Yesterday I saw a tiktok and ran to Yelp for reviews, I've been thinking about these donuts all night. They were a TOTAL letdown, the verity sounds better than the actual taste. On top of that I picked a peach fritter as part of my 1/2 dozen order but was given a damn cinnamon roll instead. They tape the box up so I didn't notice it until I got all the back to my daughter's house. Let's get shall we: Reese cup: the flavor 5/5 but the dough was OFF! I like pillowy fluffy donuts, these are not that. Peach fritter: I don't know because I was given a cinnamon roll instead, plain icing: if I've had that from one spot I've had it from all! Berry fritter: Will I call this a fritter? NO!!!!! It doesn't look like one, it doesn't have the crispy on the outside and pillowy on the inside consistency like a fritter should either. The flavor was sub par (at best). My husband got an Oreo donut (he's yet to touch it sooooo and a cheese danish. I tasted it and it's lacking in flavor and AGAIN with the off dough. He also got a cold brew which is still sitting in the cup holder 3/4 full. Take that as a HARD NO! And I got the baby a plain twist, if we're going off his review than it's a 5/5 because his 2yo self ate it throughout the day. Will I return? Nope! This spot fits the bill when you're looking for a classic doughnut. They are open 24 hours but the windows/lighting can make it look like they are closed. They have a pretty comprehensive menu of doughnuts, however the one I wanted was out of stock! It sounded like they weren't delivered that day, so I'm not sure if that is a regular happening. It pains me to do this but the customer service and quality have declined the last few months. Normally this would be the go to spot but yesterday's experience was the last straw. This is the 3rd time I've gone and had donuts that were NOT soft and fresh despite them baking them daily. Then to add insult to injury, the glazed bow ties were BARELY glazed! THEN, when I told the girl behind the counter, she had an attitude. The box had chocolate icing all over which I didn't notice til I saw brown marks on my seats. They pull from the back and put the fresh ones in the front. Even after replacing the glazed, it still wasn't soft. I use to come here WEEKLY and they use to be great. Soft, moist, delicious with happy staff. IDK what happened. I need the old staff back. Came here early morning on a weekday to grab some doughnuts for my colleagues at work. These doughnuts are truly sublime! They just melt in your mouth... the flavors are pretty unique. I don't like Reese but I actually enjoyed the Reese doughnut. Some additional perks: 1. Follow social distancing and other precautions needed during the pandemic( staff wearing mask, mask compulsory for customers) 2. The store is open 24 x7! So anytime a craving hits... drop in or order online! 3. They have pre- packaged boxes for assorted dozen unless you want to handpick your dozen. I was in and out in a couple of minutes. 4. Lots of easy parking spots. Overall: I'll definitely be back to try some other varieties especially the strawberry and creme that everyone else has raves about but wasn't a part of my assorted dozen. read more

Here's the latest update for Sublime Donuts.. A BIG shout out to whoever in the store who left me a nice note on top of the box (See pic). Thank you very much! Ordered a dozen via UberEats. Still can't have the option to pick the flavor I like via the app but I was able to leave a note for the store. I did not intend to request for the flavors I like but instead requested not to have anything with peanuts & tree nuts, like the Reese's Peanut Butter. In recent times, I suspect I may have developed some form of nut or peanut allergy. The store gave me a nice selection, thank you very much! The young lady Unity was sooooo nasty! To tonight me & my sister drove down from Buford just to get donuts. We wanted to split our order and the girl helping us was sweet, she was taking our order & the other girl came over telling her how she can't spilt the order & it would be additional 1.75 for box. We was fine, but couldn't even speak without her CONSTANTLY TALKING!! Saying the same thing over & over. Moldy doughnut Ordered these on a Saturday (ate them 10 min later) and my 5 year old ate half. When I went in to take a bite I almost passed out. I didn't hear back from the manager for 48 hours (It was a weekend and I know people are understaffed right now but still) and ended up getting an email apologizing but also saying none of other doughnuts looked like that. Hands down this is the best donut place I have encountered in terms of chewy delicious dough. It's unbeatable. I liked it better than duck donuts. No other donut place had made me want it two days in a row and it's really close to me! Guys, the dough here is something that can't be compared to. Chewy, moist, delicious, instantly makes you crave more. The mvp is clearly the fresh cream and strawberries here. The cream was still cold and the strawberrries were actually juicy. Just imagine it smashing around in your mouth..(shudders) In honor of my mother I got the butterfinger, then a classic glazed. The pieces of butterfinger are generous and beautiful adding a perfect crunch to the soft dough. The donuts were too cakey for my taste. They are also over $2 a piece which seems pricey compared to other donut shops. I did like that they gave a good variety of flavors, ice cream, and coffee options. They are also open 24 hours which means you can get a donut fix any time. I got the red velvet and Oreo cookie donuts. The red velvet didn't have enough flavor and was very cakey. The Oreo donut was better of the two with a sugary filling inside. Overall they were ok. We came to Sublime Doughnuts last night after craving donuts that we hadn't had in a long time. Parking here at 9:45 PM on a Saturday night was extremely easy to find; however, if you come here during lunch or dinner times, you may have a problem finding nearby parking in the small parking lot provided for a lot of businesses in the same strip mall. When we walked in, we were the only customers in the shop. It looked like only two employees were on duty, and both of them looked they were cleaning and getting ready to close for the night even though had over an hour of business hours remaining for the day. Only the blue lights were turned on inside the store, which at first made me think that Sublime Doughnuts was closed. The flashing "OPEN" sign showed me otherwise. Both of the employees just looked at us, not saying a word, as we walked closer to the counter to get a good look at the limited numbers and types of doughnuts left in the display. The almost exclusive use of blue lights throughout the store made it a little difficult to read some of the menus. I thought one of the employees was rude, since, when we both pointed to the doughnuts and asked which each type of doughnut they were, she pointed at the doughnut in question on the laminated sheet that showed every type of doughnut that they sell. She pointed, that's it. Didn't verbally tell us what it was, just pointed. Rude, and terrible customer service! After about the fifth time we asked her the type of doughnut while pointing at the doughnut, she finally got it and stated what it was. Since it was nearing closing time, there truly weren't that many doughnuts left. I ended up getting two A Town cream and one Oreo doughnut. R ordered 3 different fritters. Each of the doughnuts was very good. The doughnuts are on the expensive side, but they're certainly a treat every once in a great while. The employees' lack of customer service skills really turned me off, though. The almost exclusive blue lighting made for very poor visibility and made the readability of the pictorial menus difficult. read more

This rating is based on the experience not the doughnuts Came for some doughnuts and encountered something that I felt was very tacky. This location had stacks of single roll toilet paper on their counter that a customer gets for "free" with the purchase of a dozen doughnuts. The average cost of a single roll of toilet paper is about $1 or so. The cost of Sublime's dozen of doughnuts is about $20 pre assorted. The products you offer are amazing and taste really good but that whole toilet paper thing is tacky and something I think should be removed from your store. read more

The doughnuts at sublime are amazing and available 24hrs. Depending on the time of night or morning you stop by the staff aren't as "awake" so the service sometimes is lacking. Don't let that stop you because the cinnamon roll doughnut and the cinnamon sugar and s'mores doughnuts leave nothing to be desired. The one issue we had was that the day we came in, there must have been a leak or some type of building issue - they had the doors propped with some big fans, and the smell was pretty bad. I love Sublime. I have been here 3 or 4 times since my first time coming and I always get different kinds of donuts. My favorite is by far the strawberries and cream. It's just so fresh and light. It's not too sweet and not too heavy, it's perfect. All the donuts are fresh here though no matter when you come. Idk how they do it, but it's true. I had an 8 pm night sugar crave and went looking for a donut shop other than DD that wouldn't have stale donuts left over from the morning. After several minutes of waiting, a young lady shuffled out from the back room and was filled with obvious attitude that she had been disturbed. I explained that I'd never been here before and was responded to with mumbles and seemed like I was being a bother. As soon as I paid she headed straight for the back room and barely said thanks or goodbye even as I tipped her, which she totally didn't earn. Now to the donuts. I ordered 3 choices along with a large coffee. The large coffee was the size of most mediums and tasted like it was from the morning. and I had to use little creamoras, no real half/half. Yeah I know boohoo first world problems. But when I go to a donut/coffee shop I expect solid quality. Now so far as the donuts were concerned, I was bummed at the lack of any "cake" donuts and only raised ones. The three that I did choose were the raised twist, the cream cheese roll and the cinnamon roll. The donuts themselves were really really good, to the point that they were more like a sweet role than a donut. Only knock anything on the quality is that they were really sweet, but hey it is the South and people down here like it REALLY sweet. Reminds me of insomnia cookies + Dunkin' Donuts. It's open 24/7, great for those tipsy nights, just like insomnia cookies. The texture, flavors, and the overall vibe of the donut are comparable to dunkin. We got: -Strawberry + cream was delicious. The cream was custard-y, which I ain't complaining about. Their best seller, and understandably so. - s'mores donut was okay... didn't really taste the chocolate, the big marshmallow in the middle was the only thing that made this donut, "s'mores-y" - Nutella donut was literally just a donut with Nutella on top. This is my go-to spot!!! They're one of the best donut spots in Atlanta and their black owned. I'm a food blogger and I found out about this location on Instagram. The unique thing about them is their donut flavors and their open 24/7. You can get overwhelmed with trying to figure out which flavor you want because it's so many delicious choices to pick. Sometimes they might run out of their flavors depending on what time of the day you go. Not every donut will cost the same depending on which one you get they range between $1.25-$4. They do have seating but at this time due to COVID-19 their not allowing their customer to sit inside and they do require you to wear a mask. You can find this location of Sublime Doughnuts at 2566 Briarcliff Rd NE, Atlanta, GA 30329 - this is the shopping center across from Loemann's Plaza at the Northwestern corner of the Briarcliff Rd and North Druid Hills Rd. There's parking out front but the negative is that the shopping center can be a bit tough to get into and out-of due to the proximity to the shopping center, etc. For instance, if you're approaching from I85 you need to head north on Briarcliff to enter the shopping center. I believe this is the nearest Sublime to my Northcrest neighborhood. As memory serves, Sublime Doughnuts was probably the first of the "gourmet" doughnut shops to enter the Atlanta market - or at least the first that I became aware of. These aren't your run-of-the-mill Krispy Kremes or Duncan's (not that there's anything wrong with them but I believe most of you have sampled what they offer). Sublime takes things up a notch by offering unusual confectionaries with some higher value ingredients. It was at the 10th St location where I had my first bacon and maple donut - it's been a downhill from there. This satellite location is a bit easier to get to by car, in my opinion, even with the wonky shopping center layout. Of the donuts, my favorite is the Orange Dreamstar but I also like the Butter Toffee and the previously mentioned Bacon and Maple (which seems to be gone from their menu for some reason). One unusual thing that Sublime does is if you want to spell out something like a Birthday or someone's name, you can call ahead (day previous) and pick up a box or boxes . It makes for a special something for your favorite donut-loving person. The service at this location is top-notch. I've popped in for a donut and/or ice cream (yes they have that too) and was quickly greeted and promptly served. Note that later in the day the selection (from about 30 specialty donuts) starts to diminish, as you would expect. Some would argue that Revolution is better (actually I think it is - love the peach slider) but then again, if you don't live in Inman Park it can be a bit tough to get to - plus you have to deal with parking. For convenience this location of Sublime is much, much easier. read more
