I decided to try this local place for lunch. The photos on Yelp looked good. Located in the Cherry Street area of Elizabeth. Mainly residential area. Place has one driveway for parking. Otherwise it is street parking. Unless you are coming when people are at school/work- the. You probably will have some difficulty finding parking close. Dining area has ample tables. I could see how this could be feel cramped if a lot of people were dining at one time. Otherwise I had no problem since it was just me and few others. My waiter was very friendly and attentive. I was hoping to see a lunch special menu but I didn't. Menu was a basic menu. I should have asked if there was a lunch menu. So I tried the Leche de Tigre appetizer which was VERY tasty. Wish I had a lil more ceviche or maybe tostones to put drip in. It came with choclo (Peruvian corn) and sweet potato slices on side. Then I ended up trying the Lomo Saltado. I don't usually get Lomo Saltado when I go to Peruvian places but for some reason I tried it this time. They served it wth a pleasant presentation. The only thing I wish was different was that they didn't mix the French fries in with the mixture because it makes it soggy. I've seen photos with it mixed and not mixed. Bottom line - it wasn't my favorite . I should have tried the Arroz Chaufa ( fried rice) Waiter told me that there is live music on friday nights. Honestly- the prices are expensive for the location. I may give this place another try one day

Leche de tigre .... It was very good

Good food, very friendly service, place clean and neat. Unfortunately it's street parking only, we have to take some time to find a spot.

This was the perfect combination. It was absolutely delicious. Julio the owner is so amazing. I totally recommend Sudaka. Your taste buds will go crazy!

Quarter chicken with rice and salad

Delicious Peruvian food. Never had it before, but saw the high reviews and it was down the street from where we were staying. Started with some fried corn with two sauces. We both liked the spicy green-cilantro sauce the most. Had the quarter chicken and bistec a lo pobre. Both were tasty. If I had to order again I'd try the lomo saltado, which has many tasty-looking photos. Overall we were very happy and would come back again.

I came here for dinner with my fiance and her brother. It's located near houses so parking is limited especially during the winter time when people save their parking spot with buckets of chairs. The area is not as dangerous as other Peruvian restaurants I've been too. Didn't have the feeling I would get jumped here. The waiter greeted us in English as we entered. He quickly got our drink order in. We got the chicha (sweet purple corn drink), coke and water. We ordered a lto fo food. We started with the anticucho (grilled marinated cow heart), yuca with haceuchlla sauce, the bistec a pobre, bistec a macho, and I got the seafood soup. Overall, the quality is good and the portion size is above average. I probably wouldn't come out of my way to dine here again unless I was nearby. Also, I can get my Spanish food fix at La Forgota where its easier to access and find parking. Credit card accepted and bathroom is very clean.

2nd time I order from this restaurant , 1st time was great which is the reason I order a 2nd time, 1st time it was a full tray now this time it looks like was the lucky one to get the left over I called then all I was told was that will take your name and # then next time we'll give a discount or an add on which I find very unethical it should have been solved right on spot... too bad 4themthis jalea de mariscos was suppose to have fish which it was no where to be found in plater; I also ordered a Bistec a lo Macho meat was not tender at all, it was suppose to have tomatoes, clams, and potatoes wedges that was never found in this dish at all; Will I buy or eat from this restaurant again; or even recommend it... never!!!

Just came back from a long trip and decided to givee Sudaka a try. I was amazed of how delicious thier anticuchos and ceviche con jalea were. Nos llevamos un lomo saltado para comer mas tarde. Una experiencia hnica. El establecimiento esta muy moderno y nuestra mesada Laura fue un amor y muy atenta. Definitivamente we wll come back

Ehhhh was cravin goerivian food and this spot was convenient. Got there it was super cold ac on blast. First things first we order the purple drink that is rather popular in Peruvian restaurants. Tasted so bad we literally left the entire thing and got charged for it lol but whatever it was 2.50 each. Menu doesn't have much options. Our food was ok, nothing to brag about. Overall I'm dissatisfied. Won't come back.

Thank you Yelp for suggesting this little gem. The restaurant is tucked away in a residential area. I picked up a lunch special that included fried fish, rice, Peruvian potato, salad, soup and an inca cola. It was huge portion and only cost $8 plus $1 tip. They included napkins, utensils, and sauces without me asking for them. Also included was a jelly dessert that I've never had before but tasted very good! The food was delicious and the service was quick and friendly. I will definitely come back here again. One star deducted because there is no parking, only tight driveway on side and the only entrance is not handicap friendly as it has 5 stairs going up. I would without a doubt come here again! Thank you Sudaka for an awesome lunch!!

This place has a trendy and upbeat atmosphere, and really tasty rotisserie chicken. The Peruvian green sauce was a tad heavy on the mint and bit salty, but still delicious. My fiancé and I ordered a whole chicken with rice and fries. We also ordered a guacamole side salad, which came with standard ranch dressing, and a side of white beans (the only type they had). The chicken was fresh and the rub was delicious. The fries were so good. They were fresh, hot and crunchy. The rice was a bit cold but worked well with the beans and green sauce. The beans were seasoned really well. They also serve Mexican Coca Cola, which I love. The service was really good. The prices were supper affordable. Everything we ordered came to about $25. The portions were big. We took more than half home for lunch the next day I would definitely come back.

Modern BYOB Peruvian restaurant with live band on Fridays. Waitress was very friendly, the chicken and fried rice were very good. Great selection of desserts along with coffee/espresso.

First time here! I must say I enjoyed all the meals we ordered. Our server recommended some great apps and entrees. I will definitely come back.

I love me some good Peruvian food.

Great environment, lots of food portion for the price and good service!…read more We had a layover and wanted to eat good food and saw this restaurant on Yelp. Decided to try it and when we arrived it was empty with street parking. It was a Tuesday night and pretty cold which is why I'm guessing no one was there. Lots of seating options, bathrooms were clean and they had a big screen of music playing. The waitress was very friendly and took our drink orders and food orders right away. We got the chicken and anticuchos along with chicha morada. Food came out fast and the plates were huge. Waitress was very attentive and brought out all the sauces, extra napkins and was on sight in case we needed anything. Food was great, cooked how we asked for it and potatoes were not burnt. I was happy with my order and experience and recommend this place.

As the name suggests, they specialize in pollo a la brasa, rotisserie chicken cooked over charcoal, typically accompanied with fresh cut french fries and salad. In addition, they offer daily specials, and a full a la carte menu. Perhaps most importantly, this is a place that cares about its sauce selection. You'll feel like a true painter armed with the plate as your palette. When I received my meal, the waitress even double-checked to make sure all the sauces were all full. Their chicken comes with 3 sauces (also called cremas or aji): - the yellow sauce - huancaina - the green sauce - aji verde - the brown/reddish - olive sauce, salsa de aceituna

Upon walking in, there's a strong aromatic smell of hot Peruvian dishes, either lomo saltado, or chaufa. There were several tables occupied by locals for lunch when I arrived. The architecture of the restaurant is a tad strange, although homely in its decorations, the restaurant being split in two halves by walls. The service was extremely friendly and attentive, full of smiles. The menu consists of seafood dishes (stewed and steamed fish, breaded, jalea, ceviche, soups, etc.) as well as other typical Peruvian dishes such as saltado, chaufa, bistec a lo pobre, and more, excluding pollo a la brasa. In addition, they have a whiteboard with daily specials. I went with the ceviche de pescado as well as a cup of chicha morada. The chicha was excellent with strong sweet flavor, topped with fruit. The ceviche was of great portion ($13), a nice crunchy but cooked fish taste, balanced by the lime and onions. It came with corn and a steamed sweet potato on the side, as is typical. It was served in a shallow fish-shaped dish, allowing ease of drinking the leche de tigre. As you can see in the picture of the ceviche, there is much attention paid to the variety of spices and herbs to the dish. The fact that the dish is very green, and there are fine chopped hot peppers are good signs! I look forward to returning to try some of their many hot dishes next!
