Came here when they first open several years ago and never calmed back because I didn't care for it. But recently, people were hyping their co-co cane drink so I had to try it myself. Pretty much it's coconut with sugar cane. Coconut water and sugar cane drinks are so refreshing on their own but the blend of the two make a good blend too. We also tried the fried tofu and chicken nuggets. Definitely a no to the tofu and the nuggets aren't bad. I have been here twice now after having a poor experience the first time. I decided to give them a second chance because I liked the cafes presentation and I thought maybe I had just ordered the wrong drink. I decided to try one of their smoothies on my second visit which is what I was told is their specialty and they looked amazing in the photos. First time I had ordered a brown sugar bubble tea and was disappointed. Well I was also disappointed with the smoothie...I had ordered a "jackfruit sun" and all the smoothies are presented in photo with fruit on top and when I had received it there was not any. Not to mention the color was different from the photo. It came out white and shows to be orange in the photo. I asked if that was the right drink and if maybe the fruit was just blended in. The employee working gave me a very short and rude "uh...yea..." and I had mentioned it not appearing the same as advertised and she responded with "well I don't know" and walked away.... Customer service definitely needs improvement and they seem to be falsely advertising their products. I wanted to give this place a second chance because they present themselves well and reviews look great but personally I will not be making another return. It's been very disappointing both times. 3 stars because the flavor of the drinks actually wasn't bad but the smoothie gave me a terrible stomachache after. I'm a Sucre for Sucker Cafe. Oh wait. Sucre is just about a five-star place and I do really like the bubble tea here. It's not amazing, but the service is very standout, and the variety on the menu is excellent. I would definitely keep coming back here for the great service, and to further explore the interesting menu. It has particularly nice Decor. It just about makes five star especially because of the service, and because I like to fully support little bubble tea shops like this. I like the Milk Tea here, and I like that they use fresh fruit and some natural ingredients. In some ways it reminds me of The Teahouse local chain down in Houston. Service here is absolutely lovely, and they get a lot of very good looking customers in here as well (not that I have noticed). As you may have noticed, I brought a very good looking customer of my own here. Aside from what she was wearing being special, it's a special place to me because I've been here on several special trips, both alone, and with the fishnet goddess. At Sucre with her, we got the melon drink which really wasn't too amazing. Could have been better and was a little watered down. But again the milk tea is really nice and the service is really great too. It's a wonderful little place to hang out. I'm hoping that when I continue to explore the menu more comprehensively I will find "that one" drink and then "that other" drink that make me want to keep coming back for more. Dallas isn't amazing for Bubble Tea anyway, but there are a few great ones here and there, and lots of pretty good ones. A favorite local spot for High School and College age locals, this small Cafe offers a selection of flavored drinks, teas and smoothies, alongside both sweet and savory accompaniments. Spacious, but usually a little crowded. Service here is quick and efficient, rather impersonal, although allowing for a quick turnover time on whatever you order. It doesn't have the warm and comforting appeal of smaller cafes but the efficiency speaks for itself. Regarding their food, it's fairly simple and quick, but well made, suitable for a cafe experience. Their smoothies are creamy, although I've found their teas to be generally more bitter compared to other offerings in the area. It's always a matter of preference, so don't automatically discount them for yourselves. Blending this altogether, after letting my opinion of this location brew, I'd openly recommend this place to a younger group of people who want to hang in the area and chill. The only reason that sucre drew my attention was because they have cute mason jars and recently, they just came out with some cute hello kitty bottles that you can pay extra for . Other than that, their drinks actually are not that good . I ordered a Thai tea both times that I have been to sucre and both time it tasted like there was no sugar in there at all. My friends that were with me also had to go back up to the counter to ask them to make it sweeter for them (so it wasn't just me). I did order an avocado smoothie while I was studying there and that was pretty decent . They used fresh avocados and not the powder that some places use. Another thing that I did not like was that they started playing loud music when the place got a little crowded but the funny thing was 2/3 of their customers were in there to study . I would give 5 stars but some things just didn't come through. Main thing that disappointed me was their tapioca balls. It was cooked well but it was so bland. Felt like it was sitting in water or something. Also, they put WAY too much boba in your drink. Some people may like that and I guess they aren't being stingy but it was just too much. At first when I heard there was another boba place opening up I was like "yeah ok because that's what Plano needs...yet ANOTHER boba place, ugh." But Sucre Cafe is exactly what Plano needed. I was skeptical, but this place won me over. Sucre Cafe is the bomb, y'all, and it totally s**** on every other boba/dessert place within a 20 mile radius. But the FOOD, y'all!...there's popcorn chicken, fried tofu, chicken & waffle, and BUNS/BAOS for the savory side of things. Then for dessert you got waffles and fried buns with ice cream! I opted for one of their specialty fusion teas - the Island Paradise. I think it was perfect in every way. Very refreshing, not too sweet (which is just the way I like it), and topped with fresh fruits. The jasmine milk tea has a good tea flavor so if you like your jasmine milk tea more milky/creamy then this isn't it. The texture of the boba here is definitely on point - soft but not extremely mushy and is just sweet enough. Definitely order a fried ice cream bun. It's like an ice cream sandwich but better. A-OK. Love that they offer drinks, snacks, and meals. I've tried a couple of milk teas with boba as well as their "chicken bites" (popcorn chicken). As other reviews have praised lavishly, everything has been consistently good. That said, I would prefer to be surprised more by the taste than by the price. Sometimes the price is not as well-indicated on the menu... There's also a cash minimum, which also encourages spending more than planned if you don't have cash on you. I would still bring friends here on occasion--maybe late afternoon so we can miss the evening rush--but I've learned not to come here frequently for a study spot. If it's the vibes or the option of food that I'm paying extra for, I'll pay less for more vertical thinking space / natural lighting at Vivi's. read more

I got their new wintermelon fresh milk tea, tofu bites, and a chicken bulgogi bun. The flavor of the wintermelon tea was perfect, but the boba was a little too chewy and hard for my taste. TOFU BITES WERE THE BOMB! It was perfectly crispy and the sesame soy sauce that came with it was soo good! The chicken bun was great as well - the bun was very soft and the chicken was juicy. I recommend this place for the drinks and atmosphere. I would advise against eating the food. I tried the rice paper meal and it came with chicken, egg, and noodles and everything was rock hard. I never had rice papers before so I thought maybe it was supposed to be like that but I couldn't chew it. It was like plastic/ rock. They are offering extra 30% off since they are still in the soft opening phase until they can get some kinks worked out and finalize their menu. They are openly open to critiques and want to make sure we are happy with our orders. I really enjoyed their mangonado. I can see that they used fresh mangos. Yum! But my drink was missing the tamarind straw. They said they ran out of it. My husband tried their Americano iced coffee. He said it was surprisingly good. He's pretty picky with his coffees, so it must be good! Now for my favorite part of their menu. Their dessert waffles! Only $8, which is a good deal considering how much fresh fruit toppings they add. You can select between different waffle flavors, such as original Belgian, chocolate chip and green coconut. Green coconut was my fave. The waffles have a nice crispy cake like texture. It's not spongy and bland like the ones from Cafe brown sugar and Java Haus, which charges about $10. You get to customize your waffles by picking 3 fruit toppings and an ice cream flavor. The owner mentioned that they are going to add more flavors, like red velvet, in the next week or two! This is such a cute little cafe! My husband and I stopped in for dessert, and they had more than just sweet options! The girls behind the counter were very friendly, and helpful when guiding us through their menu. They suggested the waffles for dessert and they were really delicious! We got the coconut waffles with mango and lycee on top with vanilla ice cream and chocolate sauce. The waffle was so fluffy and warm and paired perfectly with the ice cream! If you haven't tried lycee before (we hadn't) I highly suggest it! It went so well with the waffle and had sweet refreshing flavor. Came here for the first time a couple weeks ago when Sucre was doing their "buy a drink after 9PM and get a free glass water bottle" promotion weekend. Our party ended up getting there around 8:30 and I hadn't eaten yet, so I decided to grab some food while waiting for 9PM to roll around. The two buns I tried were the braised pulled pork bun and the char siu bun. The char siu bun had great flavor, and the braised pulled pork was soft and chewy, but it was so oily that the bun beneath the meat got soggy really quickly and I ended up discarding part of it because it was so mushy. I also ordered the kimchi fries; I didn't realize they were quite so big per order, and that they came with some bulgogi as well! The table split it and it was pretty delicious, especially the oozing fried egg that came on top. As for drinks, I tried the lycheelicious tea which came with lychee jelly and lychee popping boba, and the citrus tea which I added aloe vera and basil seeds to. Both were very delicious and refreshing, especially after the high salt content of my food! I will definitely be back to try the rest of the extensive food and drink menu; the bowls look really good, as do the slushies! read more

They had a soft opening in July. It's a nice modern place with lots of seating. They have several log tables for big parties so if you don't have a lot of people, you can make new friends! So we ordered the mangonada and the lycheeslicious. Both were good. The lychee wasn't too sweet but very refreshing and it had the actual fruit in there. The magonada was very fresh and it also had fruit. The only thing was that they were only available in a large size because apparently their recipes were only for large cups. Which I think could easily be re-sized to match smaller cups, but what do I know? It's a good thing we got 20% off during the soft opening. We were there an hour before they closed, so they weren't many people there but they did take a while to give my husband and me our drinks. It wasn't until the manager came to ask about what we thought was when he realized we didn't get it yet. They're new and still working out their kinks. One of my top boba fixes. I was so excited when I found this gem. It's beautiful inside, with a fireplace and spacious seating. It's more of a chill coffeehouse vibe than anything else. Great place to get work done. Food: Thai tea was great. It's pretty hard to mess up Thai tea as it's the most basic drink out there. But there's was exceptionally good. Didn't taste artificial at all. The boba was perfect too, not overly sweet. Green tea was my favorite. I loved how the flavor wasn't too strong. The chicken buns were delicious. It took a long time to be prepared but well worth the wait. It was sweet and savory similar to teriyaki chicken. The buns had a marshmallow-like texture. Very different than anything I've ever tried. Super excited to finally come out here!!! Sucré has something for pretty much everyone. Smoothies, tea, coffee, slushes, and fried munchies. I love how you can smell a sweet fried scent when you walk in. I didn't get to try any goods but it sure looked promising. The cafe is thoughtfully decorated with a faux, LED fireplace display, chairs, benches, bar seating, and lots of two top tables with outlets for readers and studyers. If you need wifi, the network is SBG6, and you can ask the employee for the password. The noise level was pretty average until 4pm which seemed to be "attack of the cute babies" time...as people and families get out of work, it starts to fill up haha. The drinks are priced a little higher than I thought they would be. They range from $2.35 for coffee up to $5.36 for the more elaborate smoothies and slushes. I wished there was a better variety of sizes to choose from; you're forced into choosing either a mason jar size or a 16 oz. I heard from some other yelpers that you apparently can keep your jar if you order a drink with one. My green tea smoothie was $5.36, including tax, which was a bit steep for me. The drinks are MTO which is great, they're not made beforehand. My green tea smoothie had a decent matcha flavor but was a little on the sweeter side. I was REALLY happy to not get it with whipped cream - I probably would've gagged from how sweet it would've been. I think a bit more matcha and creaminess would've made it perfect. The best part is that they have a guarantee: if you don't like your drink they will remake it for you. I didn't take advantage of that when I went, but even without, my drink was pretty good. The part that I appreciated the most was the OUTSTANDING service. I was approached by THREE different employees for feedback on the drink! :) Will definitely be back! read more

Ordered my lunch from here today! I had the Chicken Katsu Rice Bowl, Tofu Bites, and a large Black Milk tea with boba. I really enjoyed it! The Chicken Bowl was filing, and the sauces that they added on top of the chicken really made the dish. I believe it was spicy mayo, and some kind of teriyaki sauce, but I could be totally wrong LOL. The tofu bites were nice and crispy and came with a dipping sauce that gave the perfect tang to them :) The black milk tea here was amazing, so delicious without being too sweet.
