Nice atmosphere, good tasting food, and decent drinks, however prices quite high, I'd say not worth to pay the overpriced menu.

The steak is great, but bring your own steak sauce as they do not carry A1 or 57. The price is high.

The best steakhouse I've ever been to. The burgers are good, the steaks are fantastic and the tuna is to die for.

Within that 16 square miles there are over 30 various types of restaurants for it's 12,000 citizens to pick from. Multiple Mexican places, several Asian, an Italian joint, a steak joint, a couple fried catfish places, some sit down chain restaurants and almost all the fast food joints you can want. Yet some how among this dizzying array of places to eat, Road House manages to stand at the top of the list. (Shared with Sully's). Everytime my wife and I have gone we've had delicious food and great service. My favorite is the burger. The first time I had it I was amazed at the smokey flavor it had. At the time I had no idea they were smoking their beef patties at the time. My wife had the Mississippi Philly Cheesesteak which was also as amazing. Servers were attentive, very friendly and fun to talk to. Desserts were delicious and fresh as well. My only couple complaints were the restaurant was kept ridiculously cold. Even the servers said it was too cold in there for them as they shuffled around wearing hoodies. The other issue I had was it seemed like place couldn't decide if it was a casual family restaurant, or fine dining. The decor and the way the staff interacts with the tables suggest casual family restaurant. But the pricing leans more towards fine dining. This is not at all any reason why you should not eat here. And based on what i've seen recently, most patrons don't see this place the same way I do as they are consistently packed which is great! We're planning on another visit soon. I've been hankering for that burger again. Highly recommend, but bring a small coat just in case the temp is set to sub-zero again.

The lighting is a bit dim for our old eyes but otherwise it has the feel of a pub. We loved that. Our server was very nice and helpful. We ordered the bacon cheddar fries. The fries are like a cottage fries that are then cut into strips. Perfect fry on them. The bacon could have been crispier but great flavor and a good ranch. I had the KPauls pasta. We all enjoyed it. Pasta cooked perfectly al dente. If you love a saucy pasta this isn't for you. It is nice and creamy but not swimming in it. Big plump shrimp that tasted great. Also has chunks of chicken breast and sliced sausage. Uncle Jim got the red beans and rice. Great flavor but barely warm. The catfish is a thicker cut and battered in a coarsely ground corn meal. Aunt Robin had the shrimp and grits. Those were the star of the show. So creamy and incredible flavor. Very generous amount of nice sized shrimp. Mike had the Keg Stand burger. He requested the sauce on the side. It's definitely a unique flavor. Nice soft bun. The meat was grossly over cooked but would have been tasty had it not been so dry. The onion rings that came with the burger were soggy. Overall, enjoyed it. We know what to get next time. Shrimp and grits and KPauls pasta!!

I tried several different flavors and my favorites were the pineapple and jalapeno. They are now making their sausages available here and I picked up some right away. Lil Butcher Shoppe is located at 1910 Broadway Dr in Hattiesburg, MS, and has been proudly serving the Pine Belt region since 1991. This family-owned and operated "olde-fashioned" butcher shop offers a wide variety of fresh, high-quality meats, local products, and excellent customer service. From its humble beginnings at Tip's gas station to its current thriving location, Lil Butcher Shoppe has become a beloved fixture in the community and now making their sausages products available in stores. Their history, brothers David Lawson and Steven Dyar founded Lil Butcher Shoppe over three decades ago, drawing inspiration from their family's history in the service industry. Prior to opening the butcher shop, David worked at Tip's, a gas station named after their mother, Christal "Tip" Lawson. The family managed the various locations from the years 1974-1990. David had worked in the family's gas station business his entire life, where he learned business management and customer service skills. After serving in the Navy, Steven Dyar began working at Carroll's Meat Shoppe, Patricia (Trish) Dyar's family butcher shop in Jacksonville, FL. This is where Steve learned the butcher trade and fell in love with Trish, whom he married. In 1990, the couple decided to move back to Mississippi. Lil Butcher Shoppe boasts a vast selection of fresh, hand-cut beef, pork, chicken, and seafood. Customers can also request custom cuts to suit their preferences. In addition to high-quality meats, the shop offers a range of homemade items, such as: * Stuffed Potatoes (6 flavors) * Bratwursts * Boudin * Meatloaf * Smoked Chicken * Stuffed Porkchops * Stuffed Chicken * Gumbo * Mardi Gras Pasta Sauce * Casseroles * Stuffed Mushrooms & Peppers * Crawfish Pies The shop also stocks an assortment of cheeses, homemade jams, and various ready-to-bake dishes. With such a diverse array of offerings, Lil Butcher Shoppe truly caters to a wide range of tastes and culinary needs. I have already prepared a number of dishes for breakfast and dinner using several of these sausages and I'm a fan. The pineapple flavor is very good just grilled on a bun with a pineapple slaw and the jalapeno one is great with beans. I have more ideas and there's lots of ideas. Bottom line: Lil Butcher Shoppe has stood the test of time as a family-owned, community-oriented establishment in Hattiesburg, MS. Offering an extensive array of high-quality meats, homemade dishes, and local products, it remains a go-to destination for residents and visitors alike who appreciate quality and exceptional customer service. So they basically charged me for a carcass that I can't eat. Who gives you turkey breast with the carcass attached like the whole rib cage. I just got a meatloaf from there and it's not all meat. Now they add SOY to their meatloaf to cut down on their cost for them, but still charge us a premium price for the meat. Soy does not belong in a MEAT loaf. I will no longer order their holiday turkey breast because they're charging me for A carcass along with the breast. Now I will no longer order meatloaf because they're charging me for meat and yet they cram SOY in the so-called meatloaf. It's getting pretty close to the point where I just won't shop here anymore. There was also a time where they re-wrapped meat with a new date on it and forgot to remove the old date. That's not really legal. I don't know who is doing all of this, but it's not how little butcher shop used to be. Whoever is in charge now needs to stop it immediately before they get turned in to the proper authorities.

Our server was great - so personable and friendly - and speedy! Our drinks came out quickly and were soooo good! My boyfriend had the breakfast old fashioned adorned with a crispy slice of bacon! And I had the pineapple jalapeño mimosa (fyi, they even have mimosa flights!) The food was out of this world - I'm not kidding. I barely finish my plate anywhere, but their Downtowner Steak Caesar Salad made the clean-plate-club. It's served with two toasted crostinis which were seasoned well and perfectly crispy. My boyfriend had the grits & grillades - Came out looking so good I had to steal a bite. It was divine! Because everything we tasted had been so delicious, we then had to try dessert so we got the crème brûlée. It was my first time trying it, but I swear I felt like my soul had left my body lol. It was crispy on top, perfectly sweetened and balanced and topped with a dollop of whipped cream and strawberries. Amazing! We absolutely will be back and honestly can't wait until next time. 10/10!

She was friendly, sharp, and knew the menu and the bourbon list like a sommelier who also grew up at in her parent's restaurant/bar. Let's talk about the $34 steak night deal -- I came in expecting "good for the price." What I got was "I'm suspicious this kitchen loves me personally." My steak was cooked absolutely perfectly and seasoned so well I considered hugging the chef. The Caesar salad was crisp and classic, the kind that makes you feel like you're being healthy right before you absolutely abandon that plan. Let's talk about the MVP now -- the sweet potato mash with candied pecans. I would like to publicly apologize to my steak because it was no longer the star of the plate. I would order a full bowl of the sweet potato mash if I could. The Bourbon of the Month (Barrell Dovetail) paired ridiculously well. Smooth, rich, and dangerous -- the kind of pour that convinces you that you've made excellent life decisions. I finished with the king cake bread pudding which was the perfect mic drop to the meal especially on Fat Tuesday. This is hands down the best steakhouse I've found in the city. Great food, great service, great pours, super clean restaurant and bar-- Bourbon on Front is officially a "I am coming back and bringing friends" place.
