The sauce was spot on: incredibly rich, creamy, and exactly what you want from a vodka sauce. The pasta was perfectly al dente, and the chicken portion was massive (honestly unheard of these days). That meatball was the real sleeper hit, though--tender, well-seasoned, and a great size. I added some of my own herbs and broccoli, but truthfully, the flavor was already there. The only minor miss was the garlic bread; it was a bit heavy on the cheese for me, but two minutes in the air fryer brought it right back to life. If that's the only "complaint" I have, I'm a happy customer. Definitely ordering again and maybe from inside the restaurant next time!

I placed a pickup order for a pizza, wings, and salad, but the quality just wasn't there. The pizza was the biggest letdown--the crust was undercooked and chewy, and the overall flavor was very bland. To make matters worse, the pizza is definitely on the pricier side and just not worth the cost. The wings also missed the mark; they tasted burnt. Additionally, the dipping sauce was packed in a plastic container that had actually melted. Because of this, the sauce was all over the container and the rest of the food. I'm all for supporting local spots, but between the high price and the poor food quality, I won't be ordering from here again. Nice location and dining area.

There are a number of sandwich shop chains, including those with local ties, so the market has plenty of competition. Jersey Mike's brings an Italian flair, so think things like hot peppers and hot relish. The standard dress is onions/lettuce/tomato, add in seasonings and maybe a splash of vinegar & oil. Seems pretty simple, no? Your protein options come both hot and cold with fan favorites, like turkey or roast beef, or Italian favorites like capicola and other spiced meats. I do love a good Italian sub, and set me up with plenty of peppers and hot relish, because I need that sandwich to stand out. The service is always quick and first rate. Food places such as this have adapted their model to allow for online ordering & delivery services, and Jersey Mike's is no different. You can walk in and order straight off the menu or you can order online using the app or service. Either way, you're going to get a fresh lunch packed with flavor at a great value. If you stay in at this location, then know that seating isn't exactly spacious, since most of the business model is designed on to-go ordering. I give it five stars, not because it's Michelin-level food, but because it meets all of my expectations and has not let me down once. Great spot!

I figured I would go and get lunch here considering I really loved my lunch the other day. It really does feel like a cafe inside of Adrian's and with it being like 45 degree randomly today, it was so comfortable, cozy, and felt very neighborhood oriented. While I had been disappointed at first by the service on the phone, I recognize that they had someone training and it's hard to balance all of the orders they get! The owner actually called me back when I hung up after being on hold for a sec, which is absolutely going the extra mile. I was already on my way and going to place that order but gosh he was so awesome! Rare anymore these days that anyone lets you try anything before you get to buy it and the owner let me try their chicken salad (since I was skeptical) and they had run out of chicken breast for the day. I really try to stick to mainly eating chicken, but the owner convinced me to try some of their bacon on top of it and it is one of the best sandwiches I can say I've had. Absolutely will be a regular at this location. Everything is delicious. Everything is fresh. You won't believe that you can get quality like this at a corporate restaurant, but you CAN

We went in for lunch, but you need to know that **there's only one hot menu item served per day on a rotating schedule.** so as we would say to our kids... "You get what you get and you don't throw a fit!" HAHA. But you won't want to cry, because the dish we tried was absolutely delicious! Also, they have a very robust pastry case - some savory and some sweet. Not to mention their extensive grocery options! Spices, baking mixes, frozen foods, Brazilian condiments, cosmetics, even a small produce section and loads of cases of Guaraná!! (the classic Brazilian soda, a cross between apple and ginger ale IMO.) Just for context, our main dish was $15 and the delicious hamburger was $7. Check Geo's out! The man at the café was friendly, helpful and kind!

Since I do not live in Kansas City, my boyfriend drove about 3 hours the day before so I could attend the interview. In addition, I had to miss a day of work at my university job, which caused me to lose a day's worth of pay. However, when I arrived at the location, the owner simply did not show up for the interview. He also did not respond to my messages or even had the consideration to apologize for what happened. I was extremely upset and disappointed with the situation, especially because of the time spent traveling, the money spent on gas, and the loss of my workday. As of today, May 14th, I still have not received any response or even a simple apology. If this is how a potential employee is treated before even being hired, it says a lot about how this business values people.

It's a lovely restaurant. It seems a bit out of the way with mostly corporate buildings around. The restaurant has a nice modern aesthetic. I like the purple hyacinths hanging from the ceiling in one area. It was very steady for an off time in the afternoon. First, our server Olivia was amazing! Very attentive and we were extra needy this day so I really appreciate her patience. We even dropped food on the floor. Oops! She was so nice about it and cleaned it up immediately. We had customizations and extra requests. No problem for her! She went above and beyond. I hope she sees this because she was such a joy! The food was also very good. We started with the biscuits and one peach compote and one blueberry. Both were yummy. They were traditional drop biscuits and I love a good biscuit! We also had an order of fried green tomatoes on goat cheese grits. You get 4 very large slices. I could only eat one. The grits were yummy but there were not enough of them in relation to the friend green tomatoes. They were also encased by a sauce. I'm guessing a remoulade. I don't really care for remoulade sauce so I'd have removed it had I known it came with the dish. It really overpowered the goat cheese taste in the grits. The tomatoes were very al dente and I would have preferred them cooked a bit more. The dish was still good but my least favorite and I would normally love anything with those ingredients and fried green tomatoes are a favorite so the remoulade (or whatever it was) sauce was a real problem for me. I would definitely get them again without the sauce because they are great otherwise. But that sauce just overpowers every other flavor! I got the chicken tender dinner and others in my party got the bone in fried chicken. Everyone liked their chicken. The tenders were a big size. 4 of them but I hit 2 meals out of them. Everyone liked the Parmesan rosemary potatoes. I really liked the bacon green beans. The only side we weren't impressed with was the Mac and cheese unfortunately. The cheese was not good. We got coffees and a chai. All of them were very good. A bit pricey for the amount you get though. Even with the smaller complaints, I'd still give th a 5 because of the outstanding service and the dishes were overall very good and large portions. We will definitely return and I hope to try out a breakfast item next visit!

You'll find it right across the street from 3&2 Baseball's west complex. If there is youth baseball in the nicer months, then you can bet that some of those sluggers will matriculate across the street in search of lunch or dinner with families in tow. And with good reason, because Callahan's offers something for just about every palate. I would suggest sampling their BBQ, of which the menu is not vast but what they do, they do really well. The K-7 Combo is one of my favorites, a brisket & sliced sausage sandwich with a house BBQ sauce (or even the K-10, which subs in pulled pork for the sausage). Really good entrée and pairs just right with some of their sides, like a house potato salad or smoked beans. The wing game is pretty strong here, featuring a sweet & spicy glaze called the Honey Badger. It's not too sweet and not too spicy and sits nicely atop their twice-done wings. A basket of wings (8) runs $13.50 and that's a fairly good meal without a side. The kids' menu has plenty of the usual suspects, but Callahan's also does thin crust pizza from scratch and knocks those out of the park. I'd suggest the Big 8, which is their version of a 'supreme', and that's enough for at least two people, or maybe one teenager. Local knowledge: if you just want a side, then I'd suggest their sweet potato fries. Cut in-house and super crispy, and a basket alone is a phenomenal choice. Service is always friendly and quick and check the specials on the board as you come in. There are TVs in almost every direction, because sportsball, and there is not a bad seat in the place. The patio faces west and is open in nicer weather, and the bar has plenty of seating if you just want a solo spot. Prices are totally on par with the area, and the food delivers a value that matches or outpaces the price. Easy access, friendly service, and great food!
