Upon walking in, we were greeted by one person. The other 3 were just chillin' by the register. We initiated conversation to get what we needed done. We were scheduled for a "pre-inspection" for a Friday but my fiancé was in the neighborhood on a Wednesday just to look at it. The mechanic (Reuben) let him take a peek of his bike under a tarp. Sweet guy, though. We come in on Friday for the actual pre-inspection and a nasty woman, Reneé, comes up and basically yells at us for coming on Wednesday. I kept trying to ask why they would count looking under tarp as a pre-inspection but she constantly kept talking over us and cutting us off. Right then, I can tell she was busting our balls and playing mind games. She kept saying how we caused a confusion by coming in on Wednesday. Pre-inspection is taking a close look at a bike, then doing paperwork and insurance and paying taxes on it. NONE of that was done on Wednesday. Just peeking under a tarp. She knows what's entailed with doing a pre-inspection...why did she keep repeating that we caused confusion? We are way past that, just let us see our bike that we are paying for. Then, when we were back there, she was rushing us by saying, "we can't bring people back here for insurance purposes...this is also our busy time and we gota take care of customers." Now, let me break that down for you all: 1. This is our SCHEDULED pre-inspection. I can stay back there with MY bike as long as I see fit to make sure I got what I'm paying for. 2. We ARE clients who actually BOUGHT the bike! So, don't you want to take care of clients who actually bought something? 3. It's nice feel important but it's really important to just be nice. Her statement made NO sense! Over the phone, she was just as nasty. When scheduling she would say, "Eh, Wednesday's not good for me". Ummmm, as a person in customer service, you can be nicer and suggest dates...not telling me what's good for you...because if I'm paying for something, I'm pretty sure you gota make sure when it's good for ME. During pre-inspection she was very condescending and said, "we'll have it ready Thursday/Friday", we responded with, "over the phone you said Tuesday". Then she said, "sorry"...but with a crazy snooty tone! Then at the end of signing, she made it sound like she was doing us a favor by telling my fiancé they she can have the bike ready by 4p or 5p. Like. Like, Thanks... Lastly, we pick up the bike and asked if we should bring our ramp. They said, "nah man, we got ramps...". We get there...they didn't have a ramp. They used a crude ramp. But hey. Whatever works. The mechanics are probably the reason why I gave 1 star. But I would never want to deal with this Harley location ever again! Placed an online order for a few items (I live in PA but originally from the Island and used to love this dealership) When the order arrived one item was missing. I emailed them and a Chris Bxxxxxt replied and told me he packed it himself. I searched the package, looked around the floor but couldn't find it. I went back to this guy, told him I hadn't received it and gave him the option of sending a replacement or a refund, whatever was easiest for him. He said he'd send a replacement. A few weeks passed, no replacement. Emailed again, no response after about a week. Emailed again, he responded and said he'd sent two replacements. Told him I hadn't received anything, again gave the option of refunding my money. He said he'd send another replacement. Another week or so passed, emailed again and told him I wanted a refund. Another week, no replacement, no refund. The item is very inexpensive but I refuse to pay for something I didn't get. I've contacted my bank to force them to refund my money. read more

Everytime I went to this Harley dealer ship I was consistently reminded why I dont like to shop there. Most of my purchases were parts , accessories, clothing . The people are pretentious and the guys at parts counter make you feel like they are doing you some kind of a favor by helping you. Which when paying a premium for parts and accessories doesn't really sit well with me . i will never shop there ever again and if anyone is looking for a GREAT Harley dealership experience I would take the time out to go to NYC harley in Long Island city ,worth the drive. read more

I wanted a key fab for my 2012 VRod, after calling them for a price and a time, they told me to come down. I get there at the agreed upon time and no one was there to fix, they closed the shop early. Nothing makes me more upset than wasting my time and stupidity And they did both! read more

I will avoid dealing with Suffolk County HD if at all possible EVER in the future. The service department gives you anything but service, and if they do, it comes with an exaggerated price, attitude, and incompetency. They caused SEVERE damage that could have killed me on a road trip right after they "repaired" a blowout by leaving my wiring harness dangling causing my directional no longer to work which blew an electrical module for my signal and brake lights. When I went to discuss the problem and ask them to fix the damage after having to spend $167 today for those parts that they destroyed, not to mention $538 for a BLOW-OUT, I dealt with someone who was so rude and obnoxious and didn't want to even speak to me. I guess if you're not complimenting them, if that's possible, they won't speak to you. Put in a call in to owner. Never heard back. I will avoid this dealership with every ounce of my being. This is NO WAY to treat anyone, let alone someone who purchased two BRAND-NEW MOTORCYCLES from them. SHAME ON YOU. Gene Baron, the original owner of Suffolk HD, may he rest in peace, is probably rolling over in his grave when he sees how the new dealership treats its loyal customers. read more

This review relates to the service department. Now the guys working the service counter, very nice very helpful and informative. Dave always went out of his way to help unfortunately whoever works on bikes well that's another story. Bought a brand new Road Glide Special. H-D Suffolk did a stage 3 for me. Picked up the bike, ran like crap, stopped for gas on the way home and realized my gas tank was just resisting in the frame. Nothing was tightened down. The bolts were finger tight. Aside from the fact the bike was disgusting filthy dirty. On the ride home the bike starts to knock, call the dealer and they say bring the bike bike. Unfortunately the bike sounded like it blew a rod and I got stuck on the parkway for 4 hours waiting for someone to pick up me and the bike. As part of this disaster I had them install the fan assisted oil cooler only to realize it wasn't working because the tech did not flash the bike and turn it on. Another trip back to fix something that should have been right the first time. Now a year later my bike is leaking oil like crazy because almost all the connections to the fan assisted oil cooler are leaking oil. Don't know if it's Harley or this dealer but they used the cheep hose clamps you tighten with a screw driver, every single one is so loose you can tighten them by hand. Unfortunate I had to get oil all over a suit on the way to work to find out. Now I have to take the bike to another dealer to fix what I already paid for once before. This is my experience you judge. My last comment, my friend Kendrick who did 3 tours in Iraq gave the service department a bad review and when he subsequently showed up for a service they told him to leave and threw him out. Don't buy anything from Harley Davidson. I recently ordered a CIRO cup holder Big Ass version. When I received the cup holder and after installed i realized that they gave me the regular one. I called to see if they would exchange the cup holder only because it's the same bracket. They told me that I would have to return the whole thing and pay a 20% restock fee. I brought my 2017 Roadglide which is under warranty for a not starting issue, since I have an extended warranty on this bike that I paid extra for, to the Harley Davidson dealership in Oakdale NY. I just picked up my bike to find they are charging me $a bill that totals $120.00 for "diagnosing" the problem plus the oil change I requested. I requested to speak to a manager and the owner came out to tell me the charges stand if I don't pay them they'll keep my bike & call the police. the Owner also told me he doesn't represent Harley Davidison he represents his dealership (which is a Harley Davidson dealership). I have bought 3 brand new Harley bikes over the past 20 years which comes to roughly $100K I have spent buying Harley Davidson bikes, this is the 1st time I have ever had an issue with a repair under warranty, I have even had repairs done out of state by another dealership with no issues or out of pocket expense. I would not recommend Harley Davidson Oakdale NY to anyone actually would recommend you use any other dealership! Especially with an owner that could not care except to make money and nickle and dime customers there is an actual charge on the bill for $1.12 for a lockwasher, the bike was not starting how much diagnosis is really involved??? it's either the battery or starter simple diagnosis and even if you had to hook a computer up to get the computer issue code that really is costing $120.00???? SHAME ON HARLEY DAVIDSON OF OAKDALE NY!!!!!!!!!!! I am reading other reviews of good experiences makes me wonder if they were at this same dealership. I will be bringing this issue to Corporate as well as local news that help consumers who are taken advantage of. read more

I purchased a 2014 CVO limited new from Suffolk Harley they were awesome, Ruben the sales manager always treated me good even back when he worked for Huntington Harley I purchased bikes from him. If you want to feel like you really got screwed go to EASTERN Harley Davison, In RIVERHEAD , the only Complaint that I have is the chrome on my hand grips is wearing away With only 7500 miles on the bike and always kept in a climate control garage the chrome is horrible chipping and worn, 40k on a bike and the chroming is poor at best, but that's not the dealerships fault it's Harley Davison. Harley charges 300.00 For these grips I would never replace them except for aftermarket, Harley's chrome is horrible very disappointed, read more

I have been riding for over 30 years and what I like about this place is they listen to you and help you decide on a bike that is within your skill level and that it will be one that you enjoy riding. Their Parts and service Department are excellent. They have real mechanics who go above and beyond to make sure that your bike is done right. They are also Military and Law Enforcement Friendly ! Used there web site, made an appointment to bring my bike in for service. When I got there they said, sorry we didn't see your email or even checked there emails so no we cant service your bike today, need to come back Aug 10th WHAT!! Unacceptable. Its 2018 and if you offer appointments my email then you better make sure you take the time to check your emails daily.. Will never mention this dealer again to my friends, family or any present or future rides.. Not happy.. my bike has been in their shop for 8 months and the only answer I get from them is "we are waiting on parts" it's the last thing anybody wants to hear. Tried talking to management and they blew me off. Tried sending e-mails and received the typical generic response. I heard good things about this dealership and bought my bike from them but after this fiasco I'm definitely looking for a more reliable shop. I just want my bike back. Tried to charge me $550.00 plus tax for a first service, that was over the summer.. over the last 2 weeks I called 3 different times to get a price on changing the oil and tranny fluid and each time they gave me a different price. I just called five minutes before writing this and the guy told me $285.00 (NO MULTI-POINT INSPECTION) for an oil change and the tranny fluid, $185.00 for just the oil change also no multi- point. I sat there on the phone with the adviser and helped him do the math to show him how much it should cost. We got the price down to $145.00 plus tax for both the oil change and tranny fluid.... Nassua harley did the same thing but when I called them out on it they said they would just do it for $135.00. Both these dealers are rip offs but Nassau Harley isn't as bad. I bought my bike from Suffolk so id rather go there but there to untrustworthy. to the people that think this place is fair-- your not in the automotive field and your definitely not a service adviser your self. read more

If you need service go somewhere else. The service department treats you great when you first bring your bike in and when you pay the outrageous bill. After that forget about it. They don't stand by their work. Had new spot switch installed and passing lamps installed. They told me I had one bad passing lamp, the plug was getting power but light wasn't working so must be "bad bulb". They offered to replace it at over $200 + (one light) . I declined and purchase one elsewhere. Plugged the light in and didn't work, same as other one. I then removed the working lamp and plugged new lamp and the "bad" lamp in and they both worked. At $110 an hour I shouldn't have to second guess their work and thus bought new lamp for no reason. Took me 2 minutes to realize there was a problem. When I called and told of problem said wasn't their fault (really??). They were however gracious enough to tell me I could bring it back in for diagnostics at another $110 an hour to correct their mistake and they could definitely fix it. Thanks but no thanks. I'll fix it myself. Been long time customer always thought highly of them but now won't be back. read more

Service Dept. SUCKS. Made me wait three weeks for an appointment on a brake-related safety recall then refused to honor the appointment when I called the day before to confirm. Service advisor expressed no remorse whatsoever for their dealership's inability to honor their promise. I've purchased six new Harleys in the past 15 years...two from this dealership. No business should ever treat a good customer this way. It takes years to develop a good customer but only a minute to lose one. I called down to a salesperson from my two previous Harley purchases who was now working at Oakdale/Suffolk Harley to request a test ride on the new 107 touring bikes. I was told no bikes were available to try a the moment and asked for him to call me when they became avail for test drive.
