I took my poodle there for the first time few weeks ago. A few things were not right. First they did not ask me for vaccination record! (I don't know whether they don't usually ask or they forgot to ask me on that day) . It was really concerning. Second I asked for nail trimming and the lady (I think her name was Imani) told me I need to pay $6 extra dollars for a total of $66. I said no problem. When I went back to pick up my dog, the other lady which I am not sure what her name was (A tall caucasian lady who groomed my dog that day) told me I have to pay $72 for grooming and $6 extra for the nail trimming, a total of $78. I was surprised and told her about what Imani told me before. She said no that was without nail trimming. I did not want to discuss and paid the money! Third I did not ask for a poodle cut, (I only asked a bit shorter around eyes and muzzle and clean paws which is still a bit different from poodle cut) (I really don't like that kind of cuts) but my dog received a poodle cut (with head and ears cut like a poodle) that day! Fourth we stepped outside and I saw my dogs nails are not really trimmed, we went inside and asked for that and she took him back and did it after I asked for! Fifth, my dog's skin was red and damaged especially near to his private part, it was so heartbreaking to see those spots on my dog's body. I am not sure I will go back there again or not! I usually don't write reviews, but for the love that I have for dogs I thought I have to share this with all, that if you go there, please be more careful that you don't experience the same things. I have to say I really don't want to hurt their business but we need to take care of our babies (dogs) because they cannot speak up! read more

The first time I brought my dog here I had a great experience and I felt that they were decently priced. I have an Australian Shepherd (male) who has long hair and it's usually expensive to get him groomed. This last time I brought him in, when I picked him up I was criticized because he isnt fixed and told he gave other dogs a hard time. My dog is friendly and I have never had issues with him in the past at parks or at any other groomer. I noticed that they let all the dogs roam around and play while they work, which I was fine with me because, again, my dog has never been aggressive in the past but also wondered, " what would they do if a fight broke loose?" Seems like a liability. My dog isnt fixed because I plan to breed him. I was taken a back when one of the girls working Judgingly asked me why he wasnt fixed and went on to tell me he gave them all a hard time and "highly recommended I fix him". If it werent for her tone and the way she went about it I wouldn't be as offended but after that I felt like we were unwelcome so, I'll definitely be taking my business elsewhere from now on. Every time I look at my dog I sent a silent thank you to the staff at Suds n Paws. My dog was a matted mess and the stuff couldn't have been more gracious about it. They transformed her into a beautiful dog again. I noticed dogs were pretty calmed and relaxed, and they were working on this huge dog who was behaving pretty nicely. I still cannot believe I've been living up the street and never saw the grooming sign before! I am looking forward to taking my dog back to have her groomed. read more

My previous dog groomer sadly shut down and I have been searching for a place I trust as implicitly with my pup, thankfully Suds N Paws checks all the boxes for a pet grooming place and exceeds some of them. I am so glad we found Suds n Paws! After our long time groomer left PetSmart, we had not been very happy with any of the grooming options we tried. They did a mediocre job and Stella was miserable every time we dropped her off. I found Suds n Paws based on Yelp reviews and was hopeful they would be good. They were great! Not only did they do a good job with the grooming, but Stella actually gets excited every time we take her there. I think she really likes the ladies who work there and also loves socializing with the other dogs. On top of that, it's less expensive than the big pet stores. Can't recommend them enough! read more

Just moved to the area and needed my small mutt groomed so bad. This place had great reviews and was close to home so I booked an appointment. All the groomers seemed nice and calm, both to the dogs and myself. My pup's cut was super cute and they added a sweet little bow! Most of the dogs were running around together in the grooming area instead of in crates and they all seemed relaxed and happy! Reasonable prices as well, I think I paid $45 for grooming, bath, nails, ear cleaning and a couple other services. We'll be back! read more

We always took our old terrier here because no other groomer could handle doing her nails. Other groomers would just skip doing them because she would get so squirmy, but this place could handle her! Now, we've taken the little friendly beagle in and he does great. Most impressive, though, is their accommodation of our very dog-aggressive German Shepherd. We can bring him in very early and they'll get him in and out with no problems. Love this place, the only groomer we'll ever use! read more

Took care of my baby perfectly and she is usually super tough to bath but they did amazing never going anywhere else

My dog loves it here! His fur gets matted VERY quickly, so we have to take him to be groomed quite often. He is always excited to go in and see his friends -- the people and the other dogs! This is the only place I will take my bulldog!!! I was so nervous to take & leave my baby with strangers so I would sit & wait the entire time! They never minded. Nicest people work there!!! Take my dogs in all the time just for nail clippings on call. My grandma brings her Maltese dog in for cuts and she's very picky, yet they are still so kind and have all the patience in the world for her! Can't thank them enough! My wife and I love this place. Always clean and tidy. The owner operator is a doll and our dogs are treated like royalty. Our neighbor gave us the tip and we have been steady customers since. We just moved down from LA and were looking for a replacement for the groomer that we loved. I called around to a handful of local groomers and from the first phone call Suds N Paws was professional, affordable ($45 for the full treatment on an 18 pound dog) and thoughtful. Because my dog is a rescue with a missing eye and damaged ear, I am very careful about who I take her to. When I walked into the groomer, I felt the warmth and care that they give the dogs and I loved the cut when I picked my dog up. They had followed my special haircut directions given my dog's appearance. I also loved that they only kept her for a couple of hours, as opposed to the whole day, as some other groomers do...meaning that the dog has to stay in a kennel. They even gave us a bag of dog treats as a thank you for our business. So happy that we've found our San Diego groomer! read more

I have taken my Yorkie to several different places to get him groomed. All were just alright... here was WONDERFUL! The staff was very friendly on the phone setting up the appointment. The store was clean and smelled nice with a clean area for the dogs to play in (which you dont find in many places) The staff asked specific questions as to how I wanted him groomed and they did EXACTLY what I asked. My two boys love this place. We have been going there for two years. They fight to be first through the door and I often cannot get one (who hated to be groomed by other groomers) to leave. They are both so excited to go and seem to know and understand when we get in the car where they are headed.
