In the past, I've only ever taken to hard waxing, but decided to try out Sugaring NYC upon hearing good things about the location. I was scheduled for a Brazilian after 2-3 months of no waxing. I was honestly very nervous because : 1) the pain 2) comfortability with a new esthetician. Well, I had nothing to worry about because Vanessa did a fantastic job at making me feel as comfortable as possible & took every measure to ensure I experienced as little pain as possible. I love this studio! My esthetician Daniella was both gentle and detailed, and I didn't feel like my appointment was just being rushed. I really appreciate how thorough and kind she was! The place is super cute and actually really great location because there are a lot of parking lots nearby (as well as street parking if you're lucky). Ok so I finally decided to try sugaring it took me a while bc I was scared I thought it was going to be extremely painful and too hot on my skin, but wow I was wrong I'm so happy I got my legs sugared and it was less painful than what I thought and the sugar was definitely not hot at all, it was room temperature. I had a great experience here! I was running late and they still accommodated me with no issue. Ally was my waxer, she was so sweet and easy to talk to. She took her time to ensure there was no hair left. At the end of my appointment they gave me free samples as well which was super nice of them. Ok so to be completely honest I'm a hairy guy. For years I've been using the clippers to thin out the hair. This was great but we all know by shaving it just makes the hair thicker, ugh! All was a fail until I heard about SugaringNYC. I made an appointment with Ally to have my back and arms done. She knew right from the start that I was nervous and skeptical about having this procedure done. She walked me through the steps, made me feel comfortable. I didn't realize just how many people have hair removal. I was happy to find out that this was an organic sugar and lemon compound the was biodegradable and safe for me and the environment. Surprisingly it was fairly painless and I couldn't be happier with the results! Not only is the hair gone but it really makes my tattoos jump out. Made an eyelash appointment weeks in advance. The appointment was confirmed via email. I arrived 20 minutes early the woman at the desk kept saying "there's nothing on the books" I pulled my confirmation to make sure I'm at the right place, and asked if there was anything else available she literally kept repeating " there's nothing on the books" until she eventually said there was nothing else available. LOVE LOVE LOVE IT! My skin is so soft and smooth. The whole process was absolutely painless (i have been doing regular waxing with stripes for last 15 years. And even now the regular wax hurts). It was my first time ever waxing anything but my brows and Ally took real good care of me! She answer all the questions I had, calmed me down as I was scared of the pain which was way better than I expected and she even gave me a brake and started with a tiny strip for me not to be too scared! This was my first time experiencing sugaring and let me tell you, they've now earned a loyal customer. From the moment I walked in, I was greeted by the staff and the facility is very clean. Jamie was my esthetician and she was lovely! She kept things fun while still being very attentive and caring. This place had the worst customer service I have ever experienced. My appointment was at 11:50 and I was in the waiting room til 12:30. She didn't even come out to apologize, and when I asked how much longer she said another 15 minutes. Come here if you want to waste an hour of your day in a waiting room. I waited 30 minutes for my appointment during my lunch break until I just had to leave, because I can't be late to my corporate job due to a wax.
