After spending time in Leavenworth we came to Sulla Vita for dinner. We walked in without reservation and were seated immediately. We loved our outdoor seating. We got Stuffed Mushrooms, and Garlic Chicken pizza. I loved the Stuffed Mushrooms. The Garlic Chicken pizza was good, loved the white sauce on the pizza. Great place to try in Leavenworth.

What a treasure! Leavenworth is an adorable little Christmas village with a strong German influence. It was a last-minute decision for us while on a larger trip. I don't care for German food so we decided on Sulla Vita, which is more Italian. What a great decision! The service was warm and welcoming.. We were seated immediately. They had a very nice wine selection. The menu was brief, but excellent. We shared stuffed mushrooms, Insalata Guacomo, and shrimp penne with Alfredo. It was all excellent. The Insalata guacomo tasted like summer!! Where did they get such excellent tomatoes in the winter??? Yum!!! While it was all great, that was my favorite. The service was wonderful. The owner greeted us and we had a nice conversation about our trip. He kept coming back for a brief chats, which made it fun. Our waitress was very knowledgeable about the menu. And although she was extremely busy, kept coming back to check on us to make sure we had everything we needed. It was a warm and cozy atmosphere. You could sit outside under the tented area, which was very warm with their outdoor heaters. Or you could sit inside or you could see the brick oven fire and the chefs in the kitchen. Everyone helped out. As soon as the dish was ready, it was rushed to the table so that it was still piping hot.. Highly recommend!!!

We love this place and try to eat here every time we visit Leavenworth! We like being able to share a bunch of small plates because it's hard to choose from when everything is this delicious! Each bite has a pop of creative protein included like the stuffed mushrooms with chorizo and the wood fired medjool dates with prosciutto. There is a great variety of ingredients to the menu, including a healthy assortment of vegetables; this year we tried the insalata giacomo to step up our caprese game! The flank steak is a must each visit! Everything came out promptly as we snacked our way through each dish; and the kiddo was fed pronto--we all know how not feeding a child ASAP can be a recipe for disaster! The inside is lovely and the outer seating is protected from the elements somewhat and has heat lamps.

Our first night in Leavenworth and we found a gem! As we had just gotten into town and wanted to explore a little bit, we walked around and saw this cute restaurant and started to look at the menu. The more we perused through the menu, the hungrier we got. Talked to the host for a few minutes and he noted that the place was dog-friendly, which was the perfect because we had both our pups. The server was super thoughtful and got our dogs water bowls and constantly checked in to make sure both ourselves and the dogs were taken care of and okay. Got a tomato soup, which was a 9/10, that was balanced well between the savory and sweet flavor and was amazing on a chilly night. Also got the drunken clams and the funghi pizza, both were amazing flavors and made us want to come back for me. If we visit Leavenworth again, you can bet we will be back.

Charged for lunch we didn't have, was kicked out before food even arrived, at least don't charge us, that's fine if you don't want us, there is plenty of other places to go to, disappointed in a way you handled it, but it's your place, do as you may. Better luck, hope it was worth it.

First time here, and the waiter was excellent at explaining everything. Ordered meatballs and the flank steak. Both were super delicious!! I would definitely come back again when I visit next. Small bar area with a TV if you prefer that but also tables to make it feel like a date night if you are wanting that.

    Penne Pasta with Pesto

Sulla Vita delivered when I was looking to satisfy my palette for Pizza and Pasta. Coupled with fantastic ambiance in the outdoor seating area, prompt and friendly staff, dinner was a very enjoyable one. The Margherita Pizza was on par with the better of Margherita Pizzas I've had in the past. Perfectly cooked crust and the familiar flavor of cheese, tomatoes that are satisying. The two Penne Pastas were superb. The Alfredo Penna Pasta slightly edged out the Pesto Penne Pasta, but not by much. The Alfredo sauce was lighter than what I usually experienced, and it was more on the cheesy side. Loved the simplicity yet the flavor abundance. The Peso Penne was also delicious with the yummy pesto flavor and the perfectly cooked penne. I had planned to come back again after a long day of hiking but unfortunately didn't make it. Next time I visit Leavenworth, Sulla Vita is on the must visit list again :)

I am in love with Pizzas here. The Funghi pizza is out of this world - gives you an outer body experience ( p.s. - you must love Arugula). The chicken garlic pizza was pretty good too. The vegetable pizza is a good choice too. However I will always stick with Funghi. Service and Ambience both are great. One thing to remember is that this place opens at 3. So if you really want to come here please look up their open hours beforehand. The only thing that felt average was their Pasta. I didn't taste it but someone in my group did.

The homies wanted to go to Sulla Vita for one of our group dinners for some Italian food, which I found to be A-OK. Although I didn't find the food to be anything spectacular, it was a fun time at Sulla Vita with its friendly service and the many local wine and beer offerings. The menu featured a good amount of different options, with a few pastas, pizzas, meat entrees and sides. There was something for everyone here to choose from. I ordered the meatballs, which came with a choice of penne or ciabatta bread and had a side of the cauliflower & parsnip gratin. The food wasn't bad, but not memorable. I found the meatballs standard, with the tomato sauce being a tad too sweet to my liking. I ordered mine with the side of ciabatta bread and would've enjoyed it more had there been a slight toast to it, to firm it up. However, the cauliflower & parsnip gratin was delicious, so would order this again with a different protein if I ever come back here. Our server was very friendly even with how busy the place was on a Friday night. Fun times.

Some friends and I stopped in for a Saturday dinner after spending the day tubing on the river, primarily because they were able to seat us right away. We ordered a smattering of dishes as well as a charcuterie spread that we shared. The meats, cheeses, and dips were excellent, as was the pizza that I nearly inhaled. The crust on the pizza was the perfect balance between being thin but also being soft and fluffy instead of overly crisp which usually happens when too-thin crust spends too much time in the pizza oven. Toppings were perfection - the prosciutto and balsamic combo plus the pesto was amazing, not to mention the fig - would highly recommend! We were seated outside on the patio, which was busy but the open air ambiance was enjoyable on a sunny day (seats were covered).

Prosciutto-Fig pizza was top 5 pizza we've ever had! Red blend wine "Devil Makes Three" by Gorman Winery was also delicious. Very impressed.

We were here on an off season time so I would highly recommend reservations. The menu is small which I love because I don't have to many items competing with each other to order. I decided to order a board as an appetizer with 2 meats, 2 cheeses, and a side. Huge happy dance with this one, the honey ricotta was amazing, deviled eggs huge smiles, burrata was perfect, salami and prosciutto beautiful. On this day they had two specials butternut squash ravioli and a sea bass. We chose the ravioli with added chicken, it had a good taste however did not compete with the other dishes (still did a happy dance with each bite). There is a kids menu, we had the fettuccine with chicken, good side for kids. They also have shrimp or just cheese fettuccine, pizza, and lasagna. Our main courses we had the eggplant parm, perfectly cooked with a side caprese salad. Mushroom and chicken fettuccine amazing flavors and a good portion. For desert we had the apple bread pudding, to die for, a cookie pie and chocolate mouse type dessert (I forgot their names), all very good. Highly recommend this place and as a family was listed #1 out of 5 places eaten here in Leavenworth.

Our waitress asked if we wanted pepper on our salad and we said yes, but she never came with it. We did get it on our pasta though! My dish was good, but wished I would have gotten my original dish I wanted, however waitress said it might have been too spicy for my kid. One funny thing that happened was another waiter accidentally brought another tables food to our table. He put a spaghetti in front of my daughter and when we said it was the wrong table, our daughter was so mad. To make up for it, the waiter had sent over some gelato for her! I thought that was a sweet gesture. Great italian food and lots of good drink options. We would definitely eat here again.

Since we had to make the almost 6 hour trek home the next day, we went for an early dinner and were the first party in. Service was kind and quick! Everyone was super friendly. I assume with the name Mozart usually there's some form of music (I would assume classical) that maybe just hadn't been turned on yet. But no bother. Food was fantastic. The fondue is not to be missed - the sausage and broccolini were clear standouts with this dish. I got the hunters schnitzel which was great but my husband got the Käsespätzle which is one of the absolute best things I have eaten out in a really long time. Unfortunately, the restaurant was already running about 45 minutes behind and no one communicated this to the long line of guests standing on a steep staircase waiting to be seated. Given that the evening was reservation-only, it was surprising how unprepared they seemed for the exact number of people they knew were coming. The space itself is quaint and charming, and the food was reasonably tasty once it arrived. But the service left a lot to be desired. The hostess was uncommunicative and initially tried to seat us at a shared table in the middle of heavy foot traffic. When we asked about an empty private table that had been sitting open the entire time we were waiting, we were told it was for "VIP" guests. Our server seemed overwhelmed and not very attentive. She had to ask for and repeat our orders multiple times, still brought the wrong dish to one person, and served three meals while the fourth person in our party waited another 10-15 minutes for theirs. When we asked about the delay, it felt like we were inconveniencing them. Overall, it was disappointing. The restaurant has a lot of charm and potential, but the lack of communication, organization, and basic hospitality made for a frustrating experience--especially on a night that was clearly planned around reservations.
