I have been in retail management for 13 years and never written a bad review, literally in my life. I have sympathy for all customer service workers and know how it is, I even understand supply shortages, covid exhaustion/ depression and all of that. Based on reading these reviews, I am not alone in my sheer shock at how I was treated at this location. The soda machine was broken and they were out of 4-5 veggies with non offer to make more, but I don't even care about that. I would have left happy even with all those factors but the service was the worst I have received, I think anywhere in my life. The girl at the counter refused to speak even when asking questions, she just stared. It was very awkward. We were asking if they were out of onions and she just stared. We had two gift cards. The scanner did not work. I kept trying and telling the cashier they didn't work and she did nothing and just stood there, so awkward. But at least she wasn't rude. The guy that came out to "fix it" was the rudest person I have ever seen in this industry. Because the total was over $10 (I had two $10 gift cards) we rudely responded it wouldn't work, and oh well. My husband asked if he could split the transaction. I kid you not, he groaned so loud and rolled his eyes and said I GUESS. It worked when split in two. He then LEGIT threw the receipt down and stormed off to the back after the transactions were through. Completely ignored us as we were saying thank you. Treated us like actual garbage. My name is Chris. Had to make this review on my wife's account (cuz I don't have one) I usually NEVER make reviews. But I have to make this one, because, I am appalled by what just happened at this subway. An older women with orangish hair came in and took a young lady into the back (leaving a young man to serve customers alone) and all you hear from there is screaming. Sounded like the older women had write ups for her and the young lady shut down (I hope she didn't force her to sign them). Well I spoke to the young lady who was taken to the back she was crying and seemed to be having a panic attack. Come to find out that young lady is a 16 year old child. Now, yes, I understand employees have consequences when they mess up, but what this women did was completely unacceptable. So I knew I seen this women from somewhere. Found out she's the manager at the subway by hobby lobby and I already HATE THAT SUBWAY LOCATION they are rude and sloppy, yea I said it, SLOPPY. I found out that women's name is Taylor while speaking to the the young lady who's name is Vanessa. She is a sweet girl. I really hope there is consequences for the Taylor lady with the orange hair, because that was unbelievably unprofessional. I forgot the original managers name for this subway but he is an amazing soul and the employees here are great and the food is always good! But I hope that women gets fired or something because a child does not deserve to be embarrassed and belittled like that in front of employees and CUSTOMERS of all people! What a nice way to embarrass yourself TAYLOR I hope you get what you deserve. That poor Vanessa girl was drowning in tears. Hopefully the actual manager is there tomorrow so I can come back and make a good review for him just need his name. I will be checking in on the situation as well. I love going to this Subway, it's right next to my Dorm and the workers are usually really nice! My favorites are Faith and Sip, their really funny and are always friendly! I'm giving a four star because those two are great and so are a few others but the one thing that concerns me is one of the workers. I didn't catch her name but she was working with Faith today when I was grabbing a sandwich around 12. She was alright to me but I noticed she made some borderline racist comments towards Faith and it was really uncomfortable. I would give a 4 star because again, usually really friendly people and good food, but she made me uncomfortable especially with how open she was about making those comments when she thought I couldn't hear her. read more

Really poor service. On multiple occasions, the workers will see me and not speak. They'll finish their conversations before they even acknowledge me. On one occasion it took the worker 30 minutes to build my sandwich because she would not stop getting side tracked with her inappropriate conversation. Today, I decided to order online and the same worker took 25 minutes to hand me my togo order which was behind her the entire time. She would not stop her conversation. This was my first time visiting this location and would be my last. To begin with my friends asked for a 6inch cheese and herbs chicken teriyaki. The worker then placed bare chicken on the bread then squirted the teriyaki sauce at the top, she then stuffed it with an amplified amount of toppings, making her sandwich very messy. I asked for a 6inch also, but the issue with mine is that she cut it to short giving me more of a 5 inch. The workers were very nice just not the quality of the food. read more

The only reason this wasn't a 1 star review was because my sandwich tasted good. It was hotter than hell inside for some inexplicable reason. It was 82 outside. The A/C unit on the wall indicated the A/C was on, set to 77, but it was 85 inside!!! The soft drink dispenser didnt work, but they offered a bottled drink or tea. I chose poorly with the tea. It did not taste great. When they made my sandwich I saw that all the tomatoes looked so over-ripe that they were soggy and couldn't stand on their sides without sagging. It was not appealing so I skipped that. Service was mediocre; not bad but not great, just a couple of kids going through the motions to make a paycheck it seemed. One of the other reviewers nailed it about this place: it's ALL about the location. Sam Houston State University campus behind it and a campus dorm right across the street. read more

I visited this location on Black Friday (unfortunately this was the one restaurant that was still open). I decided to order the foot long meatball marinara sandwich on the hearty Italian. The meatballs were very lukewarm and not even cooked properly. About an hour after eating l had severe food poisoning and threw up. It is six in the morning and my stomach is still not well. How about instead of hiding in the back all the time you check the proper temperatures on the food. I will be contacting your manager about this issue. HIGHLY DISSAPPOINTED read more

I'd give this place 5 stars cuz I usually love the employees here and the service, but today was sad. This women came in yelling at a little girl who works there. The girl said it was a manager named Taylor from another store. Umm it was seriously sad and unprofessional. Someone needs to stick up for that baby and it'll be me if no one else will. I heard the girl talking to another man it was so sad cuz she was crying so hard you could barely understand her. I also heard this place was bought out by a new owner and if this is how they let they're management speak to employees then they should seriously reconsider their profession. Really looking forward to that chick Taylor being fired cuz I almost cried when the girl was making sandwiches and crying. There was a roach crawling on the floor after I paid for my food. I asked for a refund and the supervisor got angered and tried to belittle me. He tried to educate me on what a roach was and looked like. This place makes money because it's right across from a residence hall. read more
