I almost always get the Wake Up Burrito, which is loaded and satisfying, but I've heard great things about the breakfast sando, chilaquiles, and pancakes from friends too. The space has a cool, artistic vibe, the staff is welcoming, and it's the kind of place you want to linger at with a second cup of coffee. Whether you're a local or visiting, put this on your list!

Of the 10 friends only two said the food was OK. The rest were very disappointed. My food arrived 45 minutes to an hour after everyone else's my burger was raw and I had ordered it well done. I took one bite and threw it away. When Management came to ask how everything was I deferred to my other family members because I did not want to complain then they specifically ask me and I was honest. Instead of offering to comp or refund my meal, they offered to remake my burger, but we had already been there for 70 minutes and it took 55 for my burger to come out. They brought me a beet juice which was delicious. I just sold my café four months ago in Montana and anytime a customer was not completely satisfied. I comped their meal or reimbursed them for the purchase price. I love the people here. I love the concept, but today was a complete disappointment and I know nine people will probably never return.

Oddly enough, as much as I'm in the area I had never noticed this place. We checked online. You can order online and pick it up so perfect. Order placed. ETA given. Walk to pick it up. They place your order in a bag with your name on it at the door. You don't have to speak to anyone. Perfect! Walking up to this place feels like you're transported to another dimension. It doesn't feel like Louisville at all. The place was busy. Atmosphere was inviting. I could definitely hang out there while I eat. I'll try some more of their dishes but I do have a few things to note. The cost: It's downtown so an expectation of higher prices is expected. They do give you a decent portion size but with other options and the ultimate option of bringing your lunch with you, it's going to be hard for me to revisit this place in the future. I do hope I can give their breakfast a try if I'm down there early enough. Even with their breakfast, it better be DOUBLE GOOD because the PNC building has breakfast nearby and you can have an excellent breakfast there for 5-10 bucks. The food: Achiote Chicken Taco Bowl - White rice. Achiote Chicken Thigh. Diced tomato. Monterrey jack cheese. Sour Cream. Tortilla Chips. Avo smash. Cilantro. Charred pepper ranch. It was good but nothing really stuck out about it. Bites had flavor but eventually it turned into a bland dish. I ended up saving it for later time leftovers... but when trying to eat it later on in the day, it had that same bland taste that developed. I think the biggest issue with it was all the smashed avocado. It definitely didn't need so much. It ended up overpowering all the other flavors. It's a good spot to change it up from other options downtown but I can't rave about it until I come across my 'go-to' dish here at some point.

It's creative with a sense of joy, irreverent, one of a kind. And I'm happy to see it last in its spot next to Slugger Field. I got to visit recently when a bunch of friends were in town. We ended up visiting during trivia night, which added a fun twist to the experience. Our team, The Electric Sheep, got second place! And along with the fun vibes, we had great food and beer. I got The Smokehouse OG, which is its pulled pork sandwich served on a Cuban roll. If you like pulled pork, you'll like this sandwich, though typical to their fashion, AtG puts a twist on it with its Brown Note BBQ Sauce. We had to get the pork belly on a stick -- a menu fave. And for my beer, I tried the El Nopal Mexican lager (cracked up at the name) and Cold Ass Beer red ale. AtG is a Louisville original that's not to be overlooked.

I got the burger in special, the Dirty Burger. Pretty standard burger dressed with their "not so secret" sauce and fancy pickle. Super solid, very well executed. In the words of Samuel L. Jackson, this is a tasty burger! The location is pretty tough to beat with how convenient it is, and how close it is to all downtown has to offer. The atmosphere is industrial but relaxed. The staff was so wonderful and personable. Will definitely be back!

We ordered the Trio of Guacamole and they were all fantastic. I ordered an Oaxaca Old Fashioned. The presentation was crazy. It smoked and bubbled. When we arrived we had a brief wait before we checked in, and were seated on the second level. Our server was excellent, our service was quick and he was always around without hovering. It was bitter cold outside so instead of my usual margarita ($14+) I opted for a beer ($6). We started with the salsa trio, one of my favorites with handmade assorted chips. It includes three salsas, somewhat spicy, sweet tomato and tomatillo - the spicy and sweet were my favorites. Next we ordered the tacos el carbon and carbon burrito - pricing is expensive! We both ordered our steaks medium rare. My tacos had a beautiful presentation, the meat came out on a skewer and smoking from the hot coals. All toppings were repeated on the plate. The steak was overcooked and tough though. Had a nice smoke to it, but very chewy. My husband enjoyed his burrito but wasn't the best he's ever had. They also had a mariachi band walk around but they had "tips" all over their instruments and clothes. Overall we had a nice meal but the price point doesn't equal the food quality.

Five stars, no notes. I love this place…read more The staff is so welcoming, funny, and great at what they do. Every time I have a cocktail it is delightfully balanced. I think my cocktail was called the Tokyo Pop? Not positive but you have to get it. Gin, bubbles, sake, and a hint of lemon in a flute glass. Refreshing, a hint of sweet, a hint of lemon, and extremely drinkable. It would be too easy to throw a ton of these back. But I was demure and had one. I enjoyed the calamari--my go-to here. Crispy, with a bit of heat from pickled peppers, a bit a of sweet form a sweet glaze, and a nice herby zing from mint, herbs, and scallions. They also top the calamari with a a nice portion of greens dressed in a lemon vinaigrette, making this appetizer feel close to a light meal. I am absolutely obsessed with the ponzu mayo that comes on the side. An absolutely delightful touch. I also enjoyed the chocolate cream pot. Talk about decadent. I love that it is served with berries, because you need that tartness to balance out the richness. Fully indulgent. Bonus points: I working fireplace. (And holiday decor still up--this never bothers me.) The ambiance is always lovely, with something iconic on the TV always playing. This spot is one of my fave representation of the Louisville food scene.
