Nice atmosphere. Big into pink--even the corn tortillas are pink! I had the house coffee because its aroma was so prevalent in the store and it smelled so good. The taste lived up to it. I was going to get the breakfast taco plate but the chorizo con huevos sounded even better. Plenty of chorizo and scrambled eggs to fill 3 corn tortillas along with refried beans. The chorizo was delicious, spicy without heat and the proportion of it to the eggs was spot on. The food had very good flavor. A green sauce was offered but I can't have jalapeños. Parking is limited so park in front on the street or in the back of the building. When we got there, they were kinda busy on a Sunday around 11 o'clock. There was a 20 minute wait and they only give you a five minute grace period to show up I was two minutes late. They gave my table. The Host gave us the next available table, which only took a few minutes so be very prompt when they text you your table is ready. We started off with the Michelada and a cafecito martini. For starters Itsa nice place a little small and loud, they offer outdoor seating but it's 100 degrees outside so that was a no for me , my agua fresca was pineapple with no ice I had to ask for some - Ok, so then my chilaquiles come out and it's a plate full of chips two small eggs and my brisket had a lot of fat in it, I thought this place would be better but it just didn't meet my standards- I probably won't be back because it wasn't wow it was just okay like any other place - other then it being a cute place I couldn't say much else about it. read more

I've seen this restaurant posted on social media so many times and had wanted to go but wondered if it was just hype and cute decor. I'm so glad I finally went because this restaurant is definitely more than just a pretty face. Everything we ordered was perfect from start to finish. You can tell how much love is put into everything they serve. Each item is handmade with Care. Those pink tortillas are the best corn tortillas I've ever eaten. The only negative thing I can say about this place is that the chairs on the patio were not very comfortable, but the ambience on the patio and the superior service from the waitstaff made up for it. I'm always hesitant when places look cute because typically food isn't up to par but I was pleasantly surprised. The chilaquiles are a hefty portion and have a semi spicy green salsa paired with their flavorful tinga, they were good. I went to Cafecito right when they opened and had a good experience. The hostess was professional and the waitress was excellent. She was friendly, attentive, and clearly knew the menu well. I ordered the mollete, a toasted bolillo roll topped with refried beans, melted cheese, pico de gallo, and avocado. It was filling and comforting. I also had the cortado and café de olla. A friend and I went to Cafecito on a Friday morning and were able to snag a table on the patio quickly. I've heard people wait forever on the weekends, so I was relieved to get a seat quickly. Our server came over quickly. He was very nice and was happy to give recommendations. We started with marzipan lattes, which were tasty but too sweet for me. I'd recommend getting them 1/2 sweet. We also got the strawberry hotcakes which were pretty good and a bacon and egg taco which was not so good. The egg was pretty dry, so I wouldn't order that again. Inside is super cute and definitely Instagrammable, but the patio didn't have the same vibe. I was a little disappointed and would ask for an indoor table moving forward. Stopped by initially to grab some tacos & coffee and get a little studying done, but they are a full fledge cafe (not study/laptop friendly) so with change of plans ordered some tacos to-go. Unfortunately, you can't order a bacon, potato, and egg taco (even as an option to pay extra) as that is not an option at this restaurant. I will say that this is a fairly large restaurant. I was pretty surprised. I thought it was going to be more of a small and quaint Café, but it's still very cute. I was positively greeted by the ladies in the front and my order was promptly taken. A little pricey for 2 tacos ($11), but honestly, that seems to be the norm now. The tacos themselves were a bit disappointing. Very dry, salty, and just not tasty. I have been going to cafecito since they opened their first location. I have loved it since and was very excited that they were opening a restaurant. I waited the first couple of weeks after opening to check them out because of how long the waits were and I was a little let down on the service and quality of the food. I felt that it had changed and was very overpriced. But again I understood because now they were a fully operating restaurant. Then, there seemed to be no structure and everything was very hectic and rushed. If i would have left a review then it would have been a 3/5. I wanted to give them another try.. last Sunday my husband and I decided to give it another try and let's just say they have been working HARD. The service was great, only waited about 20 mins and the food was phenomenal! They have added new menu items and the atmosphere is much more calm. I understand opening a restaurant takes a lot of time to perfect and improve and I believe they are doing just that. read more

I've been coming to Cafecito for a while now, and I want to start by saying the food is consistently great flavorful, fresh, and always something I look forward to. Unfortunately, the service has taken a noticeable turn for the worse. The waitstaff's attitude has become increasingly unpleasant. Simple things like asking questions about menu items or requesting additional items seem to frustrate them, which makes for an uncomfortable dining experience. What's even more disappointing is how rushed customers are being made to feel. During my last several visits, we were pressured to finish quickly and leave. One experience really stood out our waiter told us, word for word: "Are you done? They are telling me I have to rush y'all because we have long waits." That's not something any customer wants to hear while trying to enjoy a meal. If there's a time limit for dining, that should be clearly communicated either with a sign or noted on the menu so customers know what to expect. No one should feel rushed out in the middle of their meal, especially when they're paying to enjoy both the food and the atmosphere. What made the situation more frustrating was noticing that another larger group nearby didn't seem to be rushed at all, which made the experience feel inconsistent and unfair.( I don't even have to explain why they were not rush *cough* *cough*) I truly hope management takes this feedback seriously. Cafecito has amazing food, but the service needs significant improvement if you want customers to keep coming back. read more
