I honestly don't think there's a better cheesecake shop that I've encountered anywhere in my travels. The staff is generally very helpful and welcoming, with Lindsy in particular being a consistent standout at the front register over the years. I've been a loyal customer for a long time and have easily spent thousands of dollars on Hank's cheesecakes for both personal celebrations and professional events. The product itself has always been worth every penny. That said, I was disappointed to learn of the new policy charging $2 simply to slice a cheesecake. When purchasing a $25-$400+ cheesecake, an additional fee for a task that takes roughly 20 seconds feels unnecessary and, frankly, a bit off-putting. While I understand that rising costs are impacting businesses everywhere, this type of nickel-and-diming can feel discouraging--especially to long-standing, repeat customers who have consistently supported the business. Hank's Cheesecake remains exceptional, and the product is second to none. I hope management reconsiders this policy, as it slightly detracts from what has otherwise been an outstanding customer experience for many loyal patrons.

The Baileys heart absolutely met my expectations; the flavors were perfect and it wasn't too sweet. It was just a higher cream-to-cake ratio, and I would've loved for it to be a more even split because the cake was so light and fluffy. My partner ordered their tray of cinnamon rolls, which were a pretty good deal. His feedback was that he couldn't quite nail the reheating instructions and they came out hard every time, but he genuinely enjoyed them as is without any reheating. With a good personality, That being said; she unleashed her fury on me, one of the angriest most condescending messages I had ever read. Not sure if I caught her on a bad day or she just doesn't handle feedback well. I was stunned and disappointed. Either way, I would never consider stepping foot into her bakery ever again. Her window has maybe 5 things to choose from. It's pretty sad, but there were 2 items I love love loved, and I drove out of my way and paid top dollar for those items. She's by far one of the most expensive bakeries in St. Louis, but I enjoyed supporting her I thought she was great. And she has a moving story. It made the whole experience even more enjoyable. Our waitress was wonderful--very attentive and friendly. We must have been on the same wavelength because every time I asked for her opinion between two choices, she picked the exact one I was already leaning toward without me telling her. Her recommendations were spot on! We both ordered the trio, which allows you to choose three items from a selected menu. We each started with the white chili, and it was perfect for the cooler summer day. It was warm, comforting, and full of flavor. For my main dish, I chose the turkey melt on a croissant. The croissant was flaky, buttery, and absolutely delicious. I'm trying to cut back on carbs, but that plan went out the window because it was just too good. It was the perfect little escape before summer ends and school starts back up.
