Interesting place. The coffee is not bad. I like the sweet milk they use. What brings this place down is the pastries. In a word, terrible. The pastries were as dry as sand. They actually crumble like beach sand. I ordered the banana Foster muffin and the pumpkin scone. The dryness of the pastries actually made me thirsty. Kirsten is a gem, always smiling and helpful! The moon milk is sweet, but oh so delicious! The oat milk is sooooo good! Can't go wrong, if you don't like it too sweet, start with the 1/4 moon. My favorites from here are the wintermoon and the vanilla chai latte! I get 1/4 wintermoon but a good first time drink is the 1/2. I also loved the iced vanilla chai latte! I love Summer Moon. After living in Austin for 4 years, I am a die-hard fan. And I was beyond excited when I heard they were coming to Houston. The location does not disappoint. It's filled with the exact Summer Moon decor and design that I expected with the red brick interior and the large wall-length windows that keep the entire place bright and airy. Clean. If you're unsure what to get, I would recommend their moon milk. It's Summer Moon's special milk mixture that they use in place of normal milk. You can ask for it to be non-dairy if they have it made (since it is a mixture - so it needs to be made in advanced), and the non-dairy is made with almond milk. SO good. A wintermoon is the iced version while a summermoon is the hot version. A half moon is half the amount of moon milk. You can also get quartermoon, or I get whisper moon, which is just a splash of moon milk (and the perfect sweetness for me - since I like the moon milk, but I prefer black coffee normally). What can I say about Summer Moon? Two words. Moon. Milk!!! It's amazing! I frequently get iced green tea lattes from Starbucks so, naturally, I had to try the Iced Matcha Moon Latte at Summer Moon. Let me tell you, if I lived closer to Summer Moon I'd probably get one of these everyday!!! The creaminess and sweetness the moon milk adds to the matcha is on a whole other level. Can't wait to go back to try the wood fired coffee with moon milk of course!!! The customer service is top notch as well! Honestly my favorite coffee shop! The coffee here is amazing and their moon milk is to die for . The cinnamon iced latte is my go to drink since they add oat milk into it as well. You can't go wrong with any drink here. Their pastries are also Soo good, from a local bakery, cakeandbacon but the strawberry cheese danish is my favorite. My first time trying out summer moon was in Austin and I was so happy when they opened on in Katy! I haven't tried much from their menu but the moon latte and mocha moon. Their coffees are on the sweeter side but you still can taste the coffee and it's absolutely amazing. The coffee is smooth, blends in nicely with their signature homemade moon milk. I usually order half moon and it's the perfect amount of sweetness. However, I find that it also depends on the baristas that make the drinks. Some makes it stronger and some make it sweeter. Went there to just kill time, I ordered a latte, I was kinda disappointed that they gave it to me in a plastic cup and not a mug but it was really good! Soft, creamy tho a bit strong at first, probably from the beans they use, I had to use 6 sugars, but overall I like it very much, enjoyed it while I read my book! I go here at least 3 times a week, the best coffee in Houston!! The costumer service is the best, John, Adele and Sammi already know my order when i walk threw the door, they are always so happy and helpful and keep me coming back!! I recommend the iced Cinnamoon if you love cinnamon and oat milk. My friends love the Wintermoon, their milk moon is delicious so any drink here is worth a try. 100% would recommend if you're in the Houston/Katy area and love coffee :) read more

True story: I started drinking Summer Moon lattes since they opened almost exclusively. I then got a latte from Starbucks for whatever reason and nearly spit it out. I forgot how below average and burnt Starbucks coffee tastes. So yeah Summer Moon will make you never want to go to Starbucks again. The regular lattes and ice lattes are fantastic on their own. Throw in moon milk though and you'll know why it's sometimes referred to as liquid crack. I prefer the 3/4 moon myself. Luckily I live in Katy, but it's worth making a trip if you don't. I love the baristas here. They are all so friendly and welcoming. The only thing I don't like is the $.50 service fee to order ahead. Would never stop me from coming here though. The service was lacking and even though the place was empty I had to ask for help/assistance so that I could spend money there. The African American lady was very very busy on her phone but the Asian lady realized the aforementioned lady was busy with her phone, she stopped stocking and came over to help, there was a 3rd lady just standing, I assume to be the manager, no one knew what French Roast/dark strong coffee was or what they had as an equivalent.. the lady gave me what she thought was a close approximation of what I wanted but no, it wasn't, they need a strong dark roast coffee and or training in customer service.. and my table was sticky and dirty.. I was ECSTATIC when I heard this place opened up in Houston. My first time trying it was in Austin and it left me wanting to go back to Austin just for the coffee! This place is super different from any coffee chain in Houston. Summer moon makes its own version of creamer called "moon milk" for their coffee. The moon milk is creamy, sweet and unlike any other coffee creamer I've tried before. If you like your coffee iced and semi sweet, do yourself a favor by trying the half winter moon latte.
