Açaí bowls were very good and customizable. Tigertail smoothie was also really good -- not overly sweet. If you like them a little sweeter, you might want to have them add some honey or other sweetener. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Lots of vitamins and supplements in one section. read more

I LOVE this shop!! Dr. Schulman and his Wife; Are the BEST!! Very hard working & knowledgeable and carry a wide variety of hard to find herbal supplements (for health & wellbeing) as well as a GROCERY STORE for they gluten free / vegan needs! And have smoothies, too! There are so many cool things in their shop- crystals, Himalayan Salt Lamps... on & on it goes!! Highly recommend!!! read more

I stopped in for a smoothie, and while the inside isn't much to look at, I sat outside with my dog and it was really nice. The smoothie I had wasn't great, I ordered one with almond butter and it didn't seem like it was blended all the way. The service was friendly and there were lots of options. The name and menu are misleading, as all the wraps are not organic. I asked the cafe which veggies were organic and was told it varies every order and that the new owners changed to save money. I was told all the juices and smoothies were organic however. Summer Day Market is my favorite food place on Marco. Not only do I eat their delicious açaí bowLs daily, but I also shop there. The owners & the crew are wonderful absolutely amazing people. Every single one of them. If there is something I need, they order it for me, however, they always have what I need. This cafe has the best açaí bowls I've had in Florida. They're pretty big and taste fresh, and are topped with a lot of fruit. I went there once and came back two days later just for another bowl. Only problem is that the staff behind the counter weren't wearing their masks or had them below their nose. Masks aren't enforced and neither is social distancing. read more

It was basically a sprouts wrap with very few of the other ingredients. If I'm paying $9 for something like a wrap, it better be great! I do smoothies all the time at home and was happy at first to find a place where I could stay healthy during my vacation here for the week. For the record, I try to stay away from all-fruit smoothies- they are very high in sugar and aren't as healthy as ones that contain some greens. I also have a gut intolerance to banana- I get reflux and burp it up for hours after I eat it. At home, I just do simple recipes with greens, some berries and almond milk or coconut milk. Simple! Sometimes I add boosters like chia seeds or protein powder if I feel like it. There are tons of recipes on the web, and you get that great, pleasing "neon green" color to your smoothie. A large portion of this menu is nothing but all-fruit smoothies that contain banana. It seems there is no middle ground at this place- no smoothie with greens, berries and almond milk. Seems simple enough? Here you either get all fruit and high sugar, or a straight green vegetable juice. Really disappointing. I was also told that if I wanted to remove banana from a smoothie, I'd have to pay an extra $1.25 to make up for the cost of fruit. I'm assuming that means the extra berries that go in place of the banana, but geez. $1.25? Your boosters are already $1 a piece! I haven't tried the food, but the smoothie menu is too rigid and expensive. Healthy places like this might anticipate that someone visiting is doing so because they have health concerns and might need some wiggle room. Smoothies aren't rocket science- a cafe should be able to accommodate everyone at a reasonable price. read more

I only get the chance to visit one week out of the year since I live in Miami and vacation here in the summer with family. This place has made being a vegan in Marco Island a breeze. They have everything you might have forgotten to bring and more. Not to mention I finally tried their acai bowls and I can't wait to go back and have another! I don't get it with honey, just granola, strawberries and bananas and it's heavenly! My boyfriend added peanut butter to his and he was really happy with the result. If I take into consideration that they are the ONLY health food store for miles and miles, I would say it's a 4 star. But I'm comparing to other health food stores. The main reason why only a three star is the extremely high prices- Like, borderline crazy. I can live with the small size and somewhat limited selection (though they definitely have all the essentials). Anyhow, if you need something besides lobster and steak while on Marco Island, they seem to be by far your best bet. Plus, the staff is very very nice. read more

As an out-of-town guest, the staff sure is friendly and makes you feel at home. The store is well stocked with natural foods and medicinal supplements. They also have a space with books, clothing, crystals, and more. They have a fresh deli. My Marco Island life saver. When you eat a healthy plant based diet your options are very limited in Marco. My husband and I went to summer day almost every day for a smoothie and occasionally their veggie wrap which is delicious and filling. They also sell a variety of healthy items you won't find at publix or wynn Dixie. The only thing I could say not positive is they need a better protein option for shakes like hemp protein or garden of life greens protein. And maybe another vegan sandwich option. But those are more suggestion than complaints. read more

People are SO FRIENDLY & helpful here! I got a little bit of a cold while on vacation & was hoping to find a healthy place where I could re-vamp my insides. $80 later & I was content! I approached the young woman at the counter for any advice on purchases for a sore throat & congestion. She immediately brought me in the right direction & was nothing but a ray of sunshine. I initially came here for lunch based off of other reviews but they didn't really have any true vegan sandwich options anymore. The owner who was very nice by the way mentioned that when she has vegan options,no one gets them and then the minute she pulls it,someone comes in asking for some lol They do however still jave a boat load of great smoothie options. This a family owned,quaint healthy food store that also has a side to it that has healing crystals and the like which I thought was pretty neat. Ordered the pastrami on rye with swiss cheese. Came with pickle. Absolutely delicious, warm and moist, with hint of mustard. Price, very competitive and is lower than others I have visited. Energetic and helpful staff served my meal. The store was immaculately clean, and the cashier sanitized the tables. Followed with an organic coffee and it exceeded my expectations as well. Wow. Tie-dyed shirts, salt lamps, and exotic jewelry are just some of the awesome finds at Summer Day. Whenever I'm visiting my family on Marco, I always make a point to stop in for lunch and get the delicious warm veggie wrap.
