After spending the day at Zoo in Moorpark I wanted something fast and good to eat, so I decided to grab a sub from Jersey Mike's! It was grrrreeaatt! I love this location and I just don't get why it has so many negative reviews. I order the Original Italian sub with gluten free bread. I have to say how Impressed I am about how they handle making their gluten free subs! The girl preparing my sub changed her gloves, cleaned the area around her and still put my bread on a sheet on top of a tray! I mean that was impressive! I'm glad to see how careful they are being with gluten sensitivity or allergies! I also took a picture of another employee cleaning up his working area. The food is great! Fresh and delicious. I always order my sub Mikey's way. They have cold subs or grilled subs if you prefer. You can make it a combo and add drink and a chips! Our party of 3 order online every weekend for a year now before heading out to play golf .. Last Saturday we picked up like always only to later on at golf course realize they made our sandwiches wrong . I called spoke to Zoe which was in charge that day . The employees make the location unbearable. I have been to many other locations but this one is extra Terrible. Here is the breakdown 1. Food 3 stars- it can taste and look better but unfortunately the people behind the counter can even mess up a proven system . The sandwich was uneven and falling apart. 2. Service- -2 stars, I was there at about 1 pm, and there were many employees behind the counter but they all seemed to be waiting for something. Instead of keeping orders together, they were mixing up sandwiches and no one really knew whose food was being worked on. In addition, employees were just standing around until one handed over a sandwich or bowl to another. And while a line built up, no one thought of coming out and getting preorders for the hot sub. I ordered cold because I could not wait more. Terrible service. Oh and the cash register employee was barely understanding what people were asking her. 3. Cleanliness- 0 stars. This has got to be the worst location I've ever been to and it's unfortunate because it's the only one in the area. I avoid going to Jersey Mike's because it takes 35 to 40 minutes to even get through the line because all they do is make the online orders. And then when you get up there, the people are so rude. I like this Jersey Mike's, the people work hard to carefully make our orders well. I usually go to get a sub for my wife and she has gluten sensitivity. They are very careful handling her sandwich, they wipe everything down to ensure there are no regular bread residues and they also interact with my children when we visit them. The rest is pretty straightforward, good quality sandwiches and tasty ingredients. I would like to see the location getting a bit of a refresh, but overall a good Jersey Mike's to pick up a sandwich from. read more

This location always messes things up! Their turn over for employees is always bad so it's ALWAYS new people. I've had a few run ins with the manager and he's the rudest person. Ask he's taking your order he acts like it's the biggest burden or that you're taking up his time. He's the one in the glasses and his hair falls over the visor. Not sure what his name is but he's definitely been there for a few years and has always been rude. I love JM and with this location it's def a hit or miss, especially with who is working and who is preparing your sub. slicer, sprinkler, wrapper and register. I ordered an online order I had to commute to work and let's just say this sandwich is the saddest sub I've ever had from this location. Looks like the lettuce was hydrated from the day prior and it doesn't look like the weight of the meat is not 4.75 lbs for a #8. I asked for extra vinegar, oil and lettuce all and I can taste is the water from the lettuce being soaked over night. My sub wasn't even wrapped correctly. I Throw the other half away. The order was placed and they informed me that it might be 10 minutes because it's a grill item and I was asked if that's okay for me to wait. I don't mind waiting because the big Kahuna is always worth the wait. This hot sub is always overflowing with delicious tender meat and cheese. Every bite is seasoned with robust flavor and the sweet bell peppers balance the fire from the jalapeños. I Love this place and I eat here often... This is literally the worst Jersey Mikes I've ever been to. It's rare I write reviews like this. I have 4-5 Jersey mikes in my area where I live and they are all on top of it. This one, forget going on lunch break or when you're in a hurry. Even calling ahead won't save you time. It's a min of 25 min for calling ahead. In the store, it will take 30-35 min to get out of there. And they aren't friendly at all. They appear to hate their job. The owner needs to re consider how this place is ran. It's truly awful. Worst experience of jersey mikes i've had in my life!!! I work half a mile from the location so I decided to go over on my lunch break. The service was awful they had a long line because the workers would work half-assed with a look on their face that they didn't want to show up for work. By the the time got to me my break was halfway from over ( I was the 3rd person in line too). My sandwich was halfway made when I come to find out their machine was broken and I couldn't use my debit or apple pay, only cash.I never have cash on me how did they expect me to pay for my sandwich. My favorite sandwich is the #17 Philly on parm bread. I order it every time I go to Jersey Mike's. I order from JM's 2 to 3 times a week at different locations, depending on where I'm working that day. On 11/7/24 I ordered my favorite sandwich in the giant size. I order it well done. When I brought it back to work to eat, it was on the wrong bread. I hate regular white bread and they gave me white bread. It made the sandwich taste different. I called to let them know it was wrong and the woman manager said she can't give me a future discount because of the wrong bread. She offered me to bring it in to make a new one but I only have a short break from work and didn't have time. It's a $21 dollar sandwich. What an absolute disappointment! What is even worse is that I am reading the same bad experiences others have had, which means Jersey Mike's has some serious work to do. This was the first time going to this Ventura location. I have had no issues at any other locations. After making unnecessary obnoxious comments, the male employee who claimed to be the Shift Leader refused to give me his name because "he didn't know what I would do with it". You mean other than complain to the store manager??? I don't need to get into the details of bad customer service because I can save it for my true complaint. Quick, clean and yummy The wheat bread is simple and tasty. I love the Club Supreme #9!!! It's turkey, roast beef, bacon w/mayo. Plus I get it Mike's way w/lie on the lettuce & no salt. If I remember I'll ask for extra oregano!! Now most of their stores don't have ketchup packets but if they do put some on it. The ladies working today were awesome. Professional, addressed me as soon as I entered, and provided great customer service that truly was a sub above. I'm always super busy and and in a hurry and Lindsey and Ivy provided me with great service, great food prepared just the way I asked and were friendly and inviting. This is probably the worst Jersey Mike's in the country!!! The staff here absolutely sucks! There not doing anything special here, just making sandwiches so why wont they do it... I think one of the biggest problems with this place is the the employees have come up with "their" own way of dealing with customers. I have only been to the location 2X, and fortunately will NEVER go back. Each employee seems to have 1 job, so one will cut the bread and slice the meat while the other outs the veggies on, etc. But the problem is if you walk in and the one that puts the veggies on is there they won't help or even acknowledge your presence, because it should be the bread cutters job since he starts the sandwich process.... this is the only logic reason I could think of as to why the Jersey Mike's is soon bad! Just terrible staff all around, and if I had to guess the management is just as bad! Please for the love of God AVIOD THIS PLACE AT ALL COST!!!
