Ignore all those bad, OLD reviews! November 2024. This location has been completely updated since last here about a year ago. It was good then, even better now. New management, I think, as well. Prep area and entire shop is clean. Veggies fresh. Sandwich as you'd expect from Subway and made as I requested. We live in Orland but happily drive a 20 mile round trip to buy from the Corning Subway at the Solano cross street. We've given the Orland shop several chances but it's either very rude service and/or sub par sandwiches. read more

Asked employee about the posted promo on the outside window...clueless and provided wrong sandwich. Couldn't figure out what it was so I started to order the daily special wich they also got wrong and I had to correct when I finally discovered the promo items on the menu so I changed my mind after looking at the menu, the employees left and not one employee was present as I waited...so I walked out and went somewhere else for lunch. I totally get the low ratings here. My mom lives in Orland and we got sandwiches one day for lunch. I sent my Grandpa to get our sandwiches and while the order was correct, I unwrapped a hard, dry and burnt sandwich when he got home. He's too old to notice these things. I paid over 14 bucks for this mess and as much as I didn't want to, I had to drive all the way back to the store to get the sandwich made right. When I told them I wanted the sandwich remade because it was burnt, they literally acted they could care less, didn't even apolize or show any concern, whatsoever. The manager was there and helped to remake the sandwich and didn't acknowledge the error, actually she purposefully ignored it, which is worse. In my opinion they should have at least acknowledged and apologized for the error or gave me a cookie for the trouble. Rightfully, they shoud've given me a refund since it was their ridiculous mistake. Nothing. They do not care about the customer. I also tried calling my order in four times at 11:50 and nobody answered the phone, this place is a joke. read more

I'm very surprised this place is still running. My friend had the rudest employee there and to top it off she over charged her for her meal. On top of that her son got an applesauce that was expired. It had the expiration date of 2011! When she asked the employee to speak to the manager she insisted she was the manager. When asked for the manager above her the lady gave her an attitude and told my friend to call if she needs to speak to her. When asked for the corporate number the assistant manager said she couldn't give her the number. This place needs to be regulated and inspected. read more

Employee dropped the knife on the floor, then picked it up and cut my bread! Thankfully, my husband saw it and told her to get a new knife and bread. When I spoke to the mgr, she really didn't care. No apology or anything said about talling with the employee, etc. Calling the health dept. tomorrow. And she put the cut bread back in the container. Ick!! Definitely not a place to go to if you're looking for a smile from those working. What's bad is the fact the one person doing the veggies is the reason for the two star. The first person and last person helping were cordial and for that I would've gone with close to 4 stars. But damn, the veggie woman was beyond rude, not just to me but her fellow workers as well. Stopped by this Subway on the way through town, Dec 28 at around 2pm. We dropped in for a sandwich and a salad and the service was excellent. The employee was super accommodating and willing to go above and beyond to take care of our needs - not to mention friendly and funny. read more
