Upon ordering, my wife asked for fresh fries. The price for a meal is over $15. When the fresh fries were up, the Asian kid with the mask on blocked my wife's view of what he was doing. She moved her position so she could see, his back was turned. She saw him fill the container with the old fries and put a few new ones in top. At that point she told him to just keep his old, cold fries. No apology from the deceitful employee making $20/hr...... We are local and will never go back. We will go up the street to Mountain Oak for a real burger and honest, friendly staff. read more

It took over 20 minutes to get our food, waiting in the drive-through line (2nd car). The burgers were definitely not Carl's Jr. quality . The patties were hard and dry. Carl's Jr, Oakhurst: 2021 Sep 10 It's quite rare that we eat 'fast food', but we have been busy - so we decided to try the local Carl's Jr. I, for one, have never had CJ before - so I was excited to try something new. Philly Cheesesteak: A cheesesteak is a sandwich made from thinly sliced pieces of beefsteak and melted cheese in a long hoagie roll. Its roots came from the US city of Philadelphia - hence, Philly Cheesesteak. According to a 1987 exhibition catalog published by the Historical Society of Philadelphia, the cheesesteak was developed in the early 20th century "by combining beef, onions, and cheese in a small loaf of bread". Slices of cheese are placed over the meat, letting it melt, then the roll is placed on top of the cheese. The mixture is then scooped up with a spatula and pressed into the roll, which is then cut in half - and sautéed onions, ketchup, hot sauce, salt and black pepper completes the sandwich roll. I enjoyed the taste but felt something was missing. For one, the sandwich didn't come in a roll - it was in a bun. The bun had a plasticky after-taste. Even so, I handed this a 4 of 5. Double Western Burger: I find the entire meal disgusting. The meat was dry and lacked seasoning. I think they 'over-broiled' the meat, the onion rings weren't crispy at all and the bacon was limp as can be. 1 of 5 Fries: The aroma of stale cooking oil hit our nose when we received the meal in the car. The fries were tasteless. 1 of 5. Strawberry Shake: I wanted Vanilla Shake - but I'm glad I changed my mind. The strawberry shake tasted like icy water with a hint of strawberry extract. Not even sure a 1 is appropriate. They messed up our order after we waited in line for over 30 minutes. Then we get into the line again to get it fixed (because the lobby was closed). I would not eat here again, My burger was oily and the cheese was not fresh, also not mention the worker laid my hamburger buns on the counter and not on a sheet or anything. He also cooked the burger in a not so industrial oven cooker as they should be doing. The worker took a couple of pieces of lettuce and threw away the parts that were either molded or yucky and tossed them aside and just put the rest on my bun. Dang. I'm surprised to read any negative reviews here. I came here multiple times during my Yosemite vacation. Drive thru only. These visits were so memorable that even as I got back home 5 hours away, I knew I had to leave a review. Jacoby, Sebastian, Bryan, thank you for taking care of us during our stay. You guys have some type of southern hospitality that I've never seen at any other drive thru. You spoke clearly, slowly, patiently, asked even if I wanted dessert. At the window you asked if I needed condiments. Handed me the food and STILL asked if there anything else that I needed. Happily gave me a cup of ice water when I sheepishly asked for one. I wish I coulda recorded you guys. On the last visit, my husband came with me and I said "watch this. These are the nicest guys I've ever seen at a drive thru." And you didn't disappoint. I have never been in a restaurant as cold as this place in my life. It was nighttime in October and I had to go outside to warm up. It was so bad I even asked an employee about it and he said they were aware but the staff preferred it that way. I was so kindly greeted at the food ordering menu board by a super kind voice, offering a breakfast burrito which is EXACTLY why I was there. When I told her I wanted one with hash browns, she reassured me any burrito could have had browns and described them since I told her the morning sun was so bright the menu was hard to read. She helped me decide and was just - kind. Polite. I felt like I was talking to a human, not a bored, annoyed, impatient employee who hates their job. Her name is Beth. It is fast food time for breakfast before heading out to Yosemite National Park. Some of the food was hot when delivered to our table. One item was warm. I can recommend the Sausage, Egg, and Biscuit. It is a served like a sandwich. It was about 4 1/2" in diameter. Be sure to check for specials. They are posted on the Menu Board and on posters on the outside windows. One of the deals on the outside window was not posted within the restaurant. It was for two Sausage, Egg, and Biscuits for $2.50. One cost about $3.50, so that is a saving of $4.50. Not bad at all. If you contribute $1 or more to veterans and their family you will receive 4 discount coupons. Please see the discount in my attached photo. All of the tables were clean. The service of the staff at this location was so lousy. The place was empty and when we walked in we were not greeted or told "let me know when you're ready." It took them forever to acknowledge us until I practically stared at them. It seems like the people up at front don't want to work. The place inside and out doesn't look the cleanest either, it looks so old its uncomfortable. Absolutely the most terrible fast food restaurant around. Charged me $18 for a fish sandwich combo, both fish and fries were burnt. Iced tea was made with city water, very rude service, had to go in twice for napkins and sauces. Took over 10 minutes to get my food. Floor and tables inside were disgusting with trash. Garbage cans were over flowing with no room. Ect, ect. This place needs the health service to come in. Oh and there are Flys over the registers. Bathroom out of toilet paper. Sinks had hair in them. Incredibly friendly staff, guys working here are so friendly and enjoy their work regardless that it is fast food. The manager greeted us immediately when we walked inside. The Young man who took our order was so kind, courteous and helpful. We also overheard him encouraging a young man who was inquiring about a job application. The employee asked his age, cited how he had been working for many years and this was the first place he actually enjoyed. This young man can clearly move on to bigger and better opportunities and hopefully will pursue other careers to expand his mind but for now he is giving his all happily. Which my husband and I appreciated very much so after being treated poorly at the Big Trees Restaurant the night prior. I pulled into the drive thru tonight and the lady on the speaker asked me to "please wait a few minutes " after about 5 minutes someone took my order. Two burger combos,two value meals and three drinks. After ordering we wait in line for 20 minutes then i pay around$45. I ask for ranch and bbq sauce and he tells me that they are out of bbq sauce and that the ranch is in the bag. My husband checked the bag and there was only two so i ask for another one. The guy tells me sorry we are low i cant give you any more. Are you kidding me i only get sauce for two of my four meals because your low not out but low after i just paid $45. I like this Carl's Jr. for the most part. Pros: Better than the other fast food chains in Oakhurst, by far. The Western Bacon cheeseburgers are bomb. Fast service if you eat inside (repeat, INSIDE.) Cool play gym for the kids and outdoor seating. Nice air conditioning. Cons: The drive-thru is usually slow. Like, really slow. A lot of the workers speak spanish so you can't always understand them in the drive-thru speaker. All the rest is just the same as most any Carls Jr. read more

Was our first time trying Carl's Jr. I ordered Charboiled BBQ chicken and Charboiled chicken club sandwich with some fries and green peach tea. I liked their french fries and green peach tea. But the chicken in both our burgers was not good. We didnt like the burgers. Anyways the place was pretty crowded and the trash can was over flooded. They were running short of staff and the lady who took our order mentioned that "We always run short of people to work because we are so busy all the time". Well I would recommend them to keep this place a bit more clean by mopping the floors/ cleaning the tables/ and replacing the trash bags. They also have a drive thru window. read more
