She's extremely detail-oriented, gives an amazing foot massage, and has such a fun, positive personality that makes every appointment enjoyable. The only thing I wish customers were more mindful of is keeping the salon atmosphere relaxing. Tren or Tran, is rude, unprofessional is not certified. I removed almost all of my nails that Helen did last week. I had a few more to remove so I went in. I wasn't going to say anything regarding the set of nails Helen did last week. Tren, left a thin layer left on my nail bed and she thought it was removed completely, however it wasn't. Helen, does not pay attention to detail. I asked Helen, for almond shape last week. I went in and paid $121.00 plus the cost of gel and pedicure and they were uneven, too pointy, they looked more claw like if anything. They clearly are not Certified! Some of the staff are rude. I feel like you have to be really careful coming here. I usually come here for a pedi which they do great at but this time I also made an appointment over the phone for a gel-x soak off, nothing more and I really wish I just waited to go to my normal nail girl to soak them off because they completely destroyed my perfectly healthy nails. While I was getting my pedi I had to remind them 4 times that I also wanted a soak off. I kept saying soak off and had 3 different manicurists come over and look at my nails and try to convince me just to cut them shorter. I've already had these nails on for 5 weeks and just wanted them off but boy do I wish I waited. I was finally seated with Helen where she proceeded to drill off all my nails in about 6 minutes. At first I didn't think anything of it because before a soak off you usually drill off the top coat, I should've realized what she was doing when she told me "it's going to hurt to take them off". I'm usually not one to leave such a bad review but I've honestly still been experiencing negative things with my nails since this service. At this point it's been 2 weeks since my nail removal and I've been left rings of fire on all my nails with thin, brittle fingernails that are bendy and keep breaking deep into my nail beds and I also still have gel-x residue on my nail tips I would've preferred if she denied doing the service if she didn't have time to perform the service that I made an appointment for the correct way. I thought that maybe she was in a rush to leave work but then she started on a full mani on someone else after me. I would've posted more photos of my nails but I'm honestly embarrassed by how bad they look. There are definitely better places to go read more

I have been going to this salon regularly for 2 years (Surf City 2 prior to the move) The last 3 visits the quality has gone way down. New employees and they do a bad job and are rough, have cut my daughter twice where she bled. We hung in there because we liked the people and price. Yesterday, I took my daughter for a mani/pedi and had a nail that was breaking so asked for it to be fixed. Tina painted the nail a completely different color, despite my insistence to let me look for and get the correct color. She had no interest in fixing the issue and expected me to be ok with this hideous situation. I can't believe she thought it would be ok to have 1 nail a completely different color. Got an immediate toe infection. At the time of the pedicure I told her she was hurting me and it turns out she cut me and it's oozing (24hrs later). I'm disappointed, I went to get a pedicure to help my feet not I'm limping around. I'm not sure if all of the technicians even have a cosmetology, license or aesthetician license or if they're just working under the table under one license. read more

I got a pedicure and dip powder i went to the massage chair like usual for the pedicure and they moved me and had me sit in a regular chair where you get the nails done and was not comfy at all. my water for my feet was cold. The lady started on my nails and she asked me what shape I wanted, but when she cut and shaped them she gave me a totally different shape than what I asked for. I have gone to this place four about 10 years and I have never really loved it. But its cheap and fast so I continue to go here for desperate times. But never again... My mom just got back from getting her eyebrows waxed and a huge piece of her eyebrow is gone. Yes, as in there is no hair there because they waxed it off. WHAT IDIOTS!!! She said that the lady waxing her eyebrows started to use a pencil and my mom thought that was odd and then she told her to look in a mirror far away to make sure they were fine. When my mom asked for the close up mirror the lady just pointed to the big mirror. Afterwards, my mom got her nails done by the owner of the store and she said NOTHING! What a way to run your business.... 1. Why didn't the lady tell her what happened and apologize? I understand mistakes happen but not to own up to them is complete BS especially at an establishment like this. 2. I came into today to get acrylics remove and get my eyebrows waxed. She ripped my natural nails in half and they look horrible. As far as my eyebrows, she left visible hairs underneath my eyebrows.
