Nose-Blow chicken. Snot Chicken. Supposed to be lemongrass chicken but not a single piece of actual lemongrass.

I got a lemongrass chicken stir fry from the "vietnamese" menu. I got nose-blow chicken. It looked like snot. Im sorry. It was the weirdest semi-transparent white-ish sauce that ive ever been served on a plate and it most resembled mucus. If youre dirty, you may think something else. There wasnt a single piece of lemongrass in it. It was so bland that it tasted like nothing. Look at my picture. Service was good. The inside is all shades of the same color scheme... pale yellow/tan/beige. Its weird.

Yum yum YUM !! it was our first time at Sugar Cane and we very much enjoyed it. First off our server was wonderful, funny and friendly. They have a big drink menu which we got our mai tai flights from , they were yummy! I had ordered the chicken pho , even the small order was big ! The pupu plater came with some of the best chicken fingers I've had. The beef fried rice was flavorful. I didn't get to try the chicken lettuce wraps but my partner did say they were so so GOOD she couldn't stop eating even when she knew she had to stop haha. Thank you Sugar Cane , we will be coming back.

It has bar seating area and table dining as well. The restaurant is one of the more modern decorated Vietnamese restaurants compared to traditional mom and pop's Vietnamese restaurants that I am used to. I appreciate the vietbamese street scene mural that they have going and I appreciate their effort and attention to detail. For appetizer, we ordered the Vietnamese fish sauce fried chicken wings. It was very good! This is a must! Sadly, they didn't have the betel leaves beef/pork skewer. I will have to come back another time. For entree, I ordered pho while my husband ordered the bun cha Ha Noi, and my kids shared the rice plate with pork chop and fried egg. My pho broth was very clear, and very light in flavor. It was very reminiscent of how my mother would make her pho, very subtle flavors and with wide pho rice noodles. Long's pho I would say is more akin to Northern Vietnamese pho so if you're looking for more salty and fragrant pho, this might not be for you. I love additional pickled vinegar garlic slices that are available at each table as well. I have never seen this at any Vietnamese restaurant in MA. The bun cha Ha Noi, the was good, but I would try something other next time. The rice plate we ordered had pork chops, fried eggs, and what was supposed to be pork skin, however, the pork skin was not up to standard so the owner replaced it with grilled chicken for us. Pork chops were a little over cooked. They are still very new. I think playing some music will help with the kitchen banter. Service was friendly and fast. Food came out at a very good pace. I feel like their drinks and appetizers menu might be the place to start if you're not adventurous. I will definitely be back to try more of their dishes. See my pictures!

I was given a bag with one container of noodles and broth and meat all together/ there was no sides of typical Thai basil and other Vietnamese accompaniments that come with pho... The broth is flavorless. The noodles as another reviewer pointed out were very very little for the price of the soup and for pho in general. I usually don't go back and change reviews but I can't express how dissatisfied this is. I'm glad I actually checked the bag! I had to ask for another to go container to separate the noddles from the broth ( pho should never be served this way) I had to ask for Thai basil and everything else pho is served with. Unfortunately they are closing this location today and I can see why. This isn't how pho should be and even changing a for here order to a to go doesn't make a difference for the broth, packaging, noodle ration etc

I tried their Passion Butterfly with tea and Grass Jelly. My tastebuds were feasting! I could tell that they used fresh ingredients which was confirmed by one of the owners. The Golden Tiger Sugar with Cheese Foam was rich, creamy and smooth. I definitely recommend! My inner childhood came out when I saw the Waffle Corn Dog on the wall. I haven't seen one of those since my late god mother made them for me as a kid. It comes with a cheese sauce. I'm unsure if there are other condiments. I think this would taste great with kewpie mayo or a sweet mustard. I should've taken one to go! They also sell macaroons displayed on a glass case. We were able to sit on one of the counter tables and enjoy a drink and a snack. It felt so comfortable being there. There were a good number of customers that came for bubble teas to go. I wish I could've stayed longer. Before heading out, we ordered a Mango Fruit Tea and Ube Matcha with Cheese Foam and Coffee Jelly for the long drive home. This visit was well worth it! Tip: if headed south on Summit Street, lookout for the plaza sign or you'll miss it and end up in the intersection where it's too busy to make a left. There's an abundance in parking for all the businesses in the plaza.

The service was great and our server was amazing. The ambiance was a little bar feeling with lots of wood tables which I liked. Now let's get to the food.. Pork buns: the pork was cooked perfectly and the bun was nice and soft. The sauce went well everything and it's a great starter dish. Spicy Kimchi Ramen- this consists of pork belly, pickled mushrooms, kimchi and fried garlic. The ramen was really good and had a lot of flavor with just the right amount of spice from the kimchi. Perfect for a cold day! Colonel Sanders Ramen- this had a pork broth with fried chicken and was delicious and moist. Also had corn with Vermont butter which you can taste through the bowl. This dish was the highlight for me and I'll definitely be back again. If you're in Salem, MA and are craving ramen then be sure to give this place a try.

After seeing the price of the wood-fired pizzas and their actual size as they came out of the oven and were delivered to tables around us, my friend and I decided to stick with the Kokeshi side of things. We ordered an appetizer of Shishito peppers, which were outstanding: I did not know what to expect and whether they would be spicy or not, but these were perfectly roasted with soy, ginger, and scallions. I would 10 out of 10 order these again. For my main dish I ordered the spicy white kimchi ramen, which had Tokyo wavy noodles, roasted pork belly, cilantro, corn, spicy marinated mushrooms, scallions, fried garlic, and cilantro oil. Wow! What a flavor combination! From savory to spicy to sweet to smooth to crunchy and crispy. Overall it was a pretty perfect meal. In terms of the atmosphere, we sat at a high table in the middle of the restaurant, which gave it a more family atmosphere vibe, sitting right next to others. What I particularly loved was the 90s hip-hop soundtrack playing in the background. Notably, it was not blaring loud so that you had to yell to hear the person across from you (always a pet peeve of mine at restaurants). Our server was friendly and checked on us often to make sure we had everything we needed. This was my first trip to Kokeshi but it will not be my last, as it has become my new favorite restaurant in Salem.
