The last time we went we had about twenty mins before closing and were popping in for ice cream. We said we understood (I mean yes- I also love being off work on time) but the constant reminders felt like they were shoving us out the door when we were just placing ice cream orders and trying to pay. It might have just been a stressful night. We did pop in the next day and I asked about their coffee selection. The response we got was a bit dismissive and they told us "we have black coffee, we don't do any of that fancy stuff. Go down the street to Taylor's." I was going to order the regular coffee but it was off-putting so we did as they recommended and left. I know I don't *look* like a local- for obvious reasons. I got traditional bone in with 2 flavours one being bbq and the other being what they called "Destroyer". The bbq was a basic sweet bbq with some smokey flavour and was quite good (and extremely sticky and messy which most good wings are). I liked the destroyer even more as it's their hottest wing flavour and while it did bring the heat it also brought plenty of awesome flavour too. The wings were pretty big and perfectly cooked as well. For dessert we had bread pudding which was served with ice cream and was super tasty. The restaurant was beautiful and since it was a nice day outside we sat out on the porch for our lunch. The service was top notch as well. The hamburger bun is a little thicker than most burger joints. The onion rings were very good, fried perfectly and not overtly greasy. The onion rings come with your choice of sauce. I chose Culver's signature sauce which is a white sauce, mildly spicy, and has a pickle taste in my opinion. I highly recommend. Food is a little more than most fast food places, but everything was packaged carefully and it appears they take pride in the food that they serve.

But because of the extra cost, I chose not to order any sauce. Anyway, between the extra, hidden costs of sauces for your meal, the overall cost of eating out (anywhere; not just here) and looking at the ingredients lists online and (not surprisingly) finding MANY MANY food products containing and/or being fried in soybean and canola oils, we will be making eating out a rare thing ASAP- for out budget and our health! But the food does taste good. And I was pleasantly surprised to see ACTUAL BUTTER. Butter in the buns and if you get a butter packet, it's actually butter- not margarine or a blend with crappy oils.
