Hello, and thanks for the awesome cappuccinos I get here at Avery Ranch.  First, a big compliment to the empathic and responsive customer service I received from Schylar Brown, manager.  She was very professional and calm even though I had a compliant that I was not happy about.  She allowed me to vent and she was willing to listen with focused attention and understanding.  Thank-you Schylar! About my complaint--well its a small thing and maybe cos I'm so old but it bothers me every time I go in--and demonstrates how Corporate summer moon is becoming.  Keep Austin weird?    This corporation refuses to even 1. update their main display board in an aesthetically pleasing way and 2. simply make it informationally accurate.  What is so hard about this I wonder? Their staff, managers, and espresso are all above average -in spite- of their upper bosses' willing and dis-empowering  corporate "rigidity"--a rigidness they must live with.   People such as Schylar deserve a raise and an environment that makes them able to empower their customers.   Thanks for the opportunity to make this coffee shop even better.   Don read more

I've been here probably 50 times over the past 5 years. Great coffee options, especially with their signature moon milk. Aside from the splendid drinks (as well as drink variety and heavy customization,), the inside of the store is fantastic. GREAT place for completing work and meeting with buddies. For seating, they have a front patio with ~ 8 tables (2 & 4 top), the main floor with ~10 tables (2, 4, 6 top) and 2 bar seating areas, and a loft with 6 (2 top) tables. Music volume is reasonable, you know it exists, yet it won't distract from your work. It seems pretty busy in the morning and night hours with more downtime from the beginning of lunch to 5-ish. TLDR - For coffee drinks, come here. For work/study, come here. T0Tes worth it. read more

oh Summermoon!! I tried to resist you for so long b/c your 1st street location was so hipster with no parking!! Now you're everywhere!!! YAY! I moved north and didn't think I would ever have a chance to get to know you and your delicious moon milk. This location is definitely my go-to spot now! Big parking lot. space inside, outlets everywhere for laptops, a loft area for the introvert in me! Lots of windows for people watching. :) Love it all!! So my drink: half moon with an extra shot of espresso. :) I need to cut it down to a quarter moon but it's sooo good!!!! This place gets full quickly. By 9am, you might not be able to find a table to sit at. but the bar spot are usually available. Also, try their hot chocolate. it's the best in town!!! The staff here are also so friendly! The vibe of this place is pretty nice. The customers are of all ages. It provides plenty of tables and has a small and cute upstairs. It gets pretty warm up there. If you have a warm drink you'd feel it more. I had an iced drink and felt a bit warm too. A wall fan would make that floor a lot comfy, I think. The hand pies (empanadas of sort) were incredible! They were out of the fruit one so we got the meatball hand pie and was pleased! I also enjoyed the chips that they offered (Jalapeño Cheddar potato chips). They ladies at the bar spelt my name and said it the way I said it, just a small thing but it counts for me!! WARNING: The full Summermoon sweetness is very very sweet. The creaminess is great but a bit too sweet- like condensed milk sweet. Next time, I'll try to do half. This place may just be our new local coffee joint. read more

This may be my new favorite coffee. I always support local but I am very partial to Starbucks. I love several other local places check my other reviews but this place has won me over quickly. They took over the space and made it their own! I love the inside. Feels fresh and yet has something familiar to it. The staff has been great the two time I have been in. Super nice and very helpful and informative. Walked me through the menu and made great suggestions. Everything is based around Moon Milk. A secret concoction of sweet cream and flavors. So all the drinks are different variations on the amount of espresso, skim milk and moon milk. Fuller the moon the sweeter it gets. read more

I'm not a big coffee drinker, but i was told how amazing this place was. So i decided to give it a try before heading to a local event. There's tons of signage but if you don't drink coffee, it's still a little confusing. I head to the counter and she could tell i had no clue what to order. She greeted me with a smile and i immediately felt relaxed. She asked if i needed help with anything and i explained my lack of coffee knowledge. She asked what i liked, what i had had before, and if there was anything i knew i didn't like. She really made me feel ok about not knowing what to order. She came up with a great iced coffee for me. I forgot what it was called but it was really yummy! I really appreciate her taking the time to listen to me and assist in helping me order. Got the Iced Mocha Moon and the Half Wintermoon and was immediately surprised at the flavor bursting in both drinks! Summer Moon's coffee is special because of their roasting process and you can taste the difference. The Mocha Moon was smokey, chocolatey and very addictive! Easily my new favorite latte and I've had quite a few. The Half Wintermoon was a delicious take on an iced latte, the Moon Milk included helps the coffee bean's flavors shine. Start here if you're not sure what to order, especially in Texas summer heat! Just as a recommendation: if you want to try their Moon Milk recipe, you may want to start with the 1/4 Moon serving as it is quite sweet. If you have a sweet tooth though, go for 1/2 Moon or more. Their coffee is worlds better than Starbucks, and when they have them, their homemade "pop-tarts" are a real treat. As I understand it, Summer Moon roasts their coffee over oak wood rather than a natural gas source of heat. It is not nearly so bitter as Starbucks. I have been seeing locations being opened in Austin too. The Round Rock University location is always crowded and busy. The staff still gets your order out quickly though. read more

I love Summer Moon, but it sucks paying $7 for a latte and seeing the barista roll her eyes behind the espresso machine at a customers' question. I'm sick of paying top dollar for average Joe service. This is your job, be nice to customers and stop trying to act cool with your girl barista posse. This Summer Moon is in great location and has a lot of seating areas. It's pretty busy throughout the day but if you can find a spot it's a nice place to get work done. The tables are spacious and the staff is friendly. I always go for their quarter moon latte because I find that it has just the right amount of sweetness or their half moon if I'm craving something more sweet. Their prices are pretty reasonable and the quality of the coffee is great! I think the food is pretty standard nothing special. I got their blueberry muffin which was a little dry, but they are offering Bougie's donuts now which I'll have to try next time. read more

I absolutely adore Summer Moon and am addicted to their coffee. The product deserves five stars, but the service at this location is so slow. I understand that they are likely understaffed, but waiting 15 minutes just to order coffee (only 3 folks ahead of me) is just crazy. It then usually takes 15-20 minutes to make my latte. Now I know I can order online, but I love the blueberry muffins, and they are not an option to order online most of the time. The staff is always polite, but please get more staff. read more

Great coffee, but even better lattes with their super secret Moon Milk recipe. In fact they have branched out to cold coffee drinks using their Moon Milk like the Moonraker and OO7. I can't wait until they start - if they actually do it - making K pods. Really, just out of convenience since that is the machine we have at my office, but I do buy their bag 'o beans and brew my fire-roasted coffee at home. Now, for those that frequent the original location and the other one by the Domain know that parking and sitting is as scarce as rain during an Austin Summer. While the staff is friendly and the coffee and pastries tasty...the amount of time it takes to make a drink has gotten out of control. I don't know what the issue is but 15-20 minutes to wait for a single drink is not uncommon. Today the wait was 30 minutes. I drink coffee and my friend drinks chai tea, so our social time is spent with her always spent with her waiting for her drink while I sit outside. They don't have these issues at the 620 location. read more

This staff is so friendly and knowledgeable here! I've asked about almost every drink and they explain without being hesitant! The coffee is pretty good. You'll want to get the half winter moon or whatever it's called. It's a sweet drink but the "half" makes it normal levels of sweet instead of too sweet. Summer moon is basically one of the many coffee shops I rotate around whenever I want to code on my laptop or read a book outside of the house. Another really good benefit of summer moon is that they're open carry. I tend to give more business to coffee shops that support second amendment rights. I love it! read more

I would give this place 5-stars for their delicious coffee but I was highly disappointed with the delivery service I received. They got my coffee order totally incorrect with an ICED MOCHA instead of a HOT MOCHA! I ordered thru Favor Delivery app, gladly got my refund back from Favor, and actually drove to Summer Moon to address the incorrect order with their Manager. Funny thing was that the Manager claimed that it was all Favor's fault because they supposedly never saw my order come up thru their online order system. Well, excuse me ma'am, but that was actually a LIE! I ordered from Favor Delivery about a week ago and my order was actually CORRECT. The iced coffee even had the incorrect name written on the coffee cup! Thanks, but no thanks, you guys have once and for all LOST MY BUSINESS. I just wish the manager would have owned up to their mistake with the online order instead of blaming someone else and saying they only recognize orders from "CHOW NOW" under SUMMER MOON WEBSITE. This place took 22 minutes to prepare my drink on a non-busy Saturday night. It was one simple iced latte with only 2 people in front of me in the line. These baristas aren't even wearing masks and would constantly chat with each other and spraying their micro-splashes of saliva around the drinks that they're preparing in front of them and taking forever to do it. read more

I'm SOOOOO happy to have a Summer Moon in Cedar Park :) Consistently good coffee and lots of space to park for a while to study, which I've been doing lately. I did notice that they frequently forgot orders, 3 in the hour I was sitting nearby the baristas and watched them do it, or get the order wrong.
