for chemical burnt. She was seen by Dr. Khan and quickly felt better after leaving the office. They have one in the office waiting area, and right outside the office in the lobby waiting area, so there are plenty of spaces for social distancing during this Covid-19. All of the staff here are very nice and friendly as well.

The rest were a very unprofessional group of people that showed indifference while performing their jobs. I chose this provider under new vision insurance because they offered the additional Retina Screening for an additional charge. When I went for my exam I was told they didn't offer it. After checking, they said they do offer it but it's a seperate exam that has to be done at a second appointment on a different day. I never had a problem with previous providers. I should have left then! It gets worse. After my eye exam, I went to pick out frames and they had a very small, limited selection. After asking for assistance, I got my lenses picked out. Options were only explained after I asked questions. I felt like i was bothering the attendant. The glasses were due in from the lab in 10 days, but that ended up being a month. I go to pick them up and they were so bad that I couldn't see out of them. I kept saying this was not my prescription. But they checked and they were made to my prescription. Then they kept asking me if it was a bad prescription or bad location of the progressive areas. I said "I don't know, you're supposed to be the professionals." Later, In comparison, the 1st prescription from them was very different from last years prescription. I was there another hour while they tried to convince me to take them home to see if my eyes "got used to them" while I kept refusing to take them. The eye tech keep saying they could re-make them "only one time" under insurance like it was my fault. I left without the glasses. It was such a bad experience that I almost walked away and wasn't even going to go back for a refund. I had to make another eye exam appointment with a 2nd doctor which resulted in a very different prescription from the first one the 1st doctor did. The new prescription was similar with minor changes to my previous prescriptions so it was a bad eye exam and bad prescription. Then Lisa helped me with the new prescription & lense change. I felt so much more comfortable and confidant with her. She recommended a frame change from half frames to full frames because of the lense change. She took care of everything. The new prescription glasses came in 20 days later. The new glasses were fine. Luckily Lisa was there when I went to pick my glasses up. She expertly fitted the glasses for me. If I based the review on just Lisa and the 2nd doctor it would be 5 stars.

Now, it did take me some months to pick up my contacts because I travel for work. When I let them know about the issue with my contacts, they wanted my primary insurance information and stated I needed a new exam because my eyesight could have changed in 4 months. Why is that? We are told to go yearly, and I have never heard of someone's eyesight changing that drastically in 4 months. Not to mention, I can see the lettering on my monitors just fine with the glasses that I have had for two years. I did purchase the contacts, but I'm not sure I'll ever use them. I'll wait until the beginning of the year when my benefits start over and get a new exam from another place. This time I won't choose the place based on convenience. Also, it's funny with every other call, they left a voicemail to tell me my trial contacts were in and left reminder voicemails when they would call. I called today to see if my contacts were in, and they have been there since November 10th. I received no call and no voicemail.

I believe it was Dr. Jacqueline who had answered and she was completely understanding and rescheduled me for the next day (today) in a short notice. When I came in, she was very professional and personable during my entire visit. She listened to every concern, asked all of the appropriate questions, and was quick to give her professional opinion and advice.
