    Meal combo
    Srujan N.

I picked up lunch from here a few times and the food is consistently good. The meal combo is well balanced with rice, veggies and lentils. They use minimal plastic for meal combo packaging which is great.

All packed up neatly and separated well

Suggi Oota operates as a ghost kitchen, as are a bunch of others in this location. This is a nice upgrade in the before-times where you had to place orders 2+ days ahead of time. Thankfully not nearly as bad as it was then, but Suggi Oota's take out process wasn't the smoothest either. That said, food was received well and everything was neatly packed and I thoroughly enjoyed the meal. Light on the stomach, yet well balanced in flavors (though it does skew more towards more subtle tastes). Though their operation is based in the same takeout kitchen space as several other restaurants, they don't seem to be operating on the same system. This means they don't use the lockers and you actually have to call Suggi Oota directly to bring your order out. This is actually posted there, but you have to notice or you'll be just left waiting...so definite caution. I'm quite the novice to North Karnataka cuisine, but my humble opinion was that the food itself was pretty good, with everything being generally fresh and flavorful, though on the less seasoned side for some dishes. I can't exactly name the dishes too well, but very fresh and 'healthy' (minimal salt and grease). If you can't handle spicy as well... you'll probably miss out on a lot of the flavor as the spicy paste was remarkably potent and added a nice complexity to the dishes. I also probably didn't eat them 'correctly', but hey it was a pleasant meal. That said, you may need to stir up some of the soup containers for full flavor due to settling, as the lentil soup (?) certainly needed it. The dessert was a lovely rice pudding with noodles (of some sort) and heavy notes of cinnamon and cardamom.

I was informed that the patio is open and to order using a QR code at one of the tables in the patio. You have to sign in and create an account to order. It took me a minute to order. I wanted to try their specialty dishes especially because they have mushroom dishes and soy protein dishes. But by the time I was able to figure out how to order and sign up, I was pressed for time to order a meal and ended up ordering crispy spring rolls. Once your order is placed, you wait for a text to let you know your order is ready. Then I have to pick up at the window. Spring rolls were okay. I really wanted to try the crispy oyster mushrooms or the lion mane mushroom dish. Or even the Sea Fruits plate but I wasn't going to have enough time to enjoy them. The patio was fine. A few picnic tables. You bus your own table at the end. Everything they used was biodegradable. I wish it was a better experience. The food looked delicious in pictures, but eating in an outdoor patio, ordering from a QR code, and picking up your food from the window made for a sad and sub par experience.

Dishes that are vegetable-based or prioritize seitan and tofu are typically the best kind of vegan food, over fake meat that never tastes like what its imitating. I wouldn't bring someone without dietary restrictions here, but I think it's a perfect place to bring a vegan/vegetarian/meat-restricted person. They have a lot of good options here. The soups are relatively flavourful for vegan broths. The curry fried rice is delicious as well. I also appreciate the variety of drink options made with vegan milk substitutes. The service is pretty fast considering how busy it gets. Some of the workers can't speak much English, but it hasn't been an issue. Southeast Asian food can be very meat-heavy, so places like this are great. If your vegetarian friend is ever craving Thai or Vietnamese food, bring them here!

The cauliflower had a nice crunch, and the batter was well-seasoned and flavorful. Grilled Octopus was excellent as always, my favorite dishes here. Lamb Osso Bucco was served with orzo rice, peas, morels. Lamb was tender and well-seasoned. Tamarind Glazed Salmon served with kale and red quinoa. The salmon itself was good, but I don't think the quinoa was a good match with the dish. The flatbread was the most disliked item we had. It was a bit bland and too doughy. We enjoyed the Peyrassol Rosé (France 2025), which was not only nice to see but also nice to drink. Love the smooth texture and taste. Vanilla Crème Brûlée was enjoyable, the shortbread cookie was somewhat bland. Chocolate Date Cake was rich and quite sweet. Even we shared it among 3-4 people, we still couldn't finish it. Service was lacking professionalism and timeliness Came to celebrate a birthday dinner and we were immediately disappointed by the service team - couldn't find the reservation (made a month in advance) - sat us without menus - when they did bring menus, they only had 2 for a party of 6... Food was overall good but the server oversold everything. The taste and balance was decent but pricing was 100% unjustified. Review of our table's order - excluding the obvious lack of value and weird plating choices: - mezze dips: skip. rip off. - cauliflower: maybe the best dish of the meal - octopus: sauce was unnecessary and portion size was terrible - caesar salad: not good - lamb shank: tender but the sides were trash - branzino: parts tasted not fully cooked. - lamb chops: DRY. Hammered the protein and drenched in oil...? Do not get. - chicken: large portion and maybe the best bang for buck when feeding large parties. it was ok. No wonder they closed shortly after. I get the high rent given Santana Row pricing but do a little better when hiring service staff.
