Different stars for different things here. The food, was good. 4-stars. Corn dog, chili cheese dog, fries, all good. Made the way you get them at any well run Wienerschnitzel. The guy behind the counter was efficient and polite. The environment is not so good. Strong smell of kitchen / grease when you walk in because there are three restaurants in one very small area. If I remember correctly, you can get hot dogs, pizza or Mexican food. If you don't want your clothes to smell for the rest of your trip, eat outside or in your car. There are no seats outside, just saying. On the day we went, it was in the 40s outside so we stayed inside. The area is part of a building that also houses a convenience store and hosts a gas station. The restrooms are in that area of the building. Large bathrooms so no waiting but just average clean. But, they did have soap and paper towels so that was helpful. If you are going south on the 5, especially at night, you have been driving for a bit without seeing much when you come across this exit. You may not know how much longer you'll be driving for the next sign of civilization. So...you stop. Overall, not that bad but not that great. There are three gas stations there and a couple other eating establishments so, stop if you need to for any of those. But, if you can hold out for another 30 to 45 minutes, I'd suggest waiting...that is, unless you are having a chili cheese craving. In that case, stop and...enjoy! read more

This was my first experience with Wienerschnitzel, and didn't realize it was a Wienerschnitzel Express so they didn't even have the dogs we wanted. I'm usually a fan of fast food, but these were the worst hot dogs we've ever had -- especially the chili dogs; the chili looked like diarrhea sauce. Stopped here on a road trip. It's nice that there were a few options to choose from in terms of restaurants. My kid got a corn dog and I got chili cheese fries. Wienerschnitzel chili cheese fries were a favorite of mine in middle school, so it was nostalgic. The food was okay and it hit the spot. The drink machine was broken and someone was fixing it. Black sludge shot out and got over our food containers, bags, etc. So that part wasn't great, but it probably won't happen to you. read more

these are not for the faint of heart! the chili dogs are a STANDARD! if you are bougie, get the all beef ones so you won't have any mysteries... for me the standard chili cheese dog is the best. For good ol greasy awesomeness, get a 6 pack of chili cheese dogs, a big bag of salty fries (hot enough to weld with) and a GIGANTIC dr. pepper and live a little. Corn Dogs are for the fair. I ordered mini corn dogs but didn't realize until I got back on the road that the lady who took my order didn't get my order right. When I called to let them know I received jalapeño poppers and not what I ordered the lady said no one had been to the store to order mini corn dogs that day. When reminded her of the order conversation she acknowledged I ordered the mini corn dogs then corrected to jalapeño poppers. She asked me to hold while she checked with her manager. Before placing me on hold I asked for her name to reference to which she ignored my request. When she returned she said her manager said I could either call my bank to get my money back or drive back to get the right order because they were t going to fight over $5. Keep in mind I was already 20 minutes into my drive back on highway 5, who in there right mind would want to turn around after having received such bad phone customer service. I will not eat there again and will be sure to share my experience with family and friends. read more
