Outstanding restaurant. Came in the family for the first time and we all were very impressed with everything about it. The atmosphere is great, food is fantastic, and bar service was also really great. They run with a thin staff, but they're very efficient. The dining experience overall is among the best around Rome, NY. We tried their fried cheese curds appetizer and it was delicious. There were 4 of us for dinner and we tried 4 different meals with everyone raving about how great their meals were. Loved it and will come back again!

Sugarbeets never disappoints. The wait staff is friendly and quickly make you feel at home. The restaurant was warm and cozy on a cold snowy night. The steak tips were amazing. The dessert, Pistachio cake, was melt in your mouth delicious. Can't wait to visit again

My Husband and I went to Sugarbeets for our 10 year Anniversary! Food was absolutely amazing, we couldn't decide on what to get for appetizers so we shared the lobster bisque, fresh Rome fried cheese curds, and the pickled beet salad! For dinner I ordered the Lucy Poulette it was in house made pasta with a a wonderful pesto sauce beautiful roasted tomatoes and a large fried chicken cutlet topped with roasted pine nuts! Just wow! My husband enjoyed his roasted red pepper chicken sandwich! We took a slice of beet cake home, and it was amazing! Cocktails were spot on! The atmosphere was just perfect for a night out with my husband, even a family gathering! The service was absolutely fantastic!

What an amazing addition to the Rome restaurant scene. We desperately needed more options than traditional Italian. Everything about Sugarbeets is spectacular. The service, the ambiance, the cocktails - and OHHHHHHH THE FOOD!!! I've been a fan since they opened, but recently brought out of town friends who are frequent travelers. They were blown away. Even my friend who never takes pics of her food has to snap a photo of how beautiful her salmon dish was. From appetizers to desserts, everything is perfection. Do not miss this gem!!

The food here is amazing. We drove from Syracuse and it was worth it. The staff is so friendly and attentive. The bar tender made us special drinks, blueberry margaritas. The outside patio is super cute. The inside wasn't open yet, but when I used the restroom I went it, it looks so cute. We will definitely go back

We were told that it wasn't going to be a prix fixe menu as we were a party of under 12 when the reservation was booked (we asked). It was. Selection was somewhat limited particularly for the vegetarians but the waitress said that they could swap veggies in for the trout in the risotto. They didn't. It was just risotto. Potato leek soup. So salty that it was inedible. Like sea water salty. Three of us sent it back. NY Strip. Boring and clearly hadn't been seasoned before cooking (ironic). Not quite cold but really, really close. A little tiny ramekin of chimichurri sauce which I was supposed it make it interesting or tasty I guess. It was neither. The whipped potatoes were delicious. Desert was a borderline interminable wait. And then they served gelato and sorbet to four of us. Think milkshake. A thin, runny milkshake, approaching soup. The food runners and waitress were so embarrassed they couldn't look at us when they dropped the desert and ran. Who lets ice scream, posing as soup out of the kitchen. It used to be a quaint little place with fantastic food ... And now, an overpriced, industrial'ish place with sub-par food (although the owners are clearly cashing out, leaning on its prior reputation). Unfortunate. $85 a head, $1,500 all in with drinks and tip.

Everything from the authentic sourdough bread, cider donut bread pudding was extremely memorable. We happen to be in there on St. Patrick's Day weekend, so while I don't think you'll be able to enjoy the corn beef on a regular basis, if it's any indication of the regular menu, it was stupendous. Not to mention the fact that the drinks were generous and we really appreciated the warm yet. Updated ambience. Kind of like, having a great babysitter, or Electrician. I hate to recommend Nola's too highly because I'm afraid we won't be able to just pop in next time. I would suggest reservations. Highly recommended.

We visited over the weekend with friends who had dined there previously. Our 6:30 reservation was honored promptly upon arrival. The village setting is quaint, and the restaurant itself is warmly decorated--upscale enough to feel special but still relaxed and approachable. After being seated, our server presented the drink menu and specials. Our friends ordered the fried green tomatoes as an appetizer, along with the Steak Nicholas and the double smash burger. My wife selected the seafood special--a blackened salmon with lobster salad--while I opted for the Steak Nicholas as well. The food arrived in a timely manner and was everything was very good. My steak was perfectly cooked, complemented by the house Worcestershire sauce and compound butter. The fried green tomatoes were also well-prepared. The only disappointment at the table was the brown butter cake our friends ordered for dessert, which they found dry and lacking freshness. Where the experience fell short, however, was service. While our server was polite, she was difficult to find at times, leading to long waits for assistance. There was also some confusion when boxing up leftovers. The most significant issue arose when it was time to settle the bill. Our total came to $260, and we requested separate checks. Unfortunately, our server seemed very flustered and unsure of how to split the bill, and after some back-and-forth, she suggested dividing it evenly. We agreed simply to avoid further delay. However, when processing payment, the card charge came to $153 before tip--well above the correct half of the bill (approximately $130). Combined with our friends' $200 cash payment, the total ended up being $380, which inadvertently resulted in a very large gratuity - something we didn't realize until we had left the restaurant, as the confusion surrounding how to split the bill was frustrating and we simply wanted to head out. While we take responsibility for not carefully resolving the issue before leaving, the confusion around the bill frustrated us in the moment and left a negative final impression on an otherwise enjoyable meal. Overall: The food was excellent and worth trying, particularly the Steak Nicholas and seafood offerings. That said, service and billing procedures could benefit from improvement to ensure a smoother dining experience.

Those moments stay with you forever, and last night experiencing the Turquoise Tiger was such a moment for me. The decor in this place is epic - it's a 1940s Jazz club with turquoise carpets, turquoise drapes, turquoise everything else, accented by black and pearlized white booths and wall treatments. Turquoise has always been my favorite color, and this only solidified it further. The crystal chandeliers hanging from the 25 foot ceilings pull it all together and transport you into a lost age of cocktailing and music. We ordered two of their specialty cocktails, the Hunny Bourbon and the Tequila Honey. To say they were both expertly crafted is an understatement. Perfect balance of booze to non booze, fresh ingredients, and made expertly by Mikayla and Breanna the friendly mixologists. The Tequila Honey was a variant on a margarita but with honey syrup which was beautifully executed. The Hunny Bourbon was essentially a Bees Knees that subbed bourbon for gin, a fantastic effort by their mixology team. I feel they can easily offer more smash hits like this to further their unique and all star cocktail lineup! You HAVE to check out their restrooms - that's the most fun you'll have in a restroom, I guarantee! I had envisioned my trip to turquoise tiger for the better part of 14 months and thought about it daily before I finally made it there last night.
