I've been hearing a lot about this place so I was excited to finally try it out. I'm a huge fan of americano so I stuck to that and asked them to add a splash of the moon milk since I don't like my coffee too creamy and sweet. For a coffee shop with multiple locations they are consistently great. In fact I'd say they are my favorite coffee shop and on point at each location I have been too. Two words. Moon Milk. That's all you need to hear to get to your nearest Summer Moon. I stumbled upon this coffee shop when trying to study with a friend and fell in love. To be completely honest I'm not the biggest fan of coffee, but these beverages I can do. Especially if they have moon milk. My first visit here, I tried the 3/4 winter moon which was an iced coffee that had a specific ratio of expresso, moon milk, and skim milk. Moon Milk is the coffee shop's 7 ingredient secret concoction acting as a creamer. But it is sooooo good! This visit I tried an iced matcha moon and absolutely loved it! Wish there was one closer, but then again maybe not because they would have all my money. read more

My go-to coffee. I order a iced mocha moon almost everyday. On your first trip, ask to try the moon milk, and depending on your taste, get a drink based off of that sweetness. They have menus at the counter that really explain how they make their drinks with moon milk, but you can also get regular coffee orders. Stick to coffee, their cake loafs are good, but I don't recommend the wraps or kolache at all. It's usually pretty busy with a line. Their coffee is always bomb! I especially love their seasonal autumn harvest latte and love that they offer GF pastries! You can never really find seating but they do have tons of it! I just did curbside pickup today (coronavirus pandemic happening), and this was my first time here. Staff was super nice and run up to car to see what your name is to bring your order. I work nearby and was actually kind of hoping it would be average coffee so I wouldn't be addicted and want to come here daily... Let's just say..my goodness!! This is so freaking good!! Best coffee ever. I got the Global which is 1/4 moon milk, 1/4 oat milk? and rest the wood fired espresso shot. There goes my wallet. Take all my money Summer Moon so I can live on your coffee. Great new coffee place on S Main. Beautiful spacious interior, good parking in the back. (Upstairs area as well). Excellent food both gluten and gluten free. (Also Taco Head tacos-yeah!!). First time wish I could of gone inside to really catch a feel for what the interior looks like cause there's nothing like a good coffee spot with a really good seating area! Curbside pickup was quick and will more than definitely be coming back! I had their ham and cheese croissant sandwich and it was delicious but their mocha moon coffee was everything! I've been a Summer Moon customer for years! I remember stopping at Summer Moon's original location when I would be heading north on trips. There are two aspects of Summer Moon that make it a standout: the wood fired coffee, and the moon milk. I'm a bit of a coffee snob, so I don't like the full moon level sweetness, but when I'm looking for something sweet the half moon fits the bill. Summer Moon is brand new on Main St. The atmosphere is great and there is even an upstairs area (with bench swings!). Their signature "moon milk" is extremely sweet so if that isn't your thing stick to a 1/4 moon or avoid it altogether. They do have a large selection of baked goods and breakfast tacos/wraps but it can get pretty pricey here. Today I got the spiced chai latte and it was delicious -- my favorite thing I have purchased so far. I also got an almond croissant which was buttery in the middle. Came here to study on a Sunday night and the atmosphere, decor, and designs were really nice and homey. The lighting was perfect and there were a good amount of tables to study at. Some are quite small but I didn't have a problem with that. The only problem I had here was that the WiFi wasn't working at all. My phone, laptop, and iPad weren't able to connect and I came here to study so it was quite difficult. Hopefully, they find a better service or get it fixed! For the menu, I got the matcha moon and it was yummy! It was a bit sweet so I asked for extra ice and it balanced it out well! Will come back to try more on the menu! read more

My favorite coffee place ever! I used to live in Austin and go to the original location. When I decided to move to Houston, the first thing I searched for was Summer Moon, and actually based my housing around how close it was to a Summer Moon (yeah, kinda obsessed with this place). I can't live without it. I've had many drinks from here, but my go-to is always the Hot Half Moon Latte. Can't go wrong with that one, perfect balance of strong and sweet. I don't like my coffee too sweet, and even though the Moon Milk can be sweet, this place always seems like get it perfect. I also like the Hot 1/4 Mocha Moon Latte. The Espresso Milkshakes are fun during the summer. The taste is always consistent at this location and the employees are friendly. Would be a great place to work remotely. The music is nice and the atmosphere is peaceful, but not too quiet. It still has a lively vibe. I wish they would expand in Houston/Katy more but understand that it will take time. You will not regret trying this coffee! read more
