Not only do they make cinnamon though, they take a unique approach to their fruit scones by filling them with fruit jelly, so of course I tried a lemon blueberry filled scone too. The filled ones are better in theory than practice. The lemon flavor of the dough was almost nonexistent and the blueberry jam didn't spread well enough to help out the other lacking flavors. The cinnamon scone absolutely could have potential, but unfortunately mine was overly hard and crumbly - I wish I had asked for a specific, newer and lesser-baked one, but such is life :)

I did try to ask a few questions about wedding tastings while I was there, but the worker helping me didn't seem very enthusiastic or willing to offer much guidance. Since this is such an important part of planning my wedding, that part of the experience felt a bit disappointing. Overall, while I was really rooting for this to be "the place" especially since it's a big and popular bakery I don't feel confident moving forward with them for my wedding desserts. One bite and I deemed it my new favourite cupcake place. I had been drooling over the flavour list for probably a week now and finally convinced my brother to go grab some. We ended up with an assortment of flavours that not only sound delicious but look lovely. Work fast though because my brother got to the shop about 2.5 hours after they opened and a few flavours were already sold out. He got home with the cupcakes while my sister was on a work call. We are impatient though so we decided to try a cupcake anyways and just grabbed the one we knew she'd have no interest in - Macaroon, a coconut cake cupcake topped with chocolate frosting rolled in toasted coconut. We split it and both fell in love at first bite. My brother is not a frosting fan so for him cupcakes are all about the cake and he has been raving about how light and fluffy, yet flavourful the cake was all afternoon. As for me, I love frosting and cake and the flavours were just so spot on and rich that I was happy. Often frosting/icing can be end up tasting like icing sugar above all else but that wasn't the case here at all. When my sister got off her call, we went in for a second - Men are from Mars, a chocolate cupcake topped with malt frosting dipped in a chocolate shell with a caramel centre. It sounds like a lot but once again they nailed each flavour and they all worked together so well. I normally avoid chocolate cakes but this one was delicious and I'd definitely recommend. In fact, I'd recommended everything I've tried thus far and I'm sure that opinion isn't about to change.
