The chili I got, while being cold, was good. However, no matter how good the food is, the women at the counter are the rudest people I have met in customer service. They acted like we were such an inconvenience to them meanwhile they charge a good amount of money for sandwiches and little desserts. Had the tuna stuffed avocado and the orange cranberry spinach salad. The tuna was nice and light but the salad needed more spinach. Overall enjoyable and would go back, but it was very crowded and noisy so not great for conversation. read more

Well I called and specifically asked for a sugar free cake for my diabetic wife who was in the hospital. Whoever answered said no problem. When I went to get the cake it was not sugar free. I was also told they didn't even do sugar free cakes. So part of my wifes birthday was kinda ruined. Anyways I asked if maybe they would discount it. The manager gave me $1.00 off. It was a joke!!!!! I gave them the $16.00 they wanted and left. Nobody at the store seemed to care at all that it was messed up. Also to top it off the cake is dry and chalky. I guess they screwed me twice. Came in for the bacon tomato quiche, broccoli cheese soup, and a turkey sandwich. All were excellent. Service was quick and friendly, the atmosphere was homey with pictures of family around, which was a nice touch. Place got busy for the lunch rush, but they seemed to expedite quickly. I'm new in town and stopped in for a treat one afternoon. The Mississippi Mud Brownie was delicious and they seemed to have a great variety of dessert options. The staff was really rude and couldn't care less about answering questions I had about the desserts. (They weren't labeled so it is anyone's guess what some of the goodies are.) The decor is beautiful and the place was just really pleasant otherwise. I will give them another chance in case someone was just having an off day, but if service is continually this poor I will not continue to patronize this establishment. Sugarbakers is one of my favorite places to go for lunch. They have really yummy chicken salad and quiche. It's a great place to meet up with some friends for a healthy lunch... then ruin it by indulging in the bakery. Their cookies, cupcakes, and pies are amazing. read more

Met a friend here for a quick chat, the noise level was irritating at best, a little chily environment but hot soup keeps the body warm. As wonderful as Sugarbakers is, I just had the most disappointing interaction with a staff member at the drive through window. There was some order confusion about what I thought I was ordering versus what I received, not a big deal, but the extremely rude and unapologetic attitude that I received in response to the confusion was jarring. I wasn't asking for a refund I simply stated that I thought that I was ordering something different. Then after the woman shut the window, she turned and loudly started complaining about the interaction with a co-worker. Not one time was I rude or disrespectful, just confused, and to rant about a customer while they are literally still sitting at the window is beyond unprofessional. If you don't like your job then find another one, but please do not be rude to your paying customer, and a frequent customer at that. I hope that this situation gets rectified. read more

Placed two orders from here. The first one I got a call back in seconds with a lady telling me I couldn't order a full sandwich with the pick 3 combo. That isn't made clear on the app and it actually allows the whole transaction to go through (meaning the money I was charged was taken out of my account and not returned for 5-7 business days) I asked her to then cancel the order and I would place another. I then placed an order for the sandwich I wanted asked for fruit instead of chips since there was no indication I couldn't. I was charged again. Then I got a call SECONDS after placing this second order. My phone died as I was trying to answer. Once I had charged my phone (5min max) I received another cancelation text. I called them back and they said that fruit was an extra charge. So all in all I was charged over $50 and I received nothing. They are sloppy with their app. Not clear at all. Very rude and inconsiderate to me as a customer considering they weren't thinking that I had already paid for the order and never told them to cancel it. I would've been fine paying extra if they would've allowed me. Impatient, rude, sloppy. I won't be attempting to order from this place any time soon. Definitely not until after I get my money back. read more

I ordered a lemon pound cake with a glaze on it last week for a birthday we were having today in our office. I picked it up and paid. Took it to the office and we had it for our 10am break. Not only was it NOT lemon, it was very thick and dry. I called to complain to the manager and he argued that the cake was the lemon bundt cake. I told him there was not a hint of lemon in the cake. He did offer to give my money back, I said no but I was disappointed and won't be back again. read more

DO NOT HAVE AN EVENT HERE! Went into Sugarbakers a month in advance to plan a baby shower for my sister. We were told punch in pitchers could be provided with finger sandwiches and cupcakes, HOWEVER, when I got there to set up they hadn't even made food for our party! They brought the sandwiches out for us but never returned with drinks! When we asked for the pitchers of punch they made all of our party come up to get fountain drinks in styrofoam cups and charged the drinks seperately to our tab. Everytime our party needed something I had to wait in line to ask for anything! The cupcakes were a HUGE disappointment. Dry, like they were 10 days old. The bill was WAY too much! I felt so sorry for my mom paying a bill like that for such terrible service. I will never go back! I can make a sandwich for way cheaper and make it way better, LOL! We just wanted a nice place for our large party to meet. read more
