It wasn't organized and could use some cleaning up, but over all it wasn't a disaster.

Not the worse. Definitely not the best. We waited for 45 mins because our server forgot about us…read more No military discount, and it was still 38 for 2 people. I got the 2 meat with fries and okra, if I would have padded it with a napkin it would have dissolved the napkin. I wanted okra not oil with a side of okra. The brisket was actually really good but the hot links were burnt to a literal crisp. My wife got the cow balls (on her forsure, idk what she was thinking) with potato salad and green beans. They were out of potato salad so we substituted it for mashed potatoes. It's a spot where if you been eating there for 20 years it's not too bad. We payed and left a tip because I felt bad for their only waiter. (This is on a busy highway) Their meat prices seem decent nonetheless for like packaged meat. The beef jerky we got was glorified pot roast. Good vibes nonetheless.

We're kinda picky. The next time came and as we were driving up we pulled off and toured this little place. There was beef jerky everywhere...and sauces and jellies and homemade fried pies and a cafe full of people. We just got one packet of their original beef jerky which turned out to be a HUGE mistake. As we drove off we dug in to what turned out to be mouth watering goodness. Super tasty. Delicious. THE perfect snack. Next time we purchased 10 packets. Another mistake it didn't last long. I placed an order for 30 packets to ship to my home and it literally arrived in a couple of days. I plan on sharing "some" with friends. They threw in a package of cured smoked beef sticks and can't wait to try them. The folks there are the nicest people! Sweet and informative. Hats off to their shipping folks as well! Trust me on this one! Best beef jerky in Texas is an understatement!

As…read moresomeone who appreciates attention to detail, I was thoroughly impressed by how pristine the entire establishment is--everything from the dining area to the restrooms is maintained to an incredibly high standard. Beyond the cleanliness, the atmosphere is warm and exceptionally welcoming. The staff is genuinely friendly, and the owners go out of their way to ensure every guest feels truly taken care of. It is rare to find a place that balances such professional upkeep with a personal, "home-away-from-home" feel. Highly recommended for anyone in the area looking for a quality experience. The food is great. The plates are small ( which is fine ) but it would have been nice to have a bit of room to cut up my food , and I'd add a second side to anything that's not a sandwich, but even with just one side ( steaks get two ) you don't leave hungry. ( extra sides are 4 a piece) The only other suggestion is a basket of homemade bread would be perfect for this establishment . It's a southern food , steaks and gravy type place. A basket of bread would make it perfect . Great place though . We would go out of our way to stop again.

I wasn't very hungry but needed some of those bull beans with sour dough bread. My husband ordered a 8oz filet and those yummy loaded mashed potatoes . I seriously should have taken some beans to go for my dad to try. We love the atmosphere and smiling faces. They were busy and rightfully so! Next time, I plan on trying those fried pork chops!!

My coworkers and I prefer to find local eateries whenever possible. For lunch one day, we searched out The Woolf Den, decided that we could all be happy with something on their extensive menu, and had a surprisingly delicious meal here. I got the French Dip sandwich, which can be risky. A lot of times French Dips are dry and boring with a side of jus to moisten it up. Here at Woolf Den the sandwich would have been divine on its own...the jus was just the icing on the cake! The sandwich was closer to a Philly cheesesteak--thinly-sliced, griddled steak, mushrooms, peppers, onions, and gooey melted cheese on a hoagie roll. The jus was flavorful. When I was done dipping my sandwich, I had half a mind to drink the remaining jus...it was that good! However, I'm a civilized human being, so I just dipped everything I could find into it...crackers, mainly. So good! I think I'll dream about that sandwich. My coworkers got the club sandwich and the Philly cheesesteak. Both really enjoyed everything they had. The women behind the counter were sweet, too. It's nice to be greeted when you walk through the door. They also offered good recommendations. I don't think you can go wrong at this place. I'd love to go back and try more of the menu, but I don't know if I'll get the chance. If you need to take food to go, all meals are served in styrofoam boxes. You can also call in orders and pick them up. This seems like a very convenient option in these parts. All in all, I'd definitely go back. I'm actually bummed that I've got to leave tomorrow and most likely won't get the chance.
