Life changing experience. I don't think I will ever go back to waxing again. I first heard of sugaring a few years ago when I was googling for waxing in Port Moody area. Sugaring Change popped up and I was intrigued. I never got the chance to try the place until recently. I decided to just try it as the waxer I like is on mat leave and the location is no longer convenient for me. My alternative waxer has changed her work schedule and I could not meet her timing. So Sugaring Change it is. This is the fastest Brazilian hair removal I ever had. I think I was done in 15-20 minutes. It was gentle, less painful (to me) than hard or soft wax. It was clean and best of all, no tweezing was done (not sure if it is commonly done anyway). I had my session with Danica and she was very patient in explaining the procedures and would let me know the products she would be using as I am sensitive to certain products. The place was nice, clean and quiet. You need to key in a code at the door to enter. I do not think there is a receptionist there at all times as I tried calling when I was there and there was no answer. To make an appointment, you will be better off doing it online or texting or at the desk. Parking at the underground garage is limited (I was told the 2 spots meant for them is usually taken up by staff), and it may be easier to find a spot on the street instead. Less painful than traditional wax. I enjoyed all my visits at Sugaring Change so far. I have seen a few girls here and they've both been fantastic! I make appointments a month in advance and I don't really care who I see. All women here are friendly and awesome. They get the job done. I was really unsure about whether or not I should go in for a Brazilian with the current pandemic, but I felt reassured by the glowing reviews that Sugaring Change has along with the the fact that they have you wait outside until it's time for your appointment. It was my first time at Sugaring Change and my first time getting professional sugaring as opposed to hard or soft wax (I'd gotten sugaring on my leg hairs and my back before but that was homemade). I was really impressed with out quickly Bernice worked while also keeping up conversation and making sure I felt comfortable. She left me to change in the room with a nicely packaged wet wipe in case I needed to clean the nether regions. The time it took for the Brazilian was maybe 20 minutes, and she even included the stomach trail, the leg crease between the vaginal area and the thigh, and the behind, which is all I could ask for and more in time for bikini season. The soothing clay mask after was fantastic, too. Normally, I break out after a wax--this is one of the few places that didn't cause me to break out at all. Definitely my new standard go-to now! Also, they don't have a receptionist, so if you call then you'll need to leave a voicemail and one of the lovely ladies will check for messages when they're done with a client. Thanks, Bernice! Spa like atmosphere. Very clean and a few fun items for sale in the reception area. Parking isn't generally an issue in this area which is a bonus. Chantelle was increadibly nice and easy to talk to. Having been a brazillian waxer for a while now I thought I would try out this new service in my area. Sugaring seems to be more hygenic, less/ no risk for cross contamination and it's more eco-friendly. It's also a bit more up close and personal, instead of a wood stick slapping wax on your bits the sugar needs to be molded onto the skin with hands and flicked off. At the end of the appointment you receive a mud mask for your lady bits which helps soothe then a warm towl wipe down to remove the mask and any sticky residue from the sugar paste. Chantelle explained everything as she went including ingredients and her lovely personality helped to make this service comfortable. It's only been a couple days since, but I can say sugaring is much kinder to your skin vs. wax. It's not hot so you won't be burned and my skin wasn't super angry like after a wax. I plan to get my pits done because shaving there has been causing constant irritation! I'd love to do my legs but my part time job budget doesn't afford that and my legs are ironically much more sensitive. There's also the custom in house created products which are all super nice! I bought the Hydrate and it's been great to have, I also used it as an after shave on my legs. It is more costly - about $60 vs. $55 at my regular waxing place ($44 if you go back at 5 week intervals as an upkeep date). Sugaring Change does give back and uses high quality products so that'll all factor into long term decisions :) I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this place! read more

I made an appointment to get my brows sugared here after seeing all the stellar reviews. I was asked about what shape I would like and I told her I wanted them straight, she told me how she thought they would look better if she opened the shape up a bit. She kept saying how brows will never look the same as one another but these are awful one is fine and the other is beyond f*caked up, I get so angry every time I do my makeup and it looks worse once I try to fix them with a pencil. I had my brows done almost a week ago and I am still left with patches of sore flaking skin. The micellar water she used to cleanse the area burned within seconds and she kept scrubbing, I literally got out of the shower and put makeup on excluding my eye are, it's not like I had any make up on for her to scrub off. I went to a place a month prior and they had mediocre reviews I thought I'd be better off here, what a nightmare. read more

Whitney was amazing! I have sensitive skin so shaving my legs has always been a challenge - I get terrible ingrown hairs and razor rash. I decided to give sugaring a try and am totally hooked. It took weeks for my hair to grow in and, when it did, it was a fraction of what it was. I recommend this to anyone like me who really hates shaving. Prior to coming to Sugaring Change, I was getting waxed every 4 weeks. When I drove by this place, I thought I'd give it a try because I've heard a lot of good things about sugaring. I booked in for a brazilian, underarms, upperlip, and eyebrows. Chantalle was so welcoming and friendly, and her shop is very clean. What I really liked about Sugaring Change is that Chantalle is very well informed about proper skin care. Not only does she use all natural products, she also knows the reasons why they're more beneficial to use. I'm fortunate that I've always been to really clean waxing salons with estheticians who know what they're doing but I still found that pain wise, sugaring is less painful than waxing. Ultimately, what bothered me the most was the application of the sugaring paste, not the removal part of it. All in all, if waxing is a 5/10 on the pain scale, sugaring would be a 3.5-4/10. Another thing I noticed is that my skin seemed even more smooth than right after a wax. Price wise, it's about the same price as any other GOOD waxing place. One thing that I really liked in particular is that Chantalle gives her clients a complimentary mud mask on any areas of the body that she's done hair removal on (except underarms). It was such a nice extra and the treatment itself was wonderful and my skin felt great afterwards. As someone with really sensitive skin, I had absolutely no reaction to any of the products she used on me, so that's a big plus. I'm at two weeks grow out, and I've found that my hair almost seems to be growing in a bit slower. I also have zero ingrowns in my bikini area. All in all, I'd highly recommend seeing Chantalle and trying sugaring out. She's so sweet and kind and really knows what she's doing. I've never done anything like waxing or sugaring before. Always shaved :P well being 7 months pregnant I needed some help with my bikini area especially with summer coming up lol. So I decided to try this out. I was a little nervous, but Brittany was awesome! She made me feel so comfortable and it was an enjoyable experience! She explained what she was doing and what the ingredients were in everything she was using. My skin was so smooth after and not all red and bumpy like when I shave. I was definitely hooked and have gone 2 more times since then for my bikini, underarms and my legs. I highly recommend a visit to Sugaring Change. This was my first "sugaring" experience, and I have no plans to return to waxing. The sugaring process was LESS PAINFUL than waxing, and my skin was not irritated at all from the treatment.
