the interior of a subway restaurant

Started off nice with them giving me water. Then I had a fun conversation with another dog owner - she was spiritually inclined and blessed. Ordered some food with a nice lady tatted up. Then when I went to my car saw some chocolate booby traps for my puppy which I passed with flying colours. Lastly a nice Kia car pulled up next to me. Nothing but great things to say about this place!

It's a Subway sandwich inside the same building as the Westside Country Store. They are like every other Subway restaurant and offer the same items. There are a few tables to sit at. I am glad they are here vs. not and Subway provides a good break for food on the way back to Sacramento. We dropped by here because there was heavy traffic on I-5 and there is not much around for miles and miles...

Only game in town....well it seems like it. This place gets slammed on a weekend. Not sure if I would wait 20min for a footlong again. Staff does an adequate job of clearing people out but seating is a bit limited too. Your average subway sandwich. Space is shared w/ a country style mini-mart. At least the bathrooms were clean.

The only "good" place to stop for miles. Plus the shop has a mini mart connected to it, so you can stick up for the road.

Solid dependable subway. Good stopping point for a quick lunch on the road. It is also located in a cool little convenience store.

Terrible customer service. Very slow. Bathrooms closed - can't believe this is a stop along the freeway with bathrooms out of service.

Ordering was quick and easy through the self-service kiosk, and I was able to enter my rewards number without any issues. My shake was ready in about five minutes, making it a perfect quick stop before getting back on the road. The restaurant itself feels moderately updated and has a welcoming atmosphere. Inside was generally clean, although I did notice a few crumbs on some of the seats and spilled food around the top of the trash can that could have used a little attention. One of the biggest perks of this location is its convenience for EV drivers. It's located right next to a row of Rivian chargers and directly across from Tesla Superchargers, with outdoor picnic tables where you can relax while your vehicle charges. Overall, it was a good experience with friendly, efficient service and a delicious birthday treat. A little more attention to cleanliness would make this location even better, but I'd definitely consider stopping here again during future charging breaks.

There wasn't much meat inside, as they seemed to be more batter than chicken. The location is convenient since it's inside a gas station, which makes it an easy stop when you're on the go. Some of the tables were a little dirty, but it seemed like they had just gotten through a rush. The staff was somewhat friendly. Overall, it was an okay experience. I use to work in a small cafe back in the day so working in food service can be trying sometimes. I noticed they have added some menu items and Friday/Saturday dining options as well. Today they had a Monday feature of Tri-Tip Sandwich with either fries or fresh fruit. A free drink was included and I chose lemonade with cucumber and fresh mint. OMG that was delicious. They also had several flavors, strawberry-Hibiscus, strawberry, raspberry, and the cucumber mint lemonade. I chose to dine in and I received my food hot. The fries were perfect. Crispy and not greasy. I chose a hot chipotle ranch & ketchup. Yah, being a vegetarian is hard. I wasn't vegetarian today. I tore up that sandwich and left no crumbs ok maybe the butt end of the roll but that's for Buddha. While waiting I saw the advertisement for Friday night dinners & Saturday Brunch with Mimosas & Micheladas. It's just two staff so go easy on them. They off a 3% discount if you pay in cash. They also accept tap pay. Cool tunes too. Until next time. . .SYOYelp

I called about 20 minutes before we arrived and was able to skip the ordering line and go straight to the cashier. Our food was ready in less than 5 minutes. Definitely a good tip if you're stopping here. We each got a half-pound of brisket with mac and cheese for $18.99. The brisket was okay, but honestly, I expected more from Harris. I actually prefer Armadillo Willy's. Remember to ask for BBQ sauce as they don't give it to you automatically. The mac and cheese was worse than the blue box kind It tasted more like survival food. But the other sides didn't look very good either, and I need some kind of carb with my meat, so I guess you pick your poison. The biggest issue for us was the heat. It was like sitting in an oven. Even with the shade and misters going, it was still so hot that we only managed about eight bites before calling it quits. For about $20 a person, it's not a bad deal for brisket, especially from a gas station. But would I stop here again? Probably not. I just want to be able to enjoy my lunch without being slow-cooked too.

So, as you're driving down the I-5 and looking for a place to get delicious sandwiches, this is the perfect spot! And, while you're there, stock up on wide variety of handcrafted sausages, brats, beef sticks, bacon, marinated meats, dry rubs and more! We brought an insulated bag with ice packs to put them in. We grabbed some for family we were visiting in Sacramento and stopped again on our way back home to stock up. We tried the Brisket and Ribeye sandwiches. The bread got soft fast, maybe a little too soft. They were both hot sandwiches so not sure if it was from a little too much bbq sauce, juices from the meat or how it's wrapped. The brisket and ribeye were tender and juicy. I liked the Ribeye a little more since it had mushrooms, bell peppers and onion. I would have liked the bread to be more toasty since we ate the sandwiches there. But, that's my preference; I love more texture in my food. Loved the variety of sausages, brats and beef sticks that we got. The bacon was a lot thinner than we're used to. We bought lots of their dry Wolfsen's seasoning since it's one of my bf's favorites! I loved that the beef sticks that weren't too oily and very tasty. I wish we had gotten more of them! The sausages were so flavorful!! We tried them in a variety of dishes. The guy behind the counter was efficient and polite. The environment is not so good. Strong smell of kitchen / grease when you walk in because there are three restaurants in one very small area. There are no seats outside, just saying. On the day we went, it was in the 40s outside so we stayed inside. The area is part of a building that also houses a convenience store and hosts a gas station. The restrooms are in that area of the building. Large bathrooms so no waiting but just average clean. But, they did have soap and paper towels so that was helpful. If you are going south on the 5, especially at night, you have been driving for a bit without seeing much when you come across this exit. You may not know how much longer you'll be driving for the next sign of civilization. So...you stop. Overall, not that bad but not that great. There are three gas stations there and a couple other eating establishments so, stop if you need to for any of those. But, if you can hold out for another 30 to 45 minutes, I'd suggest waiting...that is, unless you are having a chili cheese craving. In that case, stop and...enjoy!

The food quality is definitely high and everything felt very fresh, though it is a bit of a "premium" experience for a sandwich shop. What We Ordered: 8-inch French Dip: My husband really enjoyed this--the bread held up great to the au jus. 6-inch Turkey and Salami: This was my choice, and the meats were high-quality and the sourdough had that perfect crunch. Kids' Ham and Cheese: Both kids finished their sandwiches with no complaints! Service was fairly fast, which is a huge plus when you're out with the family. My only real "critique" (besides the price) is the kids' meal side; it comes with applesauce, and there was no option to swap it out for chips. We spent about $67 for the four of us. It's a little pricey for a sandwich spot, but you can definitely taste the difference in the freshness of the ingredients. A really good spot if you're looking for a high-quality sub. Great bread and solid service!
