The decor was so fun and the drinks were insta worthy! Marshal was the highlight of our visit! He really made our experience unique, fun, and full of laughs. It looked fun and cute. I was there with two teens so we didn't get drinks. Two of the three meals ordered were very good. Skip the cheese quesadilla. It was exactly as described, so that's on me, it just wasn't worth it. Our problem was service. They seated us quickly, and brought water around. We weren't ever offered drinks, but decided to stick with water once we figured out they weren't going to ask. It took a solid 90 mins from being seated to getting our food. After about an hour, they sent out a little bowl of fries as an apology for the wait. (We hadn't been complaining...staff had stopped by a couple of times mentioning that the kitchen was backed up and one of those time, dropped by with fries.). That was appreciated! When food came out, one of the entrees was the wrong one entirely. They eventually got the right one out. My son enjoyed his pasta dish...is was very tasty. And his friend enjoyed the Nutella waffle. Was excited to try this place out till all went down hill. First thing that goes wrong was that the waitress accidentally dropped water and it landed on my partners clothes. Accidents happen, I get it, and waitress did apologize. What upset me was that they moved us to a dirty table next to it and left a wet floor sign on top of the water. No attempt to mop it. No manager to check and see if we needed napkins or dry rags. I could not stand the tables being so sticky and dirty, the one person cleaning them sat with their phone to talk right next to us. I don't know how this place runs when it's busy. Definitely not recommending or going back. Two stars for the attempt of making it a fun place for the kids. We wanted a kid friendly sit down place after a long day at MOA. Absolutely the wrong choice with this place. We should have planned better for food options and read some reviews before our trip. Floors were dirty to a point our 4 yr old commented. Chicken in the quesadilla had no seasoning and flavor. When I asked for mustard for my $20 burger, I was given yellow mustard packets similar to if I ordered to go at a fast food restaurant. Milk shake was fine but we didn't get it till after the check was handed to me and had to remind the waitresses twice. There is just so much my $ could have gone to than this place. This place is so COOL! E went to the Mall of America to check it out and before we even walked around, this place drew us in. Great music, fun atmosphere and unique. The shake- OMG, you have to get one! Delicious, absolutely delish. Note the donut and cupcakes were just okay, but the shake itself was great. My partner and I went there for our anniversary and received poor Customer service with the bartender. Waited 15 minutes for them to order our drinks then waited another 15-30 minutes for our food to be ordered after we finished our drinks. The whole time she was just talking to other servers and customers instead of helping us. Communication was horrible. Had to called for her and asked if she received the correct order and ordered our food. All she said was that she over heard us and just took our order without letting us know that she did. I haven't been to Sugar Factory MOA in over 6 months, so I was shocked this visit in how far it has fallen in quality. (previous visit summer 2022, this visit Feb 2023). First of all, I get that inflation is a thing. But seriously, the menu adjustments are horrendous. The onion rings used to come on a ceramic serving platter with a side of special sauce. This visit, no sauce, and they come in a paper tray like your kid would get a single serving of tots in at the school cafeteria. The "skinny fries" were being subbed with steak cut. We weren't informed. When our order came to the table, that's when we discovered this limp and mushy substitute. And what used to be a shareable sized basket portion, is now the single serve size I mentioned above for onion rings. The rainbow burgers used to be a higher quality, smash style patty. Now they're a pre-formed patty that's hard after cooking. And they didn't even include the rubber duck - half the reason you pay $25 for the plate, because the kids want the duck. Ice cream shakes come in a canning jar sized mug now. Half the size they used to be. And if they're out of a decorative candy topping, they don't tell you ahead of time - it just comes out missing half of what you paid (almost $20) for. Heck, they didn't even put a straw in, I had to ask for one ... that took another 10 minutes to arrive. There were no napkins or silverware on the tables. Our food was dropped without asking if we needed anything, and every server in the house would break eye contact when we were trying to get help. I finally went up to the staff station and started to self serve - even then, I had to butt in to their personal conversation to ask for some appetizer plates. Honestly, this visit made me sad. I used to enjoy this restaurant. Now, I can't say I'll be back any time soon. read more

We came here a year ago when it was not an express and it was an amazing experience! I put a picture of the Cookie Monster shake we had back then, for a comparison. But today, my boyfriend and I decided to go again. We were excited but we did not know it was an express, now. Because it's an express, all of the shakes are much smaller. The prices of them did get a bit lower. However, I don't think it was worth it. The shake we first ordered was the Oreo Madness. The name was an absolute joke. This place, with all of the colors, extra desserts with shakes, and the giant alcohol drinks made me expect a cookies and cream shake with a lot of Oreos, Cookies and Cream Hersheys (which it said it had), and Oreo cookie crumbs on rim. However, this one looked like a chocolate shake. With chocolate hershey, chocolate muffin, and a chocolate shake inside a mason jar, we thought we got the wrong order. We asked and the server mentioned they made it wrong. It was supposed to have Cookies and Cream shake inside. They also failed to inform us they don't have Cookies and Cream Hersheys to put on top. They just decided to put regular ones. So we decided to get the Cookie Monster instead. This Cookie Monster was much smaller than the one we got last year. Look at photo for comparison. (Although we took off the muffin, cookie, and donut on top) The cookies and cream shake was delicious. But that was the only thing that was good. The donut and muffin was bleh. Cookie was good. It was still $18/$19 for the drink though! To me, it's not worth the price. It was worth it if you got the big one. If you want Cookies and Cream shake, just get the Cookie Jar or a regular shake. So overall, it was a disappointment. I wanted to post this review as a warning that the "Express" differs in shake sizes when it comes to their crazy shakes. It is much different now from before. So beware. Still a great place but don't get the Oreo madness unless you don't want Oreos. Get the Cookie Monster if you don't mind the smaller size. She replied with "everything is very sweet here." I think the franchise should expand their repertoire of drinks to include a few "sweet but not too sweet drinks" including fun drinks that are smaller than a goblet size but not a martini. I would've loved a ^insert juice here -mimosa with a random candy and a dry ice pellet for instagram. The goblets remind me of a fishbowl from college, enough to share with others. The service was slow. I don't even know who my server was. There was a guy walking around with a laptop in denim jeans that appeared to be someone important but undercut the staff by telling me they need to get it together. I secretly just wanted an instagrammable photo with a dry ice drink but the goblet's "sugar factory" logo was half scratched off.... I'm trying to figure why because the restaurant has been in operation for less than a month. Also one thing that stood out to me was an outdated photo of Kylie Jenner pre-face surgery. After eating at the Sugar Factory in Chicago I could not wait for the MOA location to open. We saw the sign that they were coming and got excited. However, after a year with no opening date we began to wonder if it would still happen..... then we saw a now hiring sign. Just a few weeks later they were open. We made a reservation for the earliest time for a party of 3 on 11/22. Our reservation was at 11pm! We got there and the music was overwhelmingly loud. To the point where we could barely hear each other. I had a basic quesadilla that was good. The kiddo had the regular burger and hubby had the breakfast burger. They both said the burgers were flavorless, but the fries were good. We ordered spinach artichoke dip as well. After requesting the chips that were supposed to come with it we had to send the dip back. It was disgusting. We then opted for the deep fried Oreos for dessert. After waiting 15 minutes our server came and told us they turned the grills off and wouldn't make it. Night over.... This place has some amazing drinks and the drink menu is offered in alcoholic and non-alcoholic versions of each. The drinks and shakes are delicious but a little on the sweet side, it's not called SUGAR factory for no reason. The monster burgers and club sandwich were amazing, but the chicken Alfredo penne was too lemony and salty, but definitely needed some more sauce it was dry. We visited this location back in September, our experience was less than I would have expected for a $100 bill, plus $30 tip (our server was amazing, but that was the only good part.) I received a call from the GM Camile offering to make it right based on my previous review. I've tried to contact her 3 times, leaving a voicemail each time and she has yet to "make it right". Came back into town to visit family and decided to take my god daughter here for lunch. I've been to the Vegas location a few times so I was excited to be able to take my god daughter here for some fun beverages and food. I don't know how long this location has been open but it was disappointing to know there was so many unavailable goblets beverages. We also were seated at the smaller round tables so it was a little right when ordering a milkshake and our meals. Service was slow and the restaurant was not full. We ordered the Strawberry French Toast and the Sliders, both were tasty. We initially wanted to order the Nutella Crepes but was told the pastry chef did not have it available. The store connected is very small. This location seems to be much smaller than the Vegas and Cali locations. I definitely recommend the branded chain for drinks and desserts. This location could focus on service more and being properly stock on their food orders. It's disappointing to dine somewhere and wanting to order certain items and it's not available. Overall, the Sugar Factory restaurant is great and typically does not disappoint on food and service. This particular location could use improvement. read more

Updated 22/8/19- Stopped in here again with some friends that were visiting. Again just ordered drinks. Tried another drink, which was great. The bartender was fantastic. I also watched the bartender make a couple of martinis, and they were at least double to triple the size of your typical 007 type martini. I saw two milkshakes being made which were enormous, and over-the-top. I still haven't tried the food, but this place can't be beat for extravagant drinks. I noticed a few kids ordering the milkshakes. I will definitely be trying one of those when I stop in again. Tip: you can get the drinks without alcohol. Drinks are big enough to share. Because this just opened it's busy. If possible avoid the weekends. The bar staff were very friendly. We only had drinks. Our drink was about 60oz of liquid and 9 oz. of rum. $32 for any of these drinks. Very good. read more

However from the start, didn't start off with a good impression. The host stood there chatting to another staff member and took a bit before turning back to us and sitting us down. The menu has amazing drinks and desserts of course! We ordered the sampler platter and the mini sliders were juicy, tender and delicious. The rest were decent, nothing to rave about. I ordered the tomato bisque and it was supposed to come with garlic crostini but it didn't so had to ask for it. I do like a good dunk in my soup! The rest of the food came out decently fast. The burgers were super juicy and delicious. The only dissatisfaction was the Cheesy burger patty that came out was pretty much rare in the middle. The shrimp Alfredo was creamy and topped with big delicious garlic shrimp and was a big portion! I would say the food were overall decent..go there for their burgers and if you are going for dessert...either have a table of people to share with you or you better be a competitive eater! The portions that I eyed out coming from the kitchen were massive and I could see the leftovers from other tables for dessert and their drinks. Lol! We did get the Cookie Monster make a wish milkshake and that was a joy for the kiddo! Comes with a candle to blow and a donut. When we arrived at the location they hadn't opened yet but once they did we were asked by Camille the GM if we wanted to sit at the bar and my daughter and I were okay with it so we went to take a seat at the bar. We loved the decor and the staff seemed friendly. My daughter ordered a burger and fries, and I had the steak and lobster surf and turf and subbed the steak for chicken. I also ordered a strawberry Cadillac reposado margarita. The drink came out as a normal glass with ice and candy in it until the bartender brought the drink and poured it inside. Once the contents were poured inside the drink started smoking and bubbling. The food came out and it looked perfect. I do have to say I was a little disappointed that the lobster and chicken were overcooked and were a little tough. The customer service was wonderful and the drinks and my daughter's food were as well so for that I'll give 4 stars. read more

We shared the rainbow sliders, the buns are huge compared to the tiny hamburgers. It came with two blow pops instead of a duck, but that worked out for us. I also didn't care for hearing an employee telling their child to "eat their damn chicken tenders" in the candy shop. Candy shop is closed on the side of the mall but open in the restaurant side. Been planning a visit for more than a year. Finally got there today during a biz trip. It was a funny but poor experience. We ordered the blue cloud, two diff martinis, the factory club and a margarita flatbread. The cloud bowl drink was entertaining but made a sticky mess all over the table when the server poured it too hastily. The martinis were stiff and decent. But honestly none of the drinks were worth the $38, or $20 each we paid for the martinis. I've had much better elsewhere for much cheaper. The club sandwich was made with American cheese not cheddar. It was one of the worse clubs. No pickle. The fries were the best thing we ate, and we finished those. The flatbread was barely cooked, couldn't taste the basil. We didn't finish our food. I got a take out box but ended up throwing it all away before I got to the car. I didn't want to have to eat anymore of that flavorless sad food. Honestly still glad we went.
