I went last week with my mom and little sister to prepare for a wedding that was happening out of the country and they got great service! My experience was okay during the pedicure part and then just went downhill during the manicure part. I was getting a French manicure and asked the lady is she could even out my pointer finger because it was obviously slanted (it still is) and after she filed the shorter side down even more instead of the longer side, I gently tried to ask again and she told me that my nail was just like that and I wouldn't notice when the polish was placed on (I have gotten my nails done many times and never ran into this issue, and my finger isn't crooked). She moved onto the left hand and all of my nails were filed crookedly with the left side of the nail higher than the right. She looked at me like I was crazy and annoying when I asked her to fix it before painting my nails! I eventually gave up on caring if they were even and just wanted to go home, hoping that they looked fine in pictures. turns out it didn't matter if they were even because the polish started chipping the very next day and I didn't have time to get them fixed before flying out. This is them 2 days after getting them done-- very disappointed in my experience. read more

First time experience, respectfully do not recommend. The man who did my nails was an older gentleman. He was very rough with my hands and constantly cut me with the machine and the filer. I showed him a picture of what I wanted and did not get anywhere near what I wanted. A Second Gentleman much younger tried to fix his mistake but my nails were not good or near as good as I hoped for I paid $95 for both pedicure and full set. The best manicure experience of my life thus far! Three words: quality, efficiency, and hospitality. Quality. I'm absolutely in love with my nails! I don't get them done often at all (very much a boring short nails type of girl) and this was definitely a treat. I'm really big on cuticle care and my tech (I think his name was David) was super meticulous in trimming them and shaping my nails as well! I opted for a pretty pinky nude chrome color and it's absolutely wicked. A nice twist (and big of bling!) to my usual bland nails! This was actually the first time I didn't find a single flaw in my nails that were done by someone else. He got every side and every corner. Absolutely floored. Efficiency. We were in and out within ~25- 30mins and that's with gel and everything! They were so quick yet precise. Really appreciated how everything was no frills. Everyone was focused on getting the job done and getting us the best results. Hospitality. We called around ~30mins before we came in and they were nothing, but gracious about accommodating us! They also scoped out our vibe in terms of talkativeness, which was so different from every other salon experience I've had. I'm definitely not much of a talker, so they matched that and everything felt very comfortable with no forced small talk. We forgot to bring cash on this visit and they accepted Venmo! Super easy and convenient. Overall such a great visit! I know this experience isn't ideal for everyone, but if you really value efficiency and aren't a fan of small talk, would recommend! read more

The lady who did my pedicure was great and I like my French tips but the guy who did my manicure left me very disappointed. I went in asking for a fresh set but instead they suggested I get a fill (I'm assuming to save himself some time and squeeze a few more last minute appointments in after me before they closed). He rushed through my nails and did a terrible job was also rude if I pointed out something I didn't like. The polish and acrylic is all bumpy and uneven, each nail is a different shape and thickness, I've had them for only three days and one is already broken off, the arch of the white polish of the french tip looks shakily done I almost never write bad reviews but it's so frustrating when you get conned into spending over 100$ and then they do a rushed through overall sh*tty job. Sugar Nail Lounge is my go to spot to get my nails done. I moved away for awhile but now I am back nearby and started going again. Kevin is my go to guy and he is great at shaping and details. I like to get coffin acrylic gel nails and they do a pretty good job here. The two last times I went I paid $56 for some with detail and $48 for a fill without details. Kevin did my acrylic full set with ombré for $50 which I think is really reasonable considering the ombré, and Rose did my Deluxe pedicure for $32. They do have a more basic pedicure option without callus remover for $27. I also appreciate they use a timer for the massage, because some places give a less than 2 minute massage when they claim it's 5+ minutes. Both Kevin & Rose were very patient and kind to double check the length and shape of my nails, and Rose cut extra when I requested and was very patient when I was unsure of my polish color choice. They played nice music and had a couple TVs running. The salon is also well air-conditioned which I appreciated during this heat wave. I went on a Tuesday morning, so it was pretty quiet, but I would imagine they'd be very busy on weekends or evenings. read more

I've been wanting to try this salon for a while now, I have a packed week and needed to get pedicure and manicure for an event on Saturday. I called in the morning and they had availability the same day. Cindy did my feet and did a great job in about 45 minutes. While Cindy was doing my feet another tech started on my manicure. This place is local to me and I've driven by it for years and never stopped in. Finally, decided to go in as a walk in and wished that I didn't because I left with a bill of $173 later (not including the tip!) it was a complete rip off and way overpriced for the quality of the place. We came in for two regular pedicures and two gel manicures. They are an older place, which is fine but you'll pretty much over pay for your services and get confused what's going on as to a language barrier as to what they're offering/doing to you. Also, be very careful and clear with what services you get here and make sure to confirm the pricing before they begin anything. Quality of the work wasn't very good either and one of the nail ladies cut my friends toe so bad because in her opinion my friend had an ingrown nail, which she didn't and even if she did she would like to have been asked/warned before the worker attempted to remove it. They also over painted the cuticles and didn't paint the edges so the gel started chipping and coming off far before a weeks time. read more

I came to him with so many crazy design ideas like marble and others and he is able to create it so beautifully. He creates the shape that I want with acrylics. I can be really picky especially how clean my nails look after. Kevin is very detailed and makes sure that my real nail underneath is kept clean after a fill and the shape of my acrylic is absolutely perfect. I was visiting my family in HB for the day and decided to stop in to get a new set of Gel-X extensions and a pedicure. I looked up reviews on this salon and heard good things, also combined with the fact that it was down the street from my destination appealed to me. I was able to get a same day appointment and when I arrived, I was seated immediately. The salon itself wasn't bad, but wasn't great; definitely outdated and not super clean. While I was getting my toenails cut and filed, the tech stopped when her appointment walked in. It was awkward as she seemed to have forgotten about her client coming in and left me to attend to her. Another technician stepped in to take over, but she didn't seem to thrilled as it took her away from her break. My biggest issue here is with their Gel-X extensions and how my tech handled my experience. While she was using the mechanical file to buff out my nails, she was so rough that she burnt my nails 4 times. Each time I pulled my hand back or would say that it's too hot/sensitive and she would giggle and shrug it off. She also never changed the towels she was working over and I had my old nails splayed out across the table and my lap. Nail dust was also everywhere and she never dusted it off or prepped my nails with an alcohol wipe. Once all was said and done, my nails were mediocre at best, but i had already been in the chair for almost 2 hours and wanted to get on with my day. Once I got home, I had polish and clear gel all over my fingers that I had to peel off with tweezers and also noticed that some nails were crooked and unevenly shaped. Fast forward to 3 days later and 2 of my nails are already lifting and falling off. Kindly note that I have had many sets of Gel-X that always last at least 3-4 weeks without lifting, peeling or chipping. After 2 hours and $130 later, I would definitely not recommend this place. I will definitely not be coming back here or suggest it to those I know in the area. Save your money and go somewhere else! read more
