We split side orders of rice and beans, and glad we did, because the portions were too much for one person. The dining room is not fancy, but clean, casual, and comfortable. When I finally mentioned it, I was told that their "Diet Coke" was Dr Pepper, which didn't make any sense since Dr Pepper and Diet Coke are completely different soft drinks. The burger was nice sized and cooked well done, which I like. It came with cheese, lots of pickles, relish, lots of mustard, and just a little ketchup. The hot ham and cheese was okay. I chose white bread rather than rye or wheat. The bread was not special--seemed like white bread you'd buy at any grocery in a plastic wrapper. There's an up-charge for the onion rings. I say skip that and get the fries. For the 2 sandwiches, 1 with fries, one with onion rings, and 2 pieces of pie, my bill was $51.36 before any tip added on. I get that it's a short season up north here, so I expect everything to be a little pricey. If the burger had a bit of char and came on an upscale bun, if the hot ham and cheese came on a thicker toasted bread, I'd say ok. But for what we got, it was overpriced.
