Apparently it's popular, so you either need to go early or luck out. The cream puffs and cookies are great, but I finally got a kouign amann. It's a lovely pastry. The sugar/thin layer of caramel on the top is substantial without being too thick. Just enough to hold and break apart. The laminated dough is nice as well. Not overly buttery, but still light and fluffy.

I've only gone early-mid mornings on the weekend and everything I've had tasted super fresh, but some of the other experiences I'm reading feel like what happens when I reheat some older ones I kept in the fridge.
