Literally only giving 1 star because 0 stars isn't an option. This place is disgusting. They always somehow manage to forget something or make it wrong. Officially lost my business after finding bugs in my coffee. This place needs shut down and turned into something else. I don't know how they're still in business. Especially after getting inspected and finding mold in their soft drink machines.

Trust me--skip the bacon cheese fries.

I'm not from here so I've only been once just now. The service was fast and sandwiches we ordered were hot. I'd been wanting to try the bacon cheese fries and was sorely disappointed by them. They tasted like they'd been sitting around a while and were not very warm. The cheese was so artificial tasting I could barely finish--definitely not worth all the bacon hype.

Went throught the drive through which was fast and food came out fresh. Soft serve small ice cream was only for $.59, which I thought was a bargain!

First, you have to question why on earth you would choose McDonalds in this awesome town full of mom and pop local eateries? The answer is that you are just passing through, on a very long day, with 4 very hungry kids. We aimed for the drive thru, but the line wrapped all the way around the building so we figured we would beat the odds by going inside. YIKES!!! It was almost dinner time and the only way I can describe the scene inside is CHAOS! The line was to the door and there was one cashier. Apparently another had called off, I know this because the manager was standing around complaining to another employee about it. The cashier proceeded to take everyone's order without helping get any of them ready. So instead of using common sense and taking an order or two, Shipping them out and going to the next one, the orders kept backing up and people were missing multiple items on their order, or given wrong items. After a 15 minute wait for our 4 happy meals and nuggets, I had to ask again for our drinks. I started my life working in a McDonald's and I know it can get crazy, but Good Lawd, it was ridiculous because they were allowing it to be. That poof cashier had no guidance from the manager who could have fixed the whole situation. When we finally did get our good, I will give them credit here, it was hot and tasted good. As we were cleaning up our table to leave, the trash was so full I had to push it down to get our trash added to it and still, the manager was standing around talking instead of doing anything to help. I think next time, I will wait the few extra minutes and go to a local restaurant.

Stone House Tavern is an awesome restaurant we found during our recent expedition to Waynesville…read moreOhio. It had a very large menu of various items ranging from burgers to wings, bar food and a lot more. We started with an appetizer of sauerkraut balls which was a ball of sauerkraut, cream cheese, sausage which was fried and served with a mustard dipping sauce. It was really sauerkraut forward in the flavour but good all the same. For my main course I of course went for wings. I got traditional bone in with 2 flavours one being bbq and the other being what they called "Destroyer". The bbq was a basic sweet bbq with some smokey flavour and was quite good (and extremely sticky and messy which most good wings are). I liked the destroyer even more as it's their hottest wing flavour and while it did bring the heat it also brought plenty of awesome flavour too. The wings were pretty big and perfectly cooked as well. For dessert we had bread pudding which was served with ice cream and was super tasty. The restaurant was beautiful and since it was a nice day outside we sat out on the porch for our lunch. The service was top notch as well. This was an awesome lunch experience and I definitely intend to make the trek to come back here.

I recently ordered delivery from this Culver's restaurant…read more I ordered the Mushroom and Swiss Value Basket which comes with a drink and side. I ordered the onion rings as a side which is about a dollar up charge. I also ordered a single patty ButterBurger with cheese. Delivery was really quick. The Mushroom and Swiss burger came in its own box. Both burgers were very good. They were seasoned really well, fried good and quite appetizing. The hamburger bun is a little thicker than most burger joints. The onion rings were very good, fried perfectly and not overtly greasy. The onion rings come with your choice of sauce. I chose Culver's signature sauce which is a white sauce, mildly spicy, and has a pickle taste in my opinion. I highly recommend. Food is a little more than most fast food places, but everything was packaged carefully and it appears they take pride in the food that they serve.

The food was great,as normal. I tried the cod sandwich, which was delicious & piping hot. Only…read morecomplaint about it is at looking at the ingredients online, it does have canola and/or soybean oil in the breading AND that it's fried in. The cashier was kinda pushy with the sauces. I asked if any sauces came with meals for free and she said no. All sauces are at least 35 cents. That does irritate me. Two things: 1st, that the menu doesn't list prices of sauces (at least list a price range instead of "sauces may have a fee") and 2nd, that the cashiers push them for every meal, every person. I wrote a great review last time we were here, but noticed another reviewer complained about being charged for the dips/sauces. I don't remember feeling pushed to order sauce the previous time, and I don't use much dip or sauce with my meals. But other fast-food restaurants automatically include dip/sauce with certain items like onion rings, so that is why I asked about a different sauce than the cashier was pushing- for my onion rings. But because of the extra cost, I chose not to order any sauce. It probably wouldn't have bothered me as much if I hadn't noticed how the cashier girl kept pushing the boom boom sauce to every single person in our party, but without mentioning the extra fee. With budgets getting tighter & tighter, we're having to be more careful with our money. Thirty-five cents (or more) may not seem like much, but If everyone in the family orders 1-2 sauces, it can (and has in the past) add several dollars to your bill that you weren't expecting. We've been eating out a LOT because of a renovation we're working on. We've eaten at this Culver's quite a few times and until yesterday, all the cashiers have been pleasant, helpful & cheerful. I can't say yesterday's cashier wasn't pleasant, but it felt forced. Like she wasn't truly a pleasant cheerful person or really didn't want to be there. Most other cashiers in the past have been extremely friendly & helpful & seem genuine. Anyway, between the extra, hidden costs of sauces for your meal, the overall cost of eating out (anywhere; not just here) and looking at the ingredients lists online and (not surprisingly) finding MANY MANY food products containing and/or being fried in soybean and canola oils, we will be making eating out a rare thing ASAP- for out budget and our health! But the food does taste good. And I was pleasantly surprised to see ACTUAL BUTTER. Butter in the buns and if you get a butter packet, it's actually butter- not margarine or a blend with crappy oils. So that's a positive.

Subway: Sweet Onion Cravings & Salad Regrets…read more Subway is Subway. You could blindfold me, spin me around, drop me in any location, and I'd still end up with the same salad and a vague sense of lettuce betrayal. That said--I do crave a sweet onion-drenched chicken salad every now and then. Parking? Fine. Convenience? Solid. Especially if you're ordering online like a modern human who doesn't want to talk to anyone. The app has deals that make you feel like you're gaming the system, even though you're still paying $10.79 for a salad that's 80% lettuce and existential disappointment. The inside is older but clean-ish. Like your aunt's kitchen that hasn't been remodeled since 1999 but smells like Pine-Sol, onions, and good intentions. Now, the salad. I got the #16 All-Pro Sweet Onion Chicken Teriyaki Bowl. It came in a black container with a clear lid, which is basically the takeout version of "don't get your hopes up." The dressing was only on top--like it was afraid of commitment--and there was zero room to mix it unless you're willing to dirty your own plate. Which I was not. I ordered takeout to avoid dishes. For the price, I could've gone somewhere with actual fresh greens and a fork that didn't bend like a yoga instructor. But Subway wins on speed, location, and that sweet onion sauce that keeps me coming back like a salad-loving raccoon. Bottom line: If you're in a rush, craving something vaguely healthy, and don't want a burger from across the street, this place will do. Just don't expect culinary fireworks. Or enough dressing.
