Then there's a "coffee bar" with a variety of the usual suspects if cappuccino, Espresso, Americanos etc. Apparently there is a bakery in the front but nothing appeared to be labeled. They have fresh squeezed orange juice but it only comes in one size. There are no "eggs" on the menu just a collection of omelettes. So I'm down to two stars cause the omelette I ordered, the Mexican omelette, came with chorizo and peppers... probably some other stuff but I can't abide brown eggs! STOP! The decor is very cute. When my daughter and I walked in at 3pm on Saturday we were excited to try it. First I needed to use the ladies room. An employee needed it more than I and stayed in there for about 10 minutes. She came back - and didn't explain anything about the menu or how things work. There are mainly breakfast things on the menu along with fancy coffee and ice cream drinks. I ordered a chicken avocado sandwich and a banana malt, my daughter ordered French toast and an Oreo milkshake. The sandwich was dry and weird with maybe 2 ounces of plain chicken. Some strange spongy white cheese was on it too. 0 stars. The French toast looked lovely but tasted weird and was disappointing. 1 star. We got our food at different times. Nobody checked back to see if we needed anything or how the food was. The malt was plain and I didn't finish it. The Oreo shake was by far the best part of our visit! Lots of garnishes and tasted good! Expensive lunch and we walked out hungry. I recommend to only go for a dessert or hot chocolate / coffee drink if you're in the area. So disappointed, two hours from seating down to leaving with 3 people, 2 of which was kids. They had two large groups today so I understood the initial delay. But people that sat down way after us had food - as we still waited for drinks. The experience: Sat down and they asked what we wanted, said I was still looking at the menu but I would like to order my drinks. Got one black coffee, one hazelnut latte, and one hot chocolate (simple) for the youngest. They asked if that was all we wanted I said we still needed to look for food. They mentioned no, we have to order all at once. Misunderstanding I guess, no big deal. So we quickly looked and ordered. They repeated the order back and 1/2 the order was messing. We re-ordered a few more time times before it was repeated correctly. Simple order, Strawberry Nutella crepes, savory ham crepe, small bowl of fruit. Coffee came out in 5 minutes, cool, fine. Waitress came over 20 minutes later to ask if we wanted the special topping on the hazelnut latte, my daughter said yes. Five minutes after that the hot chocolate came out with the special toppings (we needed that to be simple), 10 minutes later the latte came normal. Remember the waitress asked if we wanted the special toppings. Didn't matter, came out normal. 30-40 minutes still no food. Finally my daughters hazelnut crepes came out. 10 minutes later her 1/2 sister finally got her simple bowl of fruit. It's been an hour. Way after all of that a dish comes to the table and it was not mine but the table next to us that just down. Finally my food came out last. I asked for silverware and refill of coffee as no one asked if I wanted more or checked on us. I asked for silverware again, and a 3 rd time for silverware before they finally remembered. 10-15 minutes between for each plate of food or drink. Over an hour. The apologized for the delay that was due to the large tables. However repeatedly asking for silverware and new tables getting complicated dishes as you wait is unacceptable. Finally I asked for a to go cup for the kids drinks. The waitress had someone else come to the table to see what we needed, I just need two to go cups. Why does a upper management need to come by for that? I never got my refill, it didn't have another hour to kill. Super disappointed. The food was not bad, not the best, but the overall wait and waitress that was unavailable, and couldn't get the order right, was just not worth it when we have a dozen other options. This place is located in a small mall but it doesn't feel that way when you enter. You are greeted by welcoming staff, have the option to be seated in some well-lit window seats or a cozy booth. The decor here is beautiful featuring a lot of work from Frida Kahlo adding to the beauty of this place. I observed many of the other tables here enjoying their breakfast and having a good time. We started with some patatas Bravas which was a crispy potato appetizer paired with some flavorful dipping sauces. The entrees were of great portion and prize. I have tried every cafe in Naperville/Aurora area and I have never seen a more intricate preparation and selection of drinks. I am a coffee lover so I'm so excited to try out all of their creations. I asked what was the significance behind the Frita Kahlo art and pictures on the walls and he said he found her story very interesting. One star knocked off because they need a more descriptive menu saying what the differences are between many of their similar items (e.g., chocotella waffle vs Nutella waffle).
